I thought this was Dave, but the level of technological sophistication is a stunning step up from the level he himself assigned himself. So, either, "Well done!" or "Okay, Pod Person, what have you done with Dave?"



For the studios, you pretty much have to be on the north side to see the park. The BLT TPV room I had last May (on the south side) had a view of MK only from the far left of the balcony. I was told that if I wanted a better view, I should have gotten a 1BR or better room. Niiiiiiiice customer service.

Same way we do the math in our house, but I agree, it is not for everyone. At the time we bought in, I had no way of predicting that we'd be in the worst economic downturn in a century and Disney would run all these crazy deals to get people there. But I think that it still works out in the long haul. Especially if you have more than 2 kids, and plan on going about every year.

Speaking of Ghost stories, my brother and I were at the USS North Carolina over the weekend and did some ghost hunting with some of the TAPS (Ghost Hunters on SYFY) members. Here's a link on youtube to some evp's that we caught.

Love that show. In 2008 we went to the St Augustine Lighthouse and did their tour. I had an experience and it was wild. I was slightly skeptical before then even though I had seen strange things happen...that one gave me goose bumps, lol.

That and the Birdcage Theatre remain my two favorite eps.

I love to do those ghost walking tours when I'm in an old city on business. Done them in Boston, Savannah, and Williamsburg. So much fun!

Plus, my grandmother was born in Shanghai and grew up in China and Guam. Tons of old ghost stories from her!

Done a few Toronto tours. DW wanted me to go when we stopped in Savannah, but was just too tired after 2 weeks in Florida.

Here's our schedule for our week.

Sat. 31st - flight arrives around Noon - afternoon at DTD - Dinner for DW and I at Il Mulino
Sunday 1st - EPCOT - Lunch at Le Cellier
Monday 2nd - DHS - Dinner at O'Hana
Tuesday 3rd - MK - BBB at 11a - Lunch at CRT
Wednesday 4th - MK - Breakfast at Chef Mickey's
Thursday 5th - Split Day AK Morning/EPCOT Afternoon - Dinner at Teppan Edo
Friday 6th - MK - Dinner at 1900 Park Faire
Saturday 7th - Early Flight Home 7:30a.

Good use of time, sounds good!

Would love to hear more details about this transportation to universal from Disney, when you get more details.

We will likely do the citypass, which means both Universal and Disneyland.

I played around on Disney's booking site, and they have the ticket options/transportation right there in their booking.

Good evening Gentlemen.

It has been a busy couple of days and I am not sure what I have really accomplished. Oh well, I did the chores SWMBO has given me and sort of have fun stuff tomorrow. Tomorrow and Friday are "Student Led Conferences" at both the middle and high school. Since we are in constant contact with DD17 (will be DD18 on Saturday) teachers due to her not having enough credits to graduate in June, and in close contact with DD13's as she is acing most of her classes, the admin at both schools said they are excused. Tomorrow is also "Job Shadow Day" at Boeing so I will be taking DD17 to Boeing so she can see what her mom does. DD13 has an eye doctor appointment and then I think we will have a nice lunch before we pick up DD17....

Sounds like a pleasant day.

A couple of day’s ago the wife and I were talking about plans for this summer and I mentioned that a couple of y’all had gotten a hold of a PIN from the Land of Mouse. We both agreed that it would be better if we didn’t receive such this year as your addiction to Disney travel would likely throw any plan we were trying to make into disarray.


It’s like they have my house bugged or something…
I get home from work last night and right on top of the day’s stack of mail was a WDW mailer, with one of those bloody PINs inside. I spent the evening doing the numbers and tearing apart the calendar only to realize that I probably can’t use the blasted thing.


But now I’m going to be compelled to completely price out every aspect of our current plans and compare them to a fully priced out trip down to the World.

it has been a roough week with wife starting her first week of work and trying to find time to get on the computer . because it is like get home at 1145 pm go to bed about 2 am wake up 4am with wife to say have a nice day . then back to sleep till i wake kids at 630am up till 930am sleep till 130pm then get cleaned up and off to work i go and you wounder why me and my CPAP machine don't get along
hope to have time to play catch up tommorow but if not i will have the weekend wife off !!!!!!!!!! I do not know if this is a good thing or bad thing

Coincidentally, that's about the time we should be getting rained out of the fields, but I'm fine with that. We need it.


Actually, 3G is available even in the middle of a corn field. There's actually some use for it too. Over the last few years, the satellite mapping equpment and computers in tractors have become sophisticated enough, that right now we have programs where you take a card out of the tractor computer and put it in a laptop to download information. I can see this trend growing to where you'll just be able to put a wireless hot spot inside the cab of a tractor and do everything without even having to mess with removing a data card.

I'll have to remember to post a picture of the tractor I have to use. We have several but they will only let me use one which is more than I would let me use.
