Followed it pretty closely in case it turned toward us. Right now it is a 2 but expected to drop to a 1 tomorrow. It is still a ways South of us but it is so spread out, we are already getting heavy bands of rain and periods of high winds. Later tonight through Friday night they expect 30mph+ sustained winds up to 60 in gusts. Typical tropical storm conditions for us. Hopefully the electricity will stay on.

One forecast model predicts landfall around Delaware, the other around Maine. Plus you got that other storm coming in. Lets hope Sandy stays East. If not, I have to tell my kid that she might get a hurricane in NJ.

I know this is serious business, but I couldn't help but chuckle when I read that. Who would have ever thought, you leave Miami to get hit by a hurricane in NJ.

Hopefully it will turn to the Atlantic and lose its steam.

It is pretty ironic. And chuckle worthy. The Pirate Princess and another girl who also lives in Miami are probably the only two people on campus who have any hurricane experience.

That's probably a pretty common in this group. I just checked and it looks like you could get a Magic View 3 bedroom villa at BLT for the low price of 51,000 points for the year. If you get a good deal on points that's only 5 million. Sure Golden Oak would be cheaper but can you really put a price on that view.

Fed just posted on Facebook that he is stuck on Small World. If he is there any longer, the ride will be down for a while to fix all the damage.

I think the last time we rode it was 2007 and we had to force DS (6 at the time) to go on it. We laughed about that. While other parents were forcing their kids on BTMRR, we were forcing ours on IASW.

There is someone on the DVC board that is snowboarding at DVC. I did the math around $220,000. So I told DW we needed to catch up. She did not agree.

DW work drama continues, but on to happier news. Just ordered DW wedding band, I know I waited 2 years, it came in less than I expected. So hopefully it is ordered soon and she can stop nagging about when she is going to get one.

Storm update. Lots of rain and wind. Decent gusts at times. Most of it comes in bands and then settles down. FPL has a power outage tracker on their website and there about 200 customers in my area without power. Knocking on wood right now.
