I have the originals on VHS. Han Shoots 1st.

and yes I still have a working VCR.

Me too for both of those.

We still use the VCR to record things from time to time.

Other than the original SW films, we still have about 8 movies on VHS, plus all of those home movies we took before upgrading and downsizing to the small tape camcorder, which was then replaced by the digital camcorder. I'm still going through transferring those things to DVD, hoping the working VCR doesn't die before I finish transferring them all.

Where are Fed and Aaron? I need the opinion of a law enforcment officer and a lawyer. I have a co-worker playing late 90's boy bands and Mariah Carey at her computer. I'm thinking either spilling water on her phone or hitting it with a hammer might be acceptable here, but I just want to make sure.

I'm here. I'm fighting a particularly nasty bout of influenza. Constant fever. Major chest congestion. I'm on Tamiflu, which should help get me through it a bit faster. I haven't had much energy, so I've mostly been surfing on my iPad - and for some reason The Dis keeps making Safari on the iPad crash. I'm hoping that I have sufficient voice to record as scheduled on Thursday. If we were recording today, there'd be no way. I just don't have enough of a voice.

Oh - and as for your co-worker - I think you might have some recourse through the Geneva Convention. Being trapped in a cube at work is the same as being held in a foreign prison, right?

Happy Monday....another week of opportunity.

Shorter week for me, but not for good reason. My Dad has his surgery on Thursday, so I'll be taking the day off.

But, the good news is that the BIG boss is away this week. On vacation in Aruba! I told him all the good places to eat. My DW and I went there for our honeymoon. My next favorite place to WDW!

I was definitely not excited. But since the yearly deductible had been paid, it just seemed like the right time. But hey- 3-day weekend!!

I just watched the original scene on YouTube.

Greedo has his gun drawn and is pointing at Han, but he never shoots at all. Han flat out kills him before it gets any further, which was probably the right thing to do under the circumstances.

Seriously! After all, it was a pretty dangerous cantina.

That just gave me a great idea for the title of DDC XVII: A Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy.

Well, the talk around the water cooler is that a coworker is being fired. They are on imaginary sick leave right now. I struggle. On one hand, if you can't do the job, then you don't need to have it. On the other side, this is not the best economy to find a new job in. Finally, with budget cuts looming, this may be enough to keep me safe. Now, it's eggshell walking at the office.

Norm, it's been like that for the past 5 years at my office.

We've been cut down by more than half in that time.

It comes to a point, where you expect it, and are quite prepared.

Still it's never fun...

Last week my boss sent an email to everyone in my group asking that we take a few minutes and send her a list of our strengths and weaknesses in relation to the programs/hardware we use. We all have individual meetings with her set up this week to go over out lists. I have no idea what she's getting at with this. Has anyone else gone through anything like this?

Back from Disney World and all i gotta say is Do Not Go To Disney When they are having a DANCE COMPETITION at ESPN. Went from a crowd rating of 1-2 to 4-6. Sucked!! I know we could have been dealing 10's but getting spoiled with 1-2's the having to wait for rides that were walk on earlier just stunk. Teen bopper girls everywhere. And I thought the Brazillion's of Brazilians took their trips in the summer? They were everywhere too. Caribbean beach food court went from 2 people in line to 20.

We've been there during cheerleading competitions. Roving hoards of tween girls. Run. Run fast.
