DIS Dads DDC XX - The Quest for More Bacon...

This probably belongs in the prayer thread, but central Indiana has had about .005" of rain this month. This is a whole .3" less than the record low total for the month. Combined with 100 degree temps we could see this week, we could start seeing fields catch on fire from morons chucking cigarette butts out the window like we had 2 years ago. On top of that, corn will be getting ready to begin pollination around the end of this week and the 2 biggest things that interfere with that process are hot and dry weather. This could be a year for the history books around here, and I don't mean that in a good way.

Thanks for the prayers... actually just heard my first report of a field fire around here.

Wheat harvest just pretty much ended, but there's still some straw being baled. A local farmer was out baling straw and apparently ignited the straw on the ground with a spark from hitting a rock. They got a few bales, but lost most of the field. Let the fun begin.

Sorry guys it has been a while life seems to always get in the way and I cannot figure out how some of you can juggle between here and FB you guys are supermen and i must be a superkid lol . well a little bit of catching up need to be done But i just want to also say sorry to me nemisis

Well on to some good news i got amongst all the bad is i'm going to disney with this check list NO wife No Kids !!!! SOLO my first solo trip anyone want to come plenty of floor space? the best part is how i pulled it off , wife comes up to me and asked if she can go to vages for a digital scrapbook meet well did not take all of about a second to say No Problem if I can go to Disney for my 45th Birthday Solo she hasitated and said Yes i was schocked so here are my dates 11/28/2012 - 12/04/2012 . this trip is not costing me that much money since i own dvc i did a favor for a friend and now it is payback , im staying at a value because if no one is with me i do not need anything better . GEE I HAVE A WHOLE ROOM TO MY SELF HINT HINT ???
Now the bad my job is suppose to be gone by august I'm hoping for longer but since my company sold out and this other company cannot seem to find and hold help i might have a month more maybe ? so im on the hunt for another job for the first time in 15+ years , I have a security job lined up for money in the meantime for when this job goes under a customer of mine said i have one if i need it .
hope all is well i will try and check in from time to time now if i can kick wife off computer ! and long live the dole bacon whip!!!!!

Congrats on the solo trip. I'd almost take you up on the room offer, but I've already got one for a couple of those days.

Good luck on the job front. At least you have something lined up in the meantime in case you can't find something you want.

Good day today. The plane ride was a bear. Got to the hotel at around 1 am Miami time. Nice place. Slept like the dead last night. Woke up to this view on my balcony this morning.

Tomorrow starts three days of diving.

Speaking of D-Cot, I was listening to Illuminations (again!) a few days ago while working. I was paying more attention to work than the music (shame on me), but all of a sudden my brain said to me "Hey Barry, I hear Winnie the Pooh." Assuming my brain was going off on one of it's flashbacks/trips/La La Land Adventures, I just said "Ok, brain, whatever you say." But then I stopped to listen just a bit, and sure enough, I heard Pooh Bear too! Jim Cummings, the narrator for the opening of Illuminations also does the voice of Pooh. Now whenever I hear this...
