You can always tell when I post from my iPhone. I have to figure out how to get on " over there " from my phone next.
Just saw an ad for idiots!! Get up to a $5000 loan
At 116.73% 84 payments of $488.58!
That's $41040.72 for a $5000 loan!!

Is it CDN$ or US$, cause I just may be interested.
And just on an aside... I am STILL trying to figure out how to keep a Canadian in suspense. It has to be at least 2 months since I was asked, and have still yet to find the answer.
Ugggg... sorry to hear.
But hey, it's the weekend and your in Kentucky... a bottle of Burboun will wash away all those worries.
im a bit out of the loop anymore and im not up to speed on what is going on with everyone. im not blowing anyones post off, i just dont know what were talking about yet.![]()
6 weeks and the kids are done with a week off for Easter, state testing, fun days, field days and probably a field trip thrown in the mix..
I posted this on the disdads.com boards, but thought I would try for some opinions here, also.
Well, I am at a bit of a dilemma and wanted to get some opinions:
First of all I have to say that I love my job. I work with great people and the hours are great (Mon - Fri, 8-5.) I am an IT server/systems administrator. I like to think I am a very important part of the company - I am the resident virtualization guru (VMWare), head up the network monitoring, and am the 'go to' guy for major IT issues that need to be solved. Really, the only bad points are that it is not a huge company, so my pay is not quite up to industry standard levels and not much room for advancement.
At my nephew's birthday party, I was told that an acquaintance (my sisters' mother-in-law's stepson - how's that for obscure?) works for a large company looking to hire some IT people - Strategic Client Architects. It is going into a little different type of job, but uses my experience well. It is almost a sales-like position - or at least a lot of customer interaction. It is a huge pay increase (over 50% more than what I make now) and with the bonuses - almost twice as much. (More Disney trips!)
I don't know if I should inquire and see about interviewing for the new job (if my skills fit), or just be satisfied with a pretty great job with the lower pay. I know that the current company I am with will have a tough time replacing me (not meant to sound egotistical - just that I have so much knowledge of the current setup/situation, it would be a long transition for someone to learn it all.) I guess I could try to get an offer, then go to the current boss and state the facts (that I love working where I am, but the pay differential is huge) and see if they might increase my pay - but I doubt they would get close to a match in pay. But those situations aren't ideal. I feel a loyalty to my current employer (we are a tight-knit 'family'), but how do you turn down a potential salary of twice what you make?
I have some other thoughts/opinions, but wanted to start with that and see what y'all think.

Brian, you know I love you Man, and we're going to make a lot of money, but:

I'm too cheap to water my grass anyway. If it turns brown, it turns brown. It usually comes back. Otherwise, there's always Astro-Turf.!
next thing you know they'll be making it illegal for kids to be "forced" to clean their rooms..
I had a similar issue about a year ago with my neck... Dr prescribed muscle relaxers and they actually worked. Hope it get better soon... that kind of pain is quite annoying.
Can I still force my kids to mow the lawn? They're just about getting to that age.:
Hey guys... there's been a question posed to the dads for advice on an anniversary present:
1 yr of dating- need some manly opinions
hmm... I'll have to find a reason to protest and make her do it. That reminds me that while I was raking she was sitting and watching, and then she says to me, "are we going to take better care of the pool this year?" (it was green more often than not last year) My response was, "who is this 'WE' you are talking about?" Her involvement in the yard is limited to the vegetable and flower gardens. Everything else falls on me.![]()
We just debated it as well when DW saw a dress on sale from the disney store. We bought the dress online to save a few bucks and are going with the hair/nail package. We'll still get photos, just not the "Photo Shoot". We'll be posing for pics the rest of the day anyway, so I think it won't be missed.
Increase the National Debt?![]()

We're hanging in there - what with the new business, a 16 yr old learning to drive, lots of Scouting stuff going on (it's that season once again... Summer Camp prep is in full swing!), I've been working on a book about the domestic Disney resorts, and and, and. Things are coming along with the business, though $ is getting a little tighter right now. The severance package $ is gone as of this month, as we move into living off of savings while the business continues to pick up. If everything continues the way it has been going, it's looking like the 12 mos vs. the 18... but we'll see.
I'd laugh, but when I think about how BAD our government is run right now, I'm crying. :
You can enjoy a good bottle of bourbon anywhere.
Same for us. Once testing is done then it is party time.
Perhaps you've answered your own question.

Unfortunately for Crash, the last half of her Senior year is crunch time. Massive (4,000 word) papers are due, ridiculously hard tests to take and even a 5 page synopsis of her community service hours and the impact of her volunteer work..
I am going to have to go back and see what I said.
Who knew I was so smart...![]()
In truth, I have never had Bourbon and I live in a dry county so I won't be getting any.
