So my DW sees her gift sitting on the counter this morning and says "What did you do?? We don't exchange on Valentine's Day!!"

What???? :confused3

I kindly reminded her that a few days earlier she said that "Daddy had something special coming on V-day".

Well my something special was from my daughters....a box of chocolates and some novelty boxers.

:rotfl2:

So my rabid running around on my lunch hour yesterday to buy her a card and a gift of perfume was all for naught!

Oh well - she needed the perfume (hers was gone), so she appreciated it.

:rotfl:

Sweet - Didn't need to give a gift V-day ownage!!

A couple of weeks ago was my son's birthday and I mentioned a rumored gift; well, the rumors were true. His grandmother (my mother) got him:

3,803 pieces, built it in a week. Really cool stuff. I'll attach some pictures of his final product when I manage to download the pictures.

Awesome! My parents got that for the kids for Christmas, and they work on it every time they visit my parents' house. Can't wait to see what it's like when it's completed.

There's a chain of convenience stores over here that has a certain chime that plays when customers walk through the door. I just went there about a half hour ago and can't get the song out of my head.

You guessed it. "It's a Small World". :headache:

NOOOOOOO!!!

Great day today! Arrived at the Animal Kingdom around 10:00 am hit almost every atraction except everest. We ate at Yak and Yeti. Left Ak and went to kona cafe for dinner and then took old Band-aid over to the MK. Almost everything was walk on.:thumbsup2 Banner day! Everyone is very tired.

Sounds like a perfect day to me.

Morning all!

DS informed me this morning that he forgot to get a valentine for the kitten and told me to "Fix the situation.".

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

What do you do for a kitten? Give him a dead rat? :confused3

OK guys..after reading the DIS site for a couple of years, I have to admit that I hadn't stumbled on the Disdads club, but now that I did, and I read the bylaws, I'd love to join!

-I do solemnly swear that I meet at least 120 of the descriptions in post #1.
-I do plan, organize, and arrange every one of my er, uhm, excuse me, the families trips to the World.
-I do get more excited than the kids every time we arrive at Disney World
-I have thought about quitting my job to become a Disney security guard, but the wife keeps reminding me of tuition, college, etc. (what a downer)
-I am heading to the World again in August for 2 weeks

So how about it, can I join?

I've been sitting back and reading posts so far. It was overwhelming to keep up with at first. Most conversations I was lost in but I'm picking it up now.

No worries. Most don't even try to keep up with the conversations. We'll see how many disagree with me by replying to this. (there won't be many)
Ok, I replied to this just because Norm didn't think anybody would. I usually don't worry too much about going back and catching up, but since it was under 10 pages that I missed last night, I did.

Wow. I didn't realize Disney licensed their songs to novelty door chimes.:confused3 :lmao:

:thumbsup2 Looks like a great day.

Annnnnd we're back. After tonight it's going to be one of those weeks..:rotfl2: Never mind pushing staff, I was practically yelling this time. Doesn't anyone appriciate having a job in this day and age anymore? :confused3 Got a lot counted too..I counted more then 3 guys combined mind you, but hey, I'm that good. Not so good is having to hold the hand and guide those who are senior to me. If they want me to play Assistant Manager, then PAY me lije an Assistant Manager :headache:
What??? Pay you to be Assistant Manager when they can get you to do the work for your current pay???

I feel your pain. :headache:

The Valentine party with the girls was a huge hit last night. We got a dusting of snow last night :headache: I was really hoping to stay in that 40 degree range for the rest of winter.
No, we need cold weather and more snow. Gotta have some cold weather every year, whether we get snow or not, but I've got a big hill that I need some more snow on to use.

Way to go! You went above and beyond expectations. Congratulations on setting the bar higher for the future! :thumbsup2 :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

You like Bacon?

If so, you're in. :thumbsup2

Well...2 kids...2 different appointments...3 surgical procedures for the future.

DS12 finally got his 2nd set of Braces...soooo...with his life-time maximum for ortho was wiped out with set #1...set #2 is all on us...not that the insurance helped much with the 1st set. Then he has 1 tooth that requires a procedure to get it to come down (1)...plus he will need his wisdom teeth cut out at some point (2). Poor kid...he's gonna hate dentist for the rest of his life...well more so than most people.

DS17 has cronic sinus infections...he had a several tests done for allergies... immune system...etc... all check out OK....well now we need to see an ENT doctor for a surgical consult (3)....well at least my medical insurance will cover most of this one.

So...Monday the 13th was momentus for us.

Sounds good to me! Welcome to the club!

When are you going in August? We'll be there the 19-29th at the Boardwalk.

Excellent hope this holds out until next week! (although I doubt it will....)

Yes! Don (Emma's Dad) will be along to give you a number (unless someone goes on a posting tear and this gets lost in the shuffle). Also, feel free to join us on facebook and at dis dads dot com. Because of site rules, discussions sometimes occur in multiple locations...

Oh, and guys.
