Hi dads. So in taekwondo class today, I'm the only white belt with two black belts. During sparring, I got kicked in the nose. If you can guess what sitcom line went through my head, I'll mail you a treat from Disneyland when I get there Friday. 4 days. Woot!!!

How about "Boot to the head"?

Morning guys!

Glad yesterday is over, had to go to a funeral for a friend's 5 yr old son. He had CP and they think he had a seizure in his sleep and his heart stopped. Nothing good.

Got so much to do today it isnt funny, have to get huge amount of stuff ready before I fly to San Diego tomorrow. I will try to let everyone know how it goes.

...which one of y'all kicked me?

Morning Dads....

I am drawing a blank on the sitcom line... so let's go with:

Aaaaaarwwwrcccchhhhiie! (Said as Edith Bunker)

Morning Gents!

You have to hate when your vehicle starts to over-heat but love it when you find out it is a problem covered by the warranty.

Have a good one.

Good and bad news.

I'm glad they found fifi and thank you for the compliment, I hated lying to her but I couldn't bear the look in her eyes crying and feeling like fifi was gone forever, that was a rough night for her and I , I did what I thought would make her feel a little better, not saying a lie makes it better cuz it doesn't and of course it back fired on me, now she has a friend for fifi an a carrying bag haha

My oldest 10 still has purple bear. She got it when she had her tonsils out. Since it came from the hospital, there is no way to replace it. Fortunately, we have kept it this long. She sleeps with it every night.

"That's gonna leave a mark"

American Heritage Girls. It is like Girl Scouts, but Christ centered and no fund raising. They meet twice a month and earn a variety of badges.

Cool. Hadn't heard of that.

I'm at a loss as how to help her. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Do they ever go to any other theme parks and do they enjoy them at all? :confused3 I think you just have to let them know what is available, how much there is to do and how incredibly themed all the parks are. If they don't want to spend the money, that's on them, you did your part.

If nothing else, let them know that they can add the days once they're there if they have fun at the parks on their 1 day. If they're just that hung up on the money, I don't think pressuring them to spend it will probably be in your best interest.

Wow. We're super tight with our money too. But I'm tight most of the year, not on vacation. I don't try to save money on vacation and if I did, it wouldn't be in Orlando. A one-day ticket is about as inefficient as you can get. Go with Paul's argument. Or you could play dirty and sell the kids on all the things there are to do in the different parks and then end with, "Oh, nevermind. You're just going to one park." Or send them the vacation planning dvd. Disney is not about saving money, it's about what you get for your money. Also push them towards undercover tourist. That's where I always get our tickets to save a few bucks.
Yeah, same here. When it comes to Disney World, I tend to part with money a little easier. I guess they've done a good job on their pixie dust formulation. pixiedust: :rotfl:

We have iphones here. The wife decided to upgrade to ios6 and crashed her phone. We tried to fix at home with no success. Apple said we needed to restore the settings and that made it worse. I guess it's the Genius Bar for her this morning. :lmao::lmao:

Good luck with the phone.
The Apple Store is the number 1 reason why I don't have an iPhone... There just aren't any convenient locations around and if I have phone problems, I don't want to have to wait a couple of days and have to make a friggin appointment just to get it taken care of.

I really like my Samsung Windows phone. But, I like iTunes much better than Zune which is the Windows equivalent.
Never used that one. I have an iPod, but never really cared much for iTunes. I actually haven't even used my iPod since I got my smartphone last year and probably couldn't even find it if I wanted to use it. I use the Amazonmp3 app on my phone, and I like it better than both iTunes and the google app.

I'm pretty sure this can't be right, but since the season premier of one of the best shows on TV was last night, I'll submit this one in its honor...

Slap Bet!

Saturday is free coffee day at Krispy Kreme!!! Just a lil fyi for them coffee drinkers!!!

Morning guys...off today with the kids, school re-organization day.

marsha,marsha,marsha...... these kids are to young for that show.:lmao:

I'm not too young, just choose to block it from my memory.

That is incredibly sad and tragic. Prayers for the family to get through it.

I just saw that next year we could be facing a bacon/pork shortage!

Hey Fellas. Been busier than a one legged man in an a** kicking contest so my DIS time has suffered greatly. I did get the first update to my TR posted and skimmed most of the last day or so of the dad's club. Got my annual post card from the Packers updating me on my current position on the season ticket waiting list. Priority number 18,306. Up 155 from last year. :woohoo:

Happy Tuesday Gentlemen.

Hi Everybody!

I've come to the conclusion that as long as I don't try to do anything, my son is content. However, once I make a decision to apply my energy to a specific task, it throws off his equilibrium and causes his vocal chords to vibrate very fast, resulting in an uncomfortable, high-pitched, auditory sensation.

It is happening right now, as I type this.

:headache:

Have you tried Neo Citron? It helps kids relax. ;) :rotfl2:

I'm worried about not having Apple store as well. iTunes has better functionality than Zune.

Can you sign up your children for tickets?

Prayers for the family. I can't imagine the loss of a child.

Here's my 2 cents on the events that unfolded on MNF...

Yes, the replacement refs suck. I don't want to pile on them though, because they are coming from the lower level college game to the NFL. The rules are slightly different and the game is faster. I don't blame them for being confused and making mistakes, but we're going to have to deal with it until the NFL brings back the real officials. I actually feel sorry for the replacement refs, because I'm sure they didn't ask to be thrown into that situation.

As for the actual play last night. The Green Bay defender allowed the "simultaneous possession" rule to be called into play by trying to catch it. I feel like they deserve to lose for that stupidity alone. Never try to get an INT on a hail Mary play. Swat the ball to to ground. The only way Tate even got his hands on the ball was because the defender tried to catch it.

I completely agree about the overall situation. The replacement refs aren't to blame nearly as much as the league for letting it get to this point. As for last night, yikes. I usually would agree that he should swat the ball, but that tactic backfired in the Detroit/Tennessee game.

The main point we should all take away from last night is that the Packers are 1-2 while the Bears are 2-1. So clearly, the Bears are the better team.
