BIL lives in Mount Pleasant. Wife's good friend teaches at Wando (who I saw was in the news for all the wrong reasons recently).

Wait...what's that about Wando? I'm a Wando Grad. Where in Mt. P does he live?

I will be there sometime between July 14-21 (don't know what day yet). I'll have the family with me, so the adult beverages could be a little tough. But I'll know more as we plan the trip.

FED: We're heading to WDW immediately after SC on Saturday the 21st, so we should be driving right by you. I'll PM you--would love to meet up!

Lemme know:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear that. Good Christmas Story reference.

:headache: Sorry for your luck this morning. Glad nothing major happened when it blew!

Thanks for the concern everyone…
And there’s always room for a good Christmas Story reference.

...only I didn't say fudge.

Sorry for the headache. I'd probably be saying something like, "Aw, darn...now I can't go to work." :rolleyes1

Yah… I didn’t say Fudge either.
Actually I ended up taking the whole day off to fix this and a few other things while I was at it.

Bummer on the flat. At least it's not 10° out when you have to change it. Not like I have any experience with that...:rolleyes1

Ain’t buyin’ it… The Minivan of Doom doesn’t get flat tires, now does it?

SUCCESS!!!! :thumbsup2

Just kidding... sorry. That's never fun. At least you're getting some time away from the office.:confused3

I should have known…

Bought this van used very recently so this was an excuse to bust into it and figure out all the tricks and quirks of dealing with it. Learned right off that the original owner had lost the lug wrench and replaced it with a random one which did not fit the lugs on the van (either that or Andy snuck down here and did it as part of his cleaver plan). DW was still home though and her car is by the same maker, so I just grabbed the tools out of here car. Now I need to find a used set for this one before I consider traveling any distance.

I think his street is Gray Battery Rd. Right off the IOP.

I might be getting the schools mixed up but Wando was definitely one of them. They beat their bitter rival, at the rival's school. Some of the players "Tebowed" afterward and got the snot kicked out of them in the parking lot after the game. Wando may have been the agressor, but I don't think so.

Cool! I'm hoping to spend some time at Patriots Point this coming July.

Let me know if you need any recommendations/ideas! Maybe we could partake in an adult beverage also :yay:

Whoa!!

Since Charleston is home (well, technically Mount Pleasant), when in July are you going down? Maybe I can show up too:confused3;)

If y’all are going to make a major effort at getting that many folks together at the same time… I may need to make a major effort to be down that way as well. :thumbsup2

From where I am, about 20 hours.

I am thinking of driving around 11+ hours to Mobile, AL area the first day, then finish the drive (about 9 hours) the second day. But if airfares go back down I will jump on the flight.

wow, that is a haul. ours is only 16-17 hours. 3 more hours dont sound like alot but it is. i was just wondering how far it was for you. :thumbsup2

STOPHER, great pics!!

Ahh....after the West Ashley (which didn't exist when I was growing up) basketball game...the Wando students were victims...

But then, they probably deserved it:lmao::lmao:

I'm going to open a twitter account called banjimirsayfromtwitter. :sad2:

I'm not sold on him...

If this thing ends between the Colts and Manning in the manner that it looks like it will, I might just have to follow him to his new team. I understand that the Colts need to make some changes, and I'm all for shaking things up and bringing in new blood. I've been pushing for this to happen for a while.

What I don't like, is how Jim Irsay is going about it. He's essentially saying one thing and then doing the complete opposite. Peyton says that everyone with the Colts is on edge. Irsay argues that they aren't... well how could your employees not be on edge, when publically you seem to be giving an endorsement to someone and 2 days later they're gone? :confused3

Seriously, Jim, stay off twitter. If you want to can everybody and start over, just say it and do it. Quit saying one thing and doing another.

SUCCESS!!!! :thumbsup2

Can you get that account set up today? :confused3

:lmao: you should be ok christian. if not, just bring a note!! "signed, epstiens mother" :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I loved that show :thumbsup2

I think Manning leaves, but I don't think he ends up in Miami. The new Miami HC wants the backup QB he's been working with in Green Bay, Flynn and Flynn's a free agent. While both Flynn and Manning will be expensive, neither is a particularly sure thing. Manning's health has to be a constant question at this point, and Flynn has only played a couple of real games. But if you're going to invest in an unknown quantity, it seems to make more sense to do it with the one who's going to give you the best chance to amortize the investment.

I think Irsay should pay him a little more than the $28 million on the condition he retires, immediatley. Irsay can afford it and then he and Manning both win in the fans eyes.

OK guys...

Have any of you ever used the Grocery delivery services to deliver any alcohol to you?

Just thought it might be nice to have a bottle of scotch to share in the evenings when we're back to our room as a nightcap.

Second page in a row ownage!

For nemesis's we have a lot in common.

I don't know if you can get alcohol delivered from grocery gateway, but I admire your determination and attempt. :thumbsup2

Is it a GM product? They might not have lost the wrench. I broke the wrench that came with my 1993 chevy truck. I've also broken a jack on a 2003 Silverado I used to own. They're basically "use it once and throw it away" tools. Get a cheap hydraulic jack and a universal lug wrench somewhere and you'll be better off. :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Twitter is blocked here.

I like Jim Irsay, he tries to put a winning team on the field and he's done great things for the community... but the man is starting to get on my nerves. :lmao::rotfl2:

I think the drive to Orlando will be a blast, the drive home, not so much.:sad2:

I like him as well. He thinks outside of the box. Peyton needs to shut his pie hole as well. He did get $26 million without disclosing that his neck was still messed up.

The most awesome nickname of crash is already taken.

By who I wonder?

I thought about calling her crash when I met her at the half-marathon, but thought she may be sensitive about it. But yes, great nickname.

You would have gotten away with it but she would have elbowed me in the gut when no one was looking. Are you running next year?

Accidental Crash ownage

I'd like to run, but it will be tricky. If I do, I'd go down just for the race and come home. I had a lot of fun, but having gotten the experience there's so much I would do differently. I ate at 2:15 and not again until after the race, wouldn't run with a camera again, wouldn't stress about transportation, hopefully wouldn't be sick (still coughing by the way), etc. If I do, I'll definitely let you know. I'm not ready to accept that an 18-yr old girl who just started running could beat me. Although at our respective ages, the improvements she could make in a year are greater than the improvements I could make.:rotfl:

There are other races there throughout the year I'd like to try but I haven't made any plans.

Not sure Peyton knew any more about the severity of his neck than the Colts medical staff did though... :confused3

And wasn't it Irsay who made the big stink about needing to pay Peyton more than Brady, even though Manning wasn't make a stink about it? Seems like Irsay now is trying to create a rift so that he can dump Peyton and go with Luck without too much fan backlash. Not saying it's a bad football move, but Peyton did turn that franchise totally around.

I just pray he stays outside of the AFC East... :scared1:
