Snow.

There's snow on the ground this morning.

It was 50 just a couple of days ago.

Winter & spring just teasing us, like a cat with a mouse.

Snow??? Where's ours? I-70 must be the weather cut-off line again. Typical.

Good morning everyone :surfweb:

Morning men!

Morning all.

Mornin' guys! :wave2:

‘Morning all…

Morning Dad's...

Notice how I left out the "Good"... :rotfl2:

Had a long night last night, DW was feeling sick(which reminds me, need to disinfect the bathroom today), and needed a bit of tending to, and an bit of "leave me alone".

Hopefully it was just a 24 hour thing, and will pass as the day progresses.

Maybe it's Morning Sickness?

That is going around on this forum... isn't it?

But alas, I am quite sure she didn't catch that bug.

It is another morning with potential to be a good day. I seed several dads have had some loses, challenges, etc so prayers for you guys.

DS is working on writing "I will obey my mom" 200 times and we are painting his pinewood derby car as well. SWMBO and DD will be asleep for the better part of the day because of a Girl Scout Lock-In at the library last night so all in all I should be able to get caught up on a few chores today.

On a better note, DD17 is finally getting her beverly together about school. She might just graduate after 4.5 years of HS. She is taking a Forensics Class and is an alternate for the Team, which is going to a competition tomorrow. She did not pass the 1st semester and but started working hard at it when the instructor informed her that if she wanted to be part of the team, she needed to show she DESERVED as spot on it. He knew she could do the work, she just wasn't motivated.

Well I might have been a bit premature with my assessment. She was due at the school by 7:15 to catch the bus to the event. I was nice and bribed her with breakfast at McD's if she was up at 6:00 or so. She called a few minutes after 8:00 as she thought she had left the team's camera in my truck. It would be hard to take crime scene photos without a camera.:confused3

After her frantic call to me, I checked my truck and no phone. It appears she left it in a friends parents vehicle as she got into their van while waiting for the rest of the team and bus after I dropped her off. Why she did not leave the camera in her purse, I do not know. This is the same DD who had 2 iPod Touch lost or stolen in less than 2 months at school. And she wonders why we don't want to buy her any high ticket items?

Saturday morning squirrel ownage.

So, on the way home yesterday, I drove up near a SQUIRREL.

This must have been a suicidal squirrel as it ran over 4 lanes of traffic with turn lane in center. I had to watch it the whole way and it dashed just in front of my car without being hit.

Too funny, I think I almost scared one to death this morning when I started the snowblower up in the shed. Apparently it has taken up residence for the winter.

:headache: I love my kids but there are times I dream about them being 18 and out on their own.

10 more years that will go by too quickly once it is over.

Flurries today, 65 by Tuesday. Miami or Key West look better all the time.

LOL! That reminds me of a few years back. I had just bought my SUV and on the way home from work one day two squirrels came running out. Must have been a suicide pact, because I got one with each front wheel. thud thud...ugh.

I go to see the pulmonary specialist on Tuesday and am supposed to get my machine then. C-PAP, V-PAP, E-PAP. I don't really know. I just know I am looking forward to not being tired from the moment I wake up and hopefully have energy to exercise and get healthy.

We have a trip to FL scheduled for the July 8-14. We are renting a house that is about 10 minutes from the mouse. Mostly a relaxing trip on the cheap. We will probably visit MK for 1 day and then do 1 other Disney related activity be it DTD or a meal at one of the resorts.

Our other trip is just DW and I going to an AI couples resort in October for our 10 year anniversary. Really looking forward to that one.
Good luck i have many good things about it :wizard:
but me and mine do not talk
Just received an email from TSS that the Boardwalk contract was sent to WDW for ROFR. Hopefully, it will be mine in 30 days.
Good Luck soon we maight have something in Common besides Disney A Welcome home at BWV

It has been a long day and haven't been able to look at the posts.

My brother is doing better. They put a cath in which drained a lot of fluid so he is over the renal failure issue for now. They have him on medication for the pain. Blood pressure is very low so they might admit him to the ICU to administer drugs that they only can do in that unit. It is still just a matter of time but at least he is more comfortable. Thanks again for your concern.

On the lacrosse front they got their behinds kicked. It was a double digit loss but at least they scored a goal. In the first 3 minutes of the game (50 minute game) they were down 6-0. It was after all the first lacrosse game for every kid on the team. The other team has played a few years and are supposed to be reasonably good. They settled down and actually only lost the second half 4-1. Moral victories.

The Lacrosse playing Pirate Princess played well. Started at Center Midfield. They are the ones that do the face off. Got killed on the first one but then held her own. She had lots of practice because of the scoring. I think her and the other Center Midfielder were the best players on the team. All in all they were happy with the progress they made as the game wore on. So was I.

Have to go pick her up at school in a bit. Will try to catch up later.
pixies and cont prayers for your brother :wizard:

And guess who got their Magical Express packet today in the mail???!!

:cool1:
I can say I know this feeling I usually dance around the house knowing something magical is around the corner . So what did you do ?
