Smartphone cameras are getting pretty good. It's nice to have that feature to get a quick pic :thumbsup2

Yes, all the last one I took were from phone. Good enough picture quality for my purposes.

I've not yet had the opportunity to try one...think i need to talk to agents about it, I'd like to see what the fuss is. Right now our liquor board is really trying to boost Premium Tequlia and American Whiskey. Buffalo Trace and Blanyon's have gone from one-shot purchases to regular items.

Buffalo Trace is being praised here as well. It has only been around 11 years? but is getting all types of awards. I have yet to try it though.

DW used her iphone more than her camera, so it gets passed down to DD1, but she really wants a camera to take into a pool /the lake etc..so is looking at one of those, along with a decent point and shoot with excellent zoom for me. Any videos I can do with a point and shoot

I can do videos with my phone but I'm sure the quality is not as good as others. For whatever reason, I just have never gotten into videotaping stuff. I may regret it when older. I enjoy looking at pictures, just not the movies so much.

Well, with Tuesday night's rain, the non-enforced fireworks ban was lifted yesterday. So, it was a fireworks show all around. We watched from our backyard and enjoyed the free show, and skipped the traffic of going to the riverfront. Burgers, hot dogs, beer, fireworks, and s'mores. A good time was had by all.

I have to take my car in for some new tires. I think I am going to just add fronts only as the back looks ok. Then, a day at the office and a 3 day weekend. Have a great day everyone.

:wave2:

Good morning everyone. Gosh I can't seem to drag myself out of bed. I am so tired. Hope everyone's 4th was safe and treated them good.

Morning...

I worked...

See, in Canada the significance of July 4th, is that it is the day after July 3rd, and the day before July 5th.

Hey fellas....

I was in the middle of a long heartfelt post to you guys last night but then I lost it. I was so mad that I just shut off the computer. :badpc:

Anyway, I hope everyone is well and I hope to pop my head in here a little more often now that my work has slowed.

Oh yea, 8 days till our 2 day Disney cruise to nowhere out of NYC! :cheer2:

Good to hear from you stranger. Have fun on the cruise.

Typical heart felt post from Brian.

Good Morning Norm, ole' bestest buddy pal... Here's hoping your day is infused with sunshine and happiness, and your nights with... well let's keep that for the other board.

May your health keep your heart tickin' till 120 and your wealth get you there in style!

How was that...?

VenomHatch,

Do you have a flickr stream or a site that I can check out your shots? I am an amateur myself and would love to see what you have posted.

Matt

I had my trip report. But I have a photobucket page with only a few shots on it. I'll search for a link here in a minute.

I have pm'ed you the info.

That was hilarious. It's not like the Canadians were involved with our independence right lol. I was sitting here last night wondering what if any significance the fourth was to Canadians.

Great goal. I have the same. Any plans on how to accomplish it?

I have a plan to resign window units so that the glass will direct the light into solar collectors built into all the edges of the frames and pass that energy directly back into the power grid (imagine if all the glass skyscrapers were also massive solar panels), but… the engineering of this particular boondoggle is turning out to be just a might prohibitive.

You are only 6 numbers away from wealth...

Good luck with that!

Down here we refer to that activity as: “Paying your Stupid Tax”.
Being as I am a might on the stupid side, I probable need to go out and pay that one a bit more often.

Fair enough… we have a similar opinion about July 1st, so that make it all even.

TIM!!! :wave2:

Well haven't all of you been chatty Kathy's this mornin?!?

Happy 4th everyone. To celebrate Independence Day, we visited Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial. Very moving. Hope you are all having a good 4th.

Awesome. Glad you were able to check that out. What a day to do it.

‘Morning all…
First time this week I’ve been able check in. Somehow or other, I need to become independently wealthy. This “work” thing is really cramping my Dis time.

Agreed. If you figure out the secret, would you mind posting it here?

Day 6 of no electricity. :sad2:

I'm thankful that my gas grill has a side burner to heat water (and that I don't need electricity to have water).

I'm pretty good at surviving without the power but I would be more accepting of my fate if it wasn't going to be in the high 90's with 50% humidity. :crazy2:

Stayed home most all day yesterday so I did not have internet access. I'll have to try catching up through the day today.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Hey Norm! :wave2:
You forgot:

that's nice 2
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Didn't go there. Not sure if you and your nemesis have any posting competitions.

Brilliant. And, since I said brilliant first, do I get a royalty on the product?

.

A Dave Ramsey fan? I know it's my stupid tax, but $50 a year to never work again seems like a reasonable gamble.
