Did anyone see the article in the WDW news section, where a father kicked his son in the face at Epcot:scared1:, If this guy tries to join DDC I'm sure that everyone would feel the same way that membership would be denied, man card revoked, and should not be allowed to be a dad, this is just sad that someone would do this:mad: To top it off the guy's a doctor
I think if this guy applies, we just let Fed kick him in the face.

Great job with the decoration and food, but ummm...this one is a bit disturbing. You're eating their children?
I was kind of thinking the same thing... the theme night looks awesome, but that was a bit disturbing.

I'm still trying to figure out why we needed another version of that story. :confused3
Yeah... me too. But I wondered that about the Hulk a few years ago as well, and every reboot of Batman that seems to come out about every 10 years or so.

I think we have a winner.

Morning dads!

Another scorcher on tap for today. I think I will move to somewhere cooler - like Orlando. (It's pretty sad when Florida is going to be 5-10 degrees cooler than upstate Illinois. . . and it can't be any more humid. Plus, at least it would be Disney.)

Morning gentlemen! At least it isn't Monday.

...

DS took a tumble down the stairs today. ... But he seemed to be okay.

Glad he is OK. That is where the gray hair comes from.

and the food...

Nice. I'm no where near that creative.

I think if this guy applies, we just let Fed kick him in the face.

+1

I like the way you think.

Assuming you're willing to spend it...
I may not be, but someone will.

Anaheim is supposed to be 73° today. Disneyland, here I come!

Why should Fed get all the fun? I say we all line up and take turns.

Morning guys. At the lake for the week, haven't had a chance to check in much. Hope everyone's doing well.:thumbsup2

Morning Guys! Day 4 without power at home, but the office is back up a running now. :headache: At least I should be able to check in a bit more.

For the record, cold showers suck even if it IS going to be in the high 90's.

Why should Fed get all the fun? I say we all line up and take turns.

::yes::

And congratulations on making the run last weekend (and not dying of course).

Thanks. Since you brought it up, I might as well put an update here for those not following along with the Nemesis Challenge Thread (link in my sig). Tim (that's nice) challenged me to run the Disney World 1/2 marathon in January. I've been training and did my first 10k race on Saturday. I finished in 1:05:22 - under my goal of 1:08. Tim is still recovering from an Achilles problem, but hopes to get get doctor clearance next week to resume running.

Sounds fun. Have a good trip.

Hope you get power soon. Cold showers stink.

Congrats on the finish. I was successful in my goal of drinking less than 12 beers at Saturday party. We need to celebrate.

Cameron family? Are you related to THE James Cameron? Can you get a DDC stand by entrance to the new Avatar land at AK?

I'm still trying to figure out why we needed another version of that story. :confused3

I guess Hollywood ran out of movies.

I think if this guy applies, we just let Fed kick him in the face..

Just have Fed shoot him.

FInd me a place, pay for it, and I'll move in next door.

Next May I am buying my wife a new car, I want to jump her up a few notches, so she will be going from a Dodge Grand Caravan to either a Caddy STS or a Lincoln MKX (used of course but with less then 50k) :confused3

Go for the Cadillac. DW wants one. Lottery.

Second random thought - when my kids are complaining when I am mixing a drink, I pour in a lot more alcohol than I might otherwise.

That's a good idea regardless of the situation.

I told them it is less crowded, you can maybe get a seat and it is near where the parade ends, but it is still the same parade!! Also, since we will probably be going to the parade after dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, it is closer and makes more sense.

Bottom Line: "You mess with a Disney Dad, you get the ears!"

Our usual spot is across from LTT, but last year we were at the front to the entrance of where they cross the bridge from castle going to Frontierland. They looked great with castle backdrop.

Or maybe we could set up a jacket exchange... just like the stroller and fridge swaps on the board..

Not another swap.

is your boss on the boards??? I thought DW didn't look to see what I posted in here.... boy, was I wrong.:

I hope not.

We've watched the parades from all over, but "our spot" is right across from the Liberty Tree tavern. That whole area is less crowded and you can usually find a good spot. The one caveat to our spot is that you need to know which direction the parade is coming from so you can position yourself on the right side of the bend in the path. If you do that, then you usually have a great sight-line of the parade as it comes at you, because the people sitting next to you end up being slightly behind you as well.

