Shhhh...:ssst: playing hooky now... going to the beach :beach:

Darn, no beach here. Must hide at bourbon bar.

Thanks for the welcome. George will not be the worse thing I have been called. I does not get any better than a club that has bacon as its' official currency!

Welcome.

.

I’d like to tell my cable provider to take a hike, but the rest of my family wont have it..

Me too. Down to basic. Ready to get rid of it, but keep internet.

I can't tonight. It's county fair night. But if you're coming Saturday, I'll bring my juggling balls. If not, I'll be eating fire at the renaissance faire in August.

Sounds cool.

Morning...

Gotta work nights tonight, had to switch so that I could attend an asthma clinic for Audrey, while we picked up a couple of pointers, it really wasn't anything we don't already know. Ah well

Hey guys it is another Chris looking to join the club. Is this the thread where I can get a number?

Welcome!!

Shhhh...:ssst: playing hooky now... going to the beach :beach:

Sweet, I won't tell...

Been there done that....had to replace the whole system in May...at least we got to it during "summer light" for South Georgia:lmao::lmao:

Not fun. Hope you can get that sorted out fairly quick.

Been there it sucks, hope it gets fixed soon.

Man that sucks!

Hope you can get it fixed on the cheap!

That sucks. Hopefully your basement stays cool-ish for you. We're in for a hot one today.

Thanks for all the well wishes. The guy came out and looked at it. The capacitor went. The house is cooling down already. :dance3:

Tuesday ownage.

Some time yesterday the air conditioner died. The house never really cooled overnight. Right now I have two overly warm kids in the basement who refuse to fall back asleep. :headache:

When ours didn't work the last time, shut it off for several hours and returned home . It worked then.

They have given up. Spent a lot of taxpayer money on the stadium with the promise they will put together a competitive team. Looked like they did at the start of the season. Now they are waving the white flag.

As far as an uproar, not much yet. We are used to it. After all, they have a history of doing this. When we won our first World Series and before the celebration parade was over, they sold off the team. Same thing happened after the second World Series. I bought a 20 game package this year and have enjoyed watching the games so far. Thought things might be different but guess not.

Used to be a full season ticket owner but got tired of watching All-Star games and saying, former Marlin, former Marlin, former Marlin... I took a leap of faith that things were going to be different now so I came back to baseball. Haven't been a fan for years. Not sure if I am renewing next year or will even be a baseball fan. Sucks because I really like the game.
.

YOu are still lucky. It is beautiful to be at the ball park watching a game. Managed to get 4 Reds tickets in outfield, behind 3, 5 rows up for $100. Not a bug Reds fan, but live going to the GABP. I have to drive 3 hours and stay at hotel.

6 hours on the river. 3 1/2 cases of beer. Strangely, nobody had to pee.
I love tubing. :cloud9:

Except for the one who stood up and peed out of the canoe.

Was it the flux capacitor?

When are you going? I need to try to get back down there some time soon.

Last night in the hotel thankfully. Trying to keep up on the iPhone is futile. After 3 nights I've confirmed that canceling the TV a couple of years ago was a good move. The only thing that I've seen worth watching was the Weather Channel.

And sports.

So we started shopping today, let me tell you washing machines really went up in price in the last 8 yrs:rolleyes1 Most likely will not be built as good as the one I'm replacing, they keep adding features to make things easier, I call them money makers since these will be the 1st things that probably will need to be replaced::yes:::badpc:

Someone has to pay the price for outsourcing jobs.

Um... I think the words "Junior High" define the age range well enough for me. I'm not sure I want to know why the specific age in that range might make a difference for you. :cheer2:

Apparently, you are quite unfamiliar with the KY educational system.

This morning DW wanted to know what I was doing up late last night. I told her I was catching up on the boards. So then, around 11:30am or so she saw me on the computer and asked me what I was doing. I told her I was catching up on the boards. DW says, I thought you did that last night?? So I responded, "yes, but now they're all awake again!"

DW now believes this thread is the biggest "time suckage" ever created. :rotfl2:
!

And you replied, being married to you is the biggest time sucker. :rotfl:

Why can't you have two? :rolleyes1

Andy's just a associate...

Two nemeses? Isn't that what a DW is for?

sounds good to me just give me a heads up and we will make it happen, i was thinkin it was nuts to stop that long on the way to disney to just eat and look at some shops. if i remember right after the last trip to disney my parents took my brother and I on. my mom discovered the wonderful world of flight and hasnt taken a car trip since, we are flying down that sunday, which is alot better for my sanity and my DD4 we flew down to orlando 2 years ago and took DD2 at the time to nick studios she had a blast

Will do. DW and I are taking last week in July off. We're going to see Dave and the Children's museum and a Reds game. Were thinking about Mammoth Cave. May be able to add RFC trip.

Always tough to be away from the kids when they are younger. Me? Can't wait to drop the kid off to school on August 23rd..

Yes, but you'll find some dust along the way.

Lots of anti-LCBO in the news lately.....must mean contract negotiations are right around the corner. Oh good, I finally am starting to de-stress, time to worry about my job again. :guilty:

Breakfast, winery tour, and lunch are done. Buffalo Trace Distillery next and then a three hour drive and my day will be done as well.

This sounds very similar to my thoughts on the Twins. After years of seeing the emerging talent leave with little or no compensation I thought things would be different. Ownership said they needed a new stadium. Once they got the the new stadium they resigned Mauer and bumped their payroll. Then after one bad season they slash payroll and say they now can't compete because they can't get the TV deal like NY and LA. I've decided I'm done with the Twinkies until they get new ownership.

Same Carp here. Sad because I love baseball and going to games. The season that started with a lot of promise is gone.

I just can't believe they're giving up so quickly. I can see moving maybe 1 or 2 guys to get some young talent, but to be giving up what they have already is ridiculous. They're only 8 games out of
a wild card spot. That's nothing at this point in the season. Just ask last years work series champs.

Chalk it up to a cheap owner.

You are right. Maybe I'll just go and enjoy seeing certain players from the other teams. The product they will put on the field is not going to look good.

Yes, but you'll find some dust along the way.

I hear the roads going back to Miami from NJ are especially dusty.
