Morning guys,

Back from the Keys to a chilly (I know it is relative) Miami. Will post a couple of pics later.

Hey, guys.

Weird day yesterday. I was at work and started feeling chest pains mid-morning. Lasted about 10 minutes or so and then slowly started going away. I hemmed and hawed about whether to go to the ER or not, and finally decided to get it checked out. Turns out it was a false alarm, and they couldn't find anything wrong at all. So I guess it ended up being an expensive physical. I feel a little silly about it, but I guess you can't be too careful in that case.

Anyway, it would have been a lot more fun hanging out here and talking golf and which coffee is better than Nescafe (such as Pennzoil).

From Patrick's (TurkeyLurkey's) Facebook:

So in case you were wondering what was up with me the last couple days, here's the rundown. I went to Fast Care on Thursday due to the issues previously discussed here and was diagnosed for ear and sinus infections, put on antibiotics and eardrops and sent home. Well, I could tell the sinus was getting better, but my jaw was getting worse and I could not swallow without pain. By Sunday, I could barely open my mouth a centemeter. And while some of you saw that as a blessing, it was making me rather miserable, so after a call to our physician, we went in to the ER to get it checked out. After a couple hours there of trying different methods to get into my mouth to figure what was up, a specialist was called in and determined based on a CAT scan that apparently the sinus and ear infections spawned an infection in and about my jaw muscle tissue and membranes, causing them to swell and make it difficult to open my mouth. Left untreated, this infection could have closed off my throat or traveled up to my brain. They decided to keep me overnight for an aggressive treatment of stronger antibiotics and steroids (to make the swelling go down, which I thought steroids did the opposite of that). I responded very well to the treatment, and they wanted to keep me an extra night to continue, just to be on the safe side, and released me this morning to regular work, diet, and activities. I am still not 100% yet, but I feel MUCH better now than on Sunday. I am still on the mend, and am now taking my meds orally now. I have decided to sadly bow out of Bards on the Bay performance this Friday, I am just going to rest the next few nights and get better so I'm there for Annie's trip to the hospital. I do hope to make it to the audience for Friday's show if all goes well. And that's the world I know.

Glad things are OK/better for you guys. Scary stuff. As the poster child for the "It will get better on its own" philosophy, I can attest to getting things checked out. Six weeks in a hospital will do that.

I just love how wonderful the news makes east KY look. This is the county next door.

I've seen worse less than 20 minutes from here.

Plan on showing this to DD to illustrate how good she has it. Prom planning is in full swing here.

Good morning guys -
Back at work, but unlike those two days last week when I was escaping the in-laws, I really don't want to be here now.
Ryder is doing well and seems to be a pretty happy baby most of the time. Except from 9pm to midnight or so. Once I did get him down last night we got a solid 5 1/2 hours of sleep, though!:thumbsup2

Too much to go back through, but I did see a few things to comment on:
Mark - we're all glad you're not dead. :thumbsup2

Patrick - same thing.

Andy - good luck with the coolant. And the baby.

Today I am officially the father of a 10 Year Old!!!

Happy Birthday Bayley! :cool1:

I'm trying to catch up a little bit. I'm glad the heart thing wasn't something serious.

We listened to the "Blue Sky" podcast on the way back from the beach. That was one of the best Disneypodcasts I've listened to. It sparked a lot of discussion in our car.

Morning gents. :surfweb:

Just checking in, live from OKW. Going to be a slower pace today as we hit the pool and DTD. Been a GREAT week so far and I have officially completed the transformation of all three DDs to Thrill Junkies.

DD5 is finally 48" tall and that is enough to ride just about everything. Yesterday, she took on Star Tours twice, ToT twice, and RNRC three times and wanted more. :woohoo:

Hope everyone else is having a good week and all is well.

:rotfl2::lmao: Hey! I resemble that remark!! :thumbsup2 I remember being 35, I think.

As a grandfather of 3 and a great uncle of 2 I guess I fall into the old guy category. Sigh!

Good morning all!

Prayers and good thoughts and pixiedust: to several who are dealing with health issues.

Happy Birthday Bayley!

We really are. So much so that I really haven't posted very many pics on the face place. Having too much fun to remember to share. I love watching along with everyone's Disney vacations, and when I take one, the pics come up short. :sad2:

I'll try to do better.

Glad to hear that it was nothing, and that you got checked out to confirm it!!

That hearing loss couldn't have been by those errant flash bangs, right?? :lmao:

I think old man Winter just wanted to show young little Spring what he's really made of! I think he's just being a punk... :rotfl2:

It's probably more likely from the mulitple days, hours etc. from training with the Mark 18 (the "short" M16 in all my Iraq pictures). It's significantly louder than "standard" length M4's. They *just*, as in the last month, started restricting the number of rounds/hours you can train on the system due to the volume. No such restriction existed when I was training/operating.

:scared1:

So, what, temperatures dipped into the high 60's? :rotfl2:

High 40s....and that's criminal for this time of year

Hey guys...greetings from the WFH (Week from hell), lol!

Crazy week with work and family...but at least it's the 30 day mark till we get to WDW...now I just have to survive my oldest DS graduating from college in 2 and a half weeks...

I need a Dole Whip and some bacon, lol!!

Will
