They have their team picked and play their first game tomorrow night. They are still a couple of weeks away from the first tournament. He played with this team last year and they won Provincials. He is one of 3 returning players so I think they have some work to do in order to repeat.

Good luck to him. Got some time to practice basketball skills.

Grew up in Louisville watching NL central teams. Louisville then had the Redbirds, which were affiliated with the Reds or Cardinals, or maybe both at different times. That was the closest I had to a pro team in my home town. My dad had work tickets about 20 rows back off 3rd base dugout. The best of times.

I think my dislike of the Cards is based on Larussa and their seemingly unwavering support of McGuire.

Oh yeah, he was a juicer. I'm not one of the delusional fans that believe Clemons and Bonds innocent, although I'm glad to have learned pain killer and B-12 shots in your butt can lengthen your athletic career. I don't feel cheated because I just don't care. All sports have referees, because every player is going to try an gain an advantage. Some just took it to a whole different level.

Sounds fun at the zoo. We haven't went with soccer. As for distraction, i shout squirrel at her every now and then to remind her of Up.

I try that, but she starts looking around for the squirrel Zoo was nice, a bit on the busy side given that it was fantastic fall weather, and the leaves were in full colour in the area. Looking forward to a winter visit when it is nice and quiet. Heavy hype for next year there too, when they get in some Giant Pandas.

Evening folks, got woke up 4 hours in to my sleep with really bad reflux, been a while sense I have had to deal with this. Now at work and hopping the night flows well.

Ugh, lost sleep sucks, especially on a night shift shift. Hopefully tomorrow's sleep'll be better.
