A reasonably sensible conclusion to the current round of drama here with minimal bloodshed. :thumbsup2 Wonder how long until the next round? :sad2:

There are people who don't carry openers with them at all times?!

I won’t say I always have a corkscrew handy, but a bottle opener is a different story. I keep one of them on my key ring and another in each vehicle.

Never leave home without one.
:thumbsup2

Openers? I though proper etiquette was to finish your drink, crush the empty can against your forehead, then toss it into the bed of your truck as you reach for another...:confused3

Sounds like an awesome time!

My sister had the opposite happen. It was looking like her son was going to be born on April 1st, and she did NOT want an April Fool's Baby. She went into labor late on March 31st, and she was pushing with all of her might to get him out before midnight! She did it too, but just barely. :lmao:

Congrats on 1000! I can't imagine how bad your life is if coming here in an improvement. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

If I counted right, this was your 4000th post Barry!

Actually, it wasn't I posted over on Katoot's Resolution thread this morning. I then looked at, saw that it was #4000 and went ":confused3 I guess I save my big speech for 5,000." But thanks for noticing!

Or twist the cap off. It's not rocket surgery.
Boxes have twist off caps now? What will they think of next?

Wine opener is in the utility bag, that goes into checked luggage.
I always carry a bottle opener with me... my wedding band. Don't believe me? Ask Carl... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I can give a demonstration at the DDC meet in January. LOL

The only problem with placing them in your checked baggage is if 'they' ever lose your luggage you have to waste time buying another one. popcorn::

Is this while driving though corn fields and dairy farms? popcorn::popcorn::

CRUD. I have to work, literally, all weekend. I would of liked to come down to the city and meet ya.

Too bad, same here. But with the two NY schools as the front runners, I am sure I will be back often.

I already ordered a case of beer and a bottle of scotch for the room from WeGoShop. :thumbsup2

I think we'll be set for the week!

Were you a Boy Scout? That is being prepared. Let me know how the service is with WeGoShop. Since I drive, never used a service before. May start flying once in a while instead.

That happened to be once at the GF. Had to go down to the GF Cafe to have them do it. Now I have one in a pocket of the suitcase that never comes out unless I am on vacation.

So far so good on the WeGoShop service. I went with them because they were willing to make a stop at the liquor store for me. It's kind of a spring break tradition for us to have a bottle of scotch available to us. It's our night cap drink of choice. :thumbsup2

Ok, the divisions are set:

Mickey
- Mickey's Steamboats
- Yak n'n Yankees
- Splash Mountaineers
- The Hittin' Mickeys

Goofy
- BLT Goats
- Gray Sox
- Goofy Hustle
- JUNGLE (Nelson) CRUZ

Donald
- Baloo's Cubs
- Maelstrom Kingpins
- Epic Phillie
- PhineastoEzratoGus

Once again, the nemeses have been paired up in the Mickey Division - the Splash Mountaineers and the Hittin' Mickeys. This long rivalry will now continue for another season. Can the Splash Mountaineers - our returning champs - re-capture the magic again this year? The Yak 'n Yankees barely missed the playoffs last year, but were a very strong team in a Nepalese sherpa kind of way. Mickey's Steamboats better bring some color and a big whistle to compete here.

The Goofy division welcomes a couple of new teams to compete with our stalwart veterans, Goofy Hustle and JUNGLE (Nelson) CRUZ - our 4th place winner from last year. There has been some early confusion as to whether the BLT Goats are from Bay Lake Tower or if they have found a secret recipe on how to make bacon from goat. Clarification will be demanded or goat-bacon must be produced. Hopefully, the Gray Sox will learn How to Play Baseball very quickly because they won't be facing the Blue Sox this year.

Finally, the Donald division has last year's 3rd place winner, PhineastoEzratoGus, along with Baloo's Cubs and Epic Phillie, two veterans from last year's battles. They are joined by the Maelstrom Kingpins who hope to use their knowledge of Norwegian spruce to effectively build a roster.

Updates once the draft is finished.

Thanks Scott, you just cost me $137. Thinking about the May trip and getting an email from Travelocity, I checked fares to Orlando. That is round trip including fees. Considering it would cost me probably $80 - $90 for gas and tolls, looked like a no brainer.

A lot of talk about wine and wine openers:lmao: guess by tonight the cheese & cracker discussion starts:confused3

On vacation live it up a bit, go to the store at the resort where they sell the pints, and tell them to give you a bottle of anything and a glazed donut to Go:banana:

:thumbsup2 Glad I could help you spend your money!

Looks like you got a great deal!

I love these write ups.
You just brightened what had been a rather grey afternoon.
