Off to meet the kid who dares to ask my child to the prom. Leaving a bit early so I can stop at a tattoo parlor to get a scull and crossbones tattoo on my forearm that says killer. Check CNN later to see if a crazed dad goes on a rampage and runs over this kid that dared to ask his child to the prom.

Maybe she needs to get her own insurance separate from me. That's still 6 years away, and the way she drives the Indy cars at WDW, I may not let her get her license.

"discount" yippie!!! so we just put her on with us. i also took out a million dollar liabilty policy. its about 300 a year. just in case. im sure all states a different. it came down when she turned 17 and came down even more when she turned 18. again when she turned 19.
when she gets her car paid off, then she is going to get her own policy. she should have it paid by the end of the year.

My grey hairs are easily hidden by keeping mu hair cut short. #1 guard in winter and no guard in summer.

speaking of car insurance. our chrysler town and country is paid for. we dont use it much so its in good shape with very low miles. tammy drives a 2001 (not a misprint) chevy tracker. even that only has 60k on it.well, she has been hinting for a new car. ( some women are just never happy )
her idea was to trade the van, save the tracker for the winter. they wont give us anything for the tracker , its a great car in the snow so we should just keep it. she was looking at a lexus rx350. nice car but it is a little big. she has been looking, on line for awhile. the other night she says she had something to show me? ok, she says look at this. its a glk350 benz!!! i just laughed!! theres no way we are spending 60k on a car. she said ,no, look. shes looking at one, as an example, well loaded and can grab for $38k. sounds like alot, but have you price a pick up or anything other than a puddle jumper? she checked the insurance. ITS CHEAPER THAN WHAT WE PAID ON THE VAN! my agent tells me, the insurance company dont care to much about the car. they know what they cost to replace or to scrap. what they are concern with is the injured people inside the car and the cost of injuries. injuries is where they pay out alot of money. ok, i get it.... so its based off crash test ratings and acci. survivablity. she was looking at a honda and a subaru, it was more than the benz. were in no rush so shes still looking. i thought that was intresting.

Sent the little one back to school, she slept soundly through the night, so that makes one of us. Woke up over a dozen times, and got confused by the time, thought it was tine to wake up at 1am Ugh

congrats!!!! i have good news for you. your car insurance only doubles till she turns 18. than it will come down 10 percent. tell her good luck!!!

I had to change from the insurance company that I had been with for 18 years. Couldn't afford them when I looked at adding a 3rd driver and a 3rd vehicle.

Good luck to the both of you. Mine had two accidents in less then three months after getting her license. So I think I have filled the Dis Dad quota. And don't start me on the cost of insurance.

That is the nice thing if DD gets a boyfriend I don't approve of, I have access to 14,000 acres in the middle of nowhere.

I hear they are great fertilizer.

OK, so I met the kid that wants to take my child to the prom. Would like to say I hate him but he really is a nice kid. A bit goofy but who wasn't at 18. Whoa. So not only did he walk out of your house intact and with permission to date your daughter, you gave him baseball tickets? He must be some kind of smooth talker. I see a future in timeshare sales for this kid.


Ryder has been napping on my chest for the last hour or so, so i've been catching up on the Dis while i relax on the couch. These baby vacations are pretty awesome!
Had the little guy at the doc Tuesday for his checkup. He said all of the trauma from his rocky start to life is behind him and he is a perfectly healthy little boy.
