good morning!:thumbsup2

Hey Dave.

Good morning fellow dads, it should be a busy week of after work cleaning and start getting things ready, next week is going to be interesting , my supervisor usually makes me do a lot more work before I go on vac in order to pretty much make up for the time I'm gone, ahhhh trailer parts gotta love em

Yes, definitely getting excited.

::yes::

Talked to Mom last night....she's on two Percacet (Zerfs...need help with the spelling on that one) every 4 hours or so.

They filled her prescription and got home to use them and found they were short 28 pills!!!! !

Yikes. That is the good stuff.

I like my Android. Make sure she downloads the Amazon App store too. They offer a different pay app for free everyday.
!

I really like my Samsung Windows phone. But, I like iTunes much better than Zune which is the Windows equivalent.

Norm, congrats on the win, hope you didn't have to bribe those kids too much :) haha

No bribing. They all get equal playing at all positions throughout the season.

Not this time, Tday we went to the Philly Zoo, Thursday we are going to see How to train a dragon (guess it's some kind of play or something), then it's off to Busch Gardens for Hollow-O- Scream, the rest of the week I'm going to try to get the fence done:scared1:, not much planned for the week:lmao:

Sounds fun, except for the fence work part.

Well, Day 1 of meetings over. Looks like the next two days will be even worse. Ahhh, meetings. Need to waste time? Need to waste money? Don't want to waste that money on employees? Have a meeting. Need to waste more money. Make the meeting last multiple day and provide lodging.

Just when I start thinking about going to the iphone.

AHG?

Will we be there the same time? We return home October 12.

I like the idea about getting them the DVD. My first trip, I had no idea how big Disney was, and only having 1 day of park tickets wouldn't have been enough.

Thanks. We are 5-1 on the season, and I'm happy with the team thus far. I have two really good athletes who have not played in a system before. So, while they do make plays, they leave holes as well. But, they are still doing well, and we'll get another shot at that team.

There are other places that Disney around there?

American Heritage Girls. It is like Girl Scouts, but Christ centered and no fund raising. They meet twice a month and earn a variety of badges.

Well I gotta tell the dads about my horrible father moment

My DD has a stuffed poodle named fifi that she adores more then anything else ( toy wise) well Thursday fifi somehow got lost at daycare and we spent Thursday and Friday looking for her at daycare, Friday night DD is balling her eyes out over missing fifi, well I get the bright idea to find it on the Internet and order a new one, and this one comes with a polka dot carrying case (even better ) so I order it and then tell DD I sent fifi off to the doggie spa to get clean ( a total lie I know) well she replies " fifi is just a stuffed animal and doesn't go to spas" , which of course I miss judged how smart and old my DD is. Moving on to picking my DD up today, daddy daddy we found fifi!!!! My eyes get wide and I realize Beverly i gotta come clean and apologize for lying to her, she forgave me, we'll we get home and new fifi arrived, DD takes one look, this one doesn't look like fifi. Talk about a DOH moment in fatherhood for me

They called the pharmacy and they did a pill count. Their pills were what they were supposed to be. So that means that someone took some out of her bottle before the bag was stapled closed.

Looks like they might have a dealer/addict working for them!

:scared1: Hope this gets rectified soon. Will you get reimbursed?

Morning guys.

In 24 hours I'll be in WDW. Just a tad excited. :thumbsup2

I think you went above and beyond to make your DD happy.

Amelia's first "one true toy" was a small stuffed Ariel doll, from the Disney store, went everywhere with her. We got smart, and bought more when they got marked down and hid them. Came in handy when she got sick right before a Disney vacation, threw up all over ot. My mom who was waching her at the time cleaned/disinfected it, but had a strong cleaner smell, so we let ot air out and brought a sub, she never knew the difference.

Of course it is no longer her favorite. :sad2:

I'm really at a loss. I know they are really responsible with their finances, but even though they have money and they are really concerned with paying for more than a single day of park tickets. An uncle is renting several 3 bedroom villas for us at SSR so they don't have to worry about room cost. We'll probably do BBQ's and stuff at the resort in the afternoon so they're main costs will be park tickets, transportation and dinner in the parks.

How would guys try and convince them to spend the extra $600 or so to go from 1 day to 4 day tickets for their family? I've tried talking to them about the things in Epcot, AK and MK that I think their kids would really enjoy, but they are still really struggling with thinking about spending $1000 on 4 days of entertainment.

We're any of you nervous about spending the money on Disney before your first trip? I think part of it is that it's more about the reunion and less about Disney. If they had been planning a Disney trip I might have been different.

I'm at a loss as how to help her. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That's a tough one.

I personally would think it's not worth getting involved.

Some people are determined to not have a good time. And if they already have a bitter taste about it because of the $$$, that's all they will obsess on. And if for any reason they don't enjoy themselves, they will always say "That %^&$%^ Ryan made us spend $600 for this?"

OR

You can tell them that it is the number 1 tourist destination in the world, and it is NOTHING like their local 6 flags, so pony up... and have a good time.

We have iphones here. The wife decided to upgrade to ios6 and crashed her phone. We tried to fix at home with no success. Apple said we needed to restore the settings and that made it worse. I guess it's the Genius Bar for her this morning. :lmao::lmao:

Good luck with the phone.

Thanks... she likes it so far...

I have an iPhone 4S - I upgraded to iOS 6 with no problem... but I used the Genius Bar in Sandusky, Ohio... :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:
If that's where the world is heading... brace yourself! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I'm glad they found fifi and thank you for the compliment, I hated lying to her but I couldn't bear the look in her eyes crying and feeling like fifi was gone forever, that was a rough night for her and I , I did what I thought would make her feel a little better, not saying a lie makes it better cuz it doesn't and of course it back fired on me, now she has a friend for fifi an a carrying bag haha

Hi dads. So in taekwondo class today, I'm the only white belt with two black belts. During sparring, I got kicked in the nose. If you can guess what sitcom line went through my head, I'll mail you a treat from Disneyland when I get there Friday. 4 days. Woot!!!
