I was going to wait to show anyone this video until I started my mini cruise report on my PTR but I'll show you guys cuz I like ya. :rotfl:

Click on the picture to see Juliana's reaction to finding out we were going on a Disney cruise! Ghetto taping... sorry, I just recored this off the TV. :crazy2:

Ummm...can I send you the bill for Juliana blowing out my speakers with that scream? Your drama must not have been too bad if you rebooked. Can't wait to read about the cruise.

Are they accepting new exhibits... I'd love to put my children on display at the museum.

Good question. Do they have a teenager exhibit?

Here's a couple of pics from Wonderland...

Also extreamly cute. You could see her mind working, "We are in New York. Disney is no where near New York yet we are going on a Disney Cruise?" The scream brought back memories.

No, we do have the best Children's Museum in the U.S. and the NCAA Hall of Champions!!

I've heard that from DW. She wants to bring the dds and go the museum. I thought it was silly to drive that far for a museum. Maybe we can together and include a museum trip as well?

Sure, you can drive Until Chatanooga. I have to after that since FED will be escorting me through the great state of GA :rotfl2:

I can ride in the back. Just holler when you're on the way, I'll pack, and wait by the mailbox.

I wish I lived in the real Canada.

I would visit you there more often.

I'll put it to you this way....there's been a couple of times I've woken up and forgotten where the heck I was....and, sadly, it *WAS NOT* related to alcohol or other fun/recreational activity...:faint:

Yeah, it's much more fun When alcohol is involved.

DW & I love cruising... this was our first Disney cruise. We haven't cruised for a while due to having a kid, dealing with kid issues, and then having another kid. :lmao::

I have never been on a cruise before. I am going in with an open mind and an open stomach.

called the Beach Club just to inquire about having guests at Storm Along Bay. Told the official answer is "No", but that if I ask at the desk, I *might* be able to get a daypass??? DW and I are staying at BC with the kids, but the rest of our family (12 people) is staying off property. I guess we'll find out at check-in, or the next morning since that's the day we would want them to come hang out with us..

The only one we have yet to stay at. I would like to try the SAB. But, now that we own at BWV, it is not as pressing. But, then I could claim to stay at all DVC AT WDW, so it might be worth trying.

All there is to say is that Disney does it best. Need to start the planning for the DDC. We come away from this trip seriously considering DVC once again. I just can't decide whether I should go direct or resale. Thoughts?

Glad you had a great trip. That Louisville traffic stinks right now due to bridge construction/ repairs.

As for DVC, go resale. We went through TIMEshare Store. You can give them my name but that won't get you anything. We have bought contracts thru Disney and TSS. The advantage of going thru Disney is that you get the points right away, you can get a reservation that has been held back in cash inventory if resort is booked, and you can use your points for more options (go to non DVC resorts around the world.

The advantage of going thru resale is you get your points way cheaper. And I mean, way cheaper. If you plan on using your points at DVC resorts and have a few months befo your next trip, resale works great and is cheaper.

Afternoon guys.

Lots of chatter on here today. Anybody workin'? :confused3

I'll second Turtle Creek area. It's a long walk to the Hospitality House but nice, quiet area and you may be able to hear the music from Illuminations at night. :thumbsup2
::

Lots of hard work to get out of working. Yeah, we would grab something at the Turtle Creek shack when it was open, but otherwise, just rode the bus up and exited the last stop. A little shorter walk. We liked Olivia's well.

I'm working awfully hard at not working. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

And exceeding expectations at it.

.

That would be fun. We could do dinner back here at Casa Del Nicceli :thumbsup2

We live about 20 minutes from the museum and 5-10 from the interstate.

I love French food. Is that between Bistro and Chef? :lmao:

But they couldn't justify all their time that way

Really. I have a boss that signs my evaluation, but I have 4 other bosses I get emails from to mail stuff in print. Ahhh, the University efficient system.

So, I take it you had a good time? DW was just talking about the possibility of booking our next cruise while onboard. But now she's wavering.:

So, this is the marketing plan.

I’d be in total agreement with that one. No one should make a long distance trip to the Charlotte area just to see Carowinds. Now if you wanted to also see the NASCAR Hall of Fame, take in some decent AAA baseball, spend time at the National Whitewater Olympic Training Center, check out a couple of Revolutionary War national battlefields, (while also partaking of some dang fine BBQ, RoadFood approved fried chicken, excellent fried seafood or some, amazingly good hotdogs) it would be a different story.).

You didn't mention to take in a Bobcats game. :lmao:

It's a trap!

making a mental note for future reference... and filing it somewhere I'll probably never find it again.

Funny how the brain works that way.

Another Monday ownage.

Cut the grass today. I let it go way too long during the dry spell and the weeds really grew fast with the rain. It was a hot. I wore a dry fit shirt from soccer and see what you all are talking about. I definitely sweated thru, but it did not get as heavy. But, it did not feel as good to wipe off my forehead as the cotton ones do.

Dry fits are great. I am taking a couple with me for the Sept. trip :thumbsup2

Picked up on that one did ya’?
The general opinion ‘round here is that there is no professional basketball in this part of the country.

A while back this area heartily supported a mediocre to bad team by offering up the leagues best attendance record for better then a decade. George Shinn then made it his personal mission to screw-over, alienate and embitter the entire area so thoroughly that I doubt even a good team will evoke much of a following.
