Great job Norm! :thumbsup2

Keep up the good work, and if you feel real motivated, through in another 15 or 20 minutes for me.

Thanks. I'm lucky if I make it thru my own 30.

Got a heads up from my dad:thumbsup2 Seems like my sisters family has booked a trip to WDW, OK so whats the problem:confused3

My Dad thinks it is the same week I am going:scared1:

There last trip was a basket case, when I found out last year they were going, since it was my niece & nephews 1st trip to WDW I tried to give them pointers, but I fell on deaf ears, they had the unofficial guide book and knew everything, so a few days before the trip when they wanted me to give them a plan, I gave them next to nothing:rolleyes1

I've never read that guide, but it must not work, since I had to ask after there tales of the trip, So what DID you do:confused3

If what my Dad is telling me is in fact the right week, My sister is not giving up any info about it, but I know how she thinks, she would hit me with it a few days before the trip and try to collaborate with the Commandos, well the joke will be on her, since it's not going to happen, I would be able to get more done with 50lb weights on me ankles then with there turtle speed :rotfl2:

I don't think it would be to hard to dodge them the whole trip, since I like to dig in deep into the parks:rolleyes1

Never read it. Don't worry about them too much. Do your thing and if they want to come along, great. If not, no worries.

Please continue to pray for the family of my friend, Lt. Cmdr. Dale Taylor, USCG.
He was the pilot involved in the Tuesday PM Coast Gaurd Helicopter crash in Mobile Bay, AL. His body was recovered today.

My heart breaks for his wife and two sons. They were friends of ours, in our Sunday school class and Dale coached Upward basketball. Dale was a great husband, father and friend. He exemplified integrity and hard work in all he did.

The last conversation I had with Dale was about WDW. We sat and talked in the church gym while watching our kids play one Wednesday night. He loved taking his kids to WDW, and we discussed activities, resorts, restaurants and rides.

Anyway, thanks guys.

Godspeed Dale.

Prayers.

Good morning guys :cool1:

Stopher, I agree we need to have a Midwestern eat meeting among the dads.

Mark, we will continue to pray for you and your family.

If there is a Midwest. The first crack of thunder just sounded. We are to be pounded with storms and tornadoes all day. Storm chasers have been following this one since Texas.

We are going to do a Huber Farms and Mammoth Cave trip this summer. Nothing else planned yet.

Some of you from Facebook already know, but for those that don't....Steve (GoHerd) had to take his son to the ER last night for breathing issues. They're still there and are administering breathing treatments.

Prayers would be much appreciated!!

There was a pop up cell just a few miles north of my house this morning. I was getting ready for work and the sky to the north was black and lightning was coming straight down. It dropped some pretty good hail. It only makes me wonder how bad this afternoon will be.:scared1:

My nemsisis.... always the bearer of bad news!

I did not read this on FB.

I hope he's doing alright.

Prayers going out to the Herd!

Sounds like a lot of prayers are needed out there.

Prayers to Dale's family and friends, sounds like he was a true hero.

Prayers to Steve and his family for a speedy recovery / improved therapy for his son.

Prayers to Mark and his family as they continue to be presented with trials and tribulations.

Prayers to the folks in the path of these storms in the hopes that they pass without incident.

Prayers for everyone dealing with struggles out there.

Folks - just saw this (on a Canadian website)

Habit Heroes in Epcot, an anti obesity exhibit was closed down.

I've never seen this exhibit, but come on folks... really! Disney trying to bring awareness to a real (and potentially life threatening) issue, and people take issue because Epcot also sells hot dogs and sodas, so they are assumed to be hypocritical.

:sad2:

"As if kids, or adults, go to bed at night thinking hot d#$%, I'm going to be lazy and gluttonous rather than active and healthy."

Actually... it IS a choice. Let's see... too much food + not enough exercise = bigger body.

Their laughable attempt to place the blame on Disney with this statement is an indicator of where our "experts" our driving our country:

He proposed the company "start by taking a corporate stand and loudly and proudly put an end to their practice of licensing their beloved cartoon characters to sell nutritionally bankrupt food to children."

As if those characters are MAKING the kids eat the food! Helllooooo... the parents buy it for them! And I'm sorry, but even eating all that "nutritionally bankrupt food" for a WEEK at Disney is NOT going to make kids obese. Bravo to Disney for attempting to bring light to a very serious issue in our growing country.

Alot of thoughts going out... to those who've lost someone, to those dealing with hardships, and for all of us to stay safe.

thanks middlepat! this saved me the trouble of multiquoting!!

We never use any touring plans, just sort of go with the flow type of thing, other then our ADRs, and never fails us, we get everything done.:thumbsup2

Same here. We only plan our park days to coincide with our ADR's. Other than that, its "where do we want to start today. Do we go left or to the second start on the right, straight on til morning."

Let us know when you want to go to Hubers and we will be there. We are pretty flexible since our girls are not in sports yet.

I'm hearing thunder here now too.

I finally got around to purchasing a Disney gift card from Target, using my newly acquired Target Debit Card. As rumored, I did indeed get 5% off my purchase. The $50 card cost $47.50.

2012-03-02%252010.19.06.jpg

now, to see if there's a way to increase the % off... (one rumor has it that if you fill enough prescriptions at the target pharmacy, that you get a coupon for an additional % off your total purchase)

In my Target, I found the gift cards in the Books and Movies section, on an endcap with restaurant and movie theater gift cards. They had mostly the $50 cards, and I saw one $25 card.

‘Morning all…

I generally leave off the “good” part of that greeting (because that’s just how we say it down here), but it seems unfortunately appropriate this wet blustery day. My word but that seems to be entirely too much misery and unhappiness going around here right now…

To many of y’all in need of help to list, but thoughts and prayers are being offered up for the lot of ya’. Now then, we need some good news (of course I don’t have any right off hand, but we certainly need some).

Besides - all the other healthier options in Epcot, Garden Grill, Sunshine Seasons, to name a few..

WDW as a whole caters to EVERYONE. And there are people who make unhealthy choices (yours truly for one), if they stop selling foods to accommodate, that would have EVERYONE up in arms.

They'd have to replace the entire Germany pavilion!! There can't be one "healthy" food or drink served there!
