Good afternoon eveyone!!!! Good news this morning...They were able to sprad out Ethan's breathing treatments during the evening and night to at least 4 hours and that was the clincher to get to come home. It is good to have us all under the same roof again! Heck I am glad to still have a roof after the storms last night :rotfl2:. We still ahve to give him treatments every four hours and by the end of the cycle he is starting to cough again. Hopefuly by the time he has to go vack to school on Monday we can have him shaped up more. Today was supposed to be his last All Star game of the season. Needless to say, he didnt get to go. That is ok though...his health is the most important thing and I think the whole ordeal was a little scary to him, but he wont admit it;). He and lauren used the facetime on the phones last night before bed and is was just so sweet to watch those two talk to each other. That is a nice feature on the phone that until then I had not ever used :thumbsup2

We have not had any real damage here around the house. At least not like they did in some close by areas. one town lost the fire house. It just collapsed on the trucks during the storm. I have honeslty never seen anything like this before last night. Lauren and I took shelter in the linen closet while the worst of it passed over. Shari said the hospital was on lockdown during the storm.

Wel, I better get moving just wanted to stop in and update on things here. Thanks again for all the prayers, text, and positive thoughts! it meant a lot to us and Ethan thought it was so cool that you guys thought of him! His little girlfriend came to see him after school yesterday with a bunch of balloons. Both of their faces lit up when they saw each other. She looked at me all serious and said that even when she was at home watching TV that she thinks of Ethan :rolleyes1. I think we have a second generation DisDad in the making (wayyyy in the future :rotfl2:).

Oh yeah...Brian I like how you used my color and font to ask about Big E :thumbsup. You guys missed me didnt you? :rotfl2:

glad to hear Ethan is home! hope he continues to improve and can go back to school monday! Also good to hear you didn't have any damage from the storm.

Glad he's back home, it's best to just rest.

Touringplans Blog just posted this:

Due to police activity in the esplanade (between the Disney and Disney California Adventure entrances) the parks of the Disneyland Resort are closed. Guests are not being permitted to enter or exit at this time. The initial shutdown began around 8 or 9 a.m. local time and remains closed presently. We will update you with details if/when they become available.

I'm reading Stephen King's "11/22/63"... just started it and I am hooked. got it off Epubbud. So far no transcription problems and it even includes color pictures.

I'm safe, but haven't heard from or been able to contact one of my research assistants and one of the agents I work with the next county over lives in West Liberty where much of the town was reduced to rubble. Her farm is between where the EF-2 hit on Wednesday and where this EF-3 went through yesterday.

glad to hear that you are safe. I hope we hear the same about your friends. Keeping my fingers crossed that you'll hear from them soon.

Scary+

Hey I don't know if you guys remember, but when we were closing off the last thread (not the leap day but XVI), someone asked me (I think it was Norm, but don't remember for sure).

How do you keep a Canadian in suspense?

Oddly, he never gave me the answer... must have forgot, and it has been bugging me ever since.

I've done a lot of extensive research to figure out how, and wasn't able to come up with anything. So, I went downtown Toronto (just outside the Eaton Centre) and asked some random Canadians, thinking they would know.

My results:

- Most people just laughed at me.
- A handful told me they would tell me tomorrow (I went back the next day and not one of 'em showed up), so that intrigued me even more.
- And 1 guy beat the cr@p out of me, calling me a stupid yankee. :confused3

So I am still searching for this answer, and am hoping whoever it was that asked me (Norm I believe), will come back and telling me, it's KILLING me!

It wasn't me. I tried to answer with the tell the Canadian to pee on the corner in the round room. I think Barry may have asked the question or provided an answer.

I just got two free tickets on Southwest so I think I am going to fly down with my DS5 for MNSSHP in October for a short father and son trip. DS5 is really into the villains right now and watches the Boo to You parade on Youtube all the time.

Any ideas on what is the best way to plan the trip? We'll probably just do two nights since he'll just be starting kindergarten. Southwest has flights available right now, but the dates for MNSSHP are not out yet. Are there certain nights (like always on Tue or Wed) that they usually have it?

Tim posted dates on previous page. My recommendation is to go on a Tuesday night. Those seem to be the least crowded. Also, the earlier you go in October, the better.