That's our usual spot.

DS took a tumble down the stairs today. We got a little lax with keeping an eye on him going up and down. He's been so good with getting himself around and then today, he got to the top, sat down, and leaned a bit too far and right in front of my eyes, down he went. Most horrifying couple of heartbeats I've had since I saw DD fall headfirst into the stairs. But he seemed to be okay.
!

Scary stuff. I hope all is ok.

Well hello there!!

I'm on the new app and finding it much easier to access the boards and comment from my iPad and iPhone, so here I am. :wave2:

Plus I have had the weekend off. Had some friends over and just got back from a boat ride out on the lake, we went for a swim and had BBQ on the neighbors boat.

I may try the App again, but just couldn't get used to it. Sounds like a fun weekend.

Good day. Saw Amelia off to her grandparents for two weeks, then took Audrey to the pool. Man, was it crowded, it hit capacity at one point. Afterwards put some movies on to watch, Despicable Me, and The Muppets. Finished off the long weekend with a great dinner: Grilled steak, potatoes roasted in garlic, onion and butter, and grilled bell peppers, with peanut butter cup ice cream. All and all a good weekend.

Sounds like another fun weekend.

Hello friends - long time no visit.

Life has been very, very, very busy. In the midst of Scouting's zenith right now with all of the summer-time activities. Just got back recently from Summer Camp, where I took 104 youth and 46 full-week adults, plus another 8 partial week adults. We have an amazing Troop. Coordinating it all is very much like bringing in a small army... but I LOVE doing it!

Oh yes - and Happy Independence Day! ( a tad early).

Sounds fun and a like a lot of work. Have a good 4th.

Mayberry is looking for a new sheriff, Andy Griffith has passed away.

I loved that show.

Maybe the 24th. Definitely the 25th!! I will PM you with my cell # and E-Mail. I always have my phone and I am a huge text message guy.

Oh, please settle a bet for me - where is the best place to watch the Main Street Electrical Parade?? My wife knows where I suggest, and wants her family to see that I am right.

Well, got my daily run in. The weather report, BTW, is staffed with a bunch of liars. Winds, cooler temps, less humidity - all lies! Today was just as bad as yesterday - in a different way, perhaps, but really - when you are running, there is not much difference between a heat index of 98 and one of 104. Both are ^%(&$* hot.

Mike: Excellent Job on the TS movie night.

Who is Mike?? :lmao::rotfl:

Great job with the decoration and food, but ummm...this one is a bit disturbing. You're eating their children?

I was kind of thinking the same thing... the theme night looks awesome, but that was a bit disturbing.

My original idea was to have mashed potatoes coming out of the back of Mr. Potato Head... Eating their children made it a bit more appetizing. Tried to think of them as illegitimate to alleviate the guilt factor.

Wow, you went all out! Nice work!

Thank you. I'll pass along everyone's comments to DW. She did all the work, so I can only take half the credit. :rolleyes1

Glad he is OK. That is where the gray hair comes from.

I started going gray even before marriage and kids... at this rate i'll be fully white-haired by the time I hit 45!

Nice. I'm no where near that creative.

A lot of this stuff is out there on the internet. We borrow a lot from others and then try to put our own twist on it if we can.

Congrats on the 10K!! Keep it up!!

No relation as far as I know. I am hoping that he's egotistical enough to have his name in large letters somewhere so I can get my picture next to it. Perhaps my KTTW will then double as a FP for whatever ride they put in?? :confused3

That's our usual spot.

Well, if we're ever there at the same time, I know where to find you. Another plus to that spot is that the shortcut to Adventureland is right there as well. Just a short walk for DoleWhips.

Not for parade, but this might be where we'll enjoy our sleepy hollow sandwiches this trip.

We've sat in those chairs and on the stairs when across from LTT is taken. More shade there and more comfortable, but across LTT, I can sit on the wall while my dds sit in front row and I can still see them.

I'll work on my daily beer tonite.

I was going to ask for a raise for that assistant job if you were. That parade spot also gets you to Haunted Mansion, picture with Tianna, or cut through to Fantasyland, depending on where on the masses go.

I loved that show.

May he rest in peace! For a city kid, I learned a lot about rural living from Mr. Griffith
