I would love to join the club. My family was laughing at how many of the qualifications I met.

Welcome! If nobody has jumped in yet, dues are payable in bacon and the new guy buys the Dole Whips.

Audrey tonight gave up her bacon from dinner claiming she didn't like it. I am considering councilling. :sad2:

Worse still, my other daughter beat me in the race to claim it.:headache:

So - I thought I'd share a little bit of drama with you guys.

This number has been calling the house here for quite a few days from the Aegis Group and we've been ignoring it, thinking that if it was really important they'd leave a message.

Well, tonight they left a message.

"This is Sean from Spirit Airlines calling in regards to your flight 801 on March 31st. This flight has been downgraded. Please call blah blah blah to be assisted in your travel plans."

:scared1:

Oh no they didn't!

So I called and I get some chick that doesn't hardly speak english and I can't pronounce her name.

Her - "Sir, it appears your flight has been cancelled for the 31st. We need to reschedule you."

Me - "What happened?? How could it be cancelled"

Her - "Due to mechanical Sir".

Me - "Huh?!?"

Her - "Let me check to see what the next available flight for you."

HOLD

Her - "Sir it appears there are no more flights for the 31st, the next available flight would be for the 2nd of April. Can we get your flight changed the 2nd of April for you?"

Me - "NO - you don't understand, I have to be in Orlando on the 31st."

Her - "I understand Sir and I do apologize, but I can offer each person in your party a round-trip flight for a future trip for the inconvenience."

Me - "NO - I NEED the 31st. I cannot be flexible".

Her - "Can you please hold while I check on one more thing?"

Me - "Sure"

HOLD

Her - "I'm sorry sir - I can offer your party each two round-trip tickets for the inconvenience"

Me - "NO - you don't understand, I HAVE to be in Orlando on the 31st! Whether its on your airline or another one, I need to be there on the 31st"

Her - "I understand sir and I do apologize, let me check with my supervisor."

HOLD

Her - "Sir, thank you for holding. You will be on that flight on the 31st. We will guarantee your seats"

Me - "So you're telling me the flight ISN'T cancelled???? I do have seats on it???"

Her - "Yes Sir, you will have seats"

Me - "So my flight stays the SAME?"

Her - "Yes, Sir. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Me - "OK thank you"

:sad2:

:faint:

Needless to say I'm royally P'd off.

I think I almost had the big one!

We've had these tickets since August 19th!

Obviously the flight is overbooked and they're looking for people to switch flights. Unfortunately, they chose to lie to their customers in order to get them to change flights rather than tell them the truth that it was overbooked!

And the whole time, I'm checking other sites for other flights and there are like 5 flights all for like $715 a ticket!!!

Gotta love the corporations trying to take advantage of the average family. How stupid do they think you are? I would be irate.

Just thought I'd share this drama with you! :thumbsup2[/QUOTE]

You joke - but this is a genuine concern of mine. Thus why I don't usually share with people on Facebook when I'm on vacation. Too many nut jobs out there that might get some ideas!

:thumbsup2

Completely agree. I keep information that I post on Facebook limited in general for that very reason.

Curmudgeon rant...Needed to pick up some deodorant quick and the local big box mart was out of my usual so I just grabbed some Old Spice. This is not my dad's deodorant nor is it mine as I read on the back

"Contains odor-fighting “atomic robots” that “shoot lasers” at your “stench monsters” an replaces them with fresh, clean, masculine “scent elves.”

I'm sorry, but if I am old enough to stink and need deodorant I am old enough to be talked to as an adult.

NOW GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

At least its not Fairies and bunnies planting seeds of sweet smelling flowers in your pits that are then watered by your sweat and bloom giving off a lady like aroma. :hippie:

Morning Dads.

I get to stay home today with a sick DS. Was pukin' throughout the night and we need this to be gone..FAST. Surprise cruise for him comes up a week from today and we need to catch our flight next Sunday. Hopefully this is the 24 hour variety.

The week before our Feb '08 trip we had tickets to go see Rain preform, that morning Ameliajust started throwing up everywhere, even her much loved at the time Mermaid doll, a mess. She recovered and had a good time. We replaced the mermaid doll with an exact replica, (we bought multiples, they were on sale) without her ever catching on.

Needless to say, hope DS feels better soon!

Does anyone remember Pepsi Blue from about 10 years ago? I picked up a bottle, just to try it. Gave DW as sip, she made me pull the truck over so she could throw up. :scared:

I remember that junk. Tried it once, made my tounge go numb, never again. Liked Crystal Pepsi though, wonder how that would have tasted with this..

for the record, I have a bottle of this, really nice

hope your feelling wide awake after last night but without the toothache thats what i go thru daily. have a nice week
it is good to have a great computer my company put in all new computers 3 years ago so they can do something like this and they keep telling us it is comming , it will come when i retire 15 years from now

The toothache came out of nowhere, hasn't bothered me since, really strange. I like this real-time system, makes it easier to track inventory and look for wayward bottles. The wireless portion though needs upgrading as do the scanners, they are aging not too well though

Good aftermorning/not quite noon. Relatively uneventful weekend which is the kind I like. We came through with out anyone coming down with some sort of illness which has been a rarity this winter.
Knock on Wood. Same here, nothing since Halloween. Mind you, I've felt like crud all day and getting worse. throat is sore, asnd sinuses are starting to get pressure. ugh.

So we are under two weeks until our trip and I'm hesitant about our Garden Grove ressie for our epcot day. I'm concerned that we will likely be in the world showcase that afternoon and not sure if it is too far of a trek over to the GG for dinner? Was thinking maybe via napoli or mexico for dinner? Or just roll with the GG ressie?

haha nothing like second guessing yourself at the last minute :lmao:

Garden Grill was great when we went, started out a bit dubious, with no server for 10 minutes, but he went out of his way afterwards, did an amazing job. We liked to food at San Angel, but have not yet tried Via Napoli (on the top of the list for trip though)

Well, after the first Sunday in Lent (I've been late to post it here), I have managed to refrain from alcohol and also included daily exercise. I struggle with both, especially the exercise part. But, it is my effort this season.

Good on you! Congrats

!

There's Garden Grill in Epcot and Garden Grove over at the Swan/Dolphin. Garden Grill is meal served family style from produce at the Land ride. Garden Grove had a seafood and other food buffet. Both have characters, Garden Grill had farmer Mickey, while Garden Grove only had them certain days of week and was not on DP. I liked the food better at Garden Grove, but I liked the restaurant at Garden Grill because it circled one of my favorite rides.

Wow. Anybody watching the race? Juan Pablo Montoya just smoked a jet dryer. The flames would be worthy of a spot in a Captain_Oblivious TR.

Burnt the tires off the safety truck. Getting the crane to lift truck up.

Ah, I read Garden Grove, but read Epcot night, so just assumed :confused3

Never ate at Garden Grove, but didn;t really mind the food at Grill. Actually thought the salad was one of the best I've ever eaten (and if you seen my pics, I'm not a salad person :lmao:)
