Yeah. Probably going to end Crosby's career sooner than later.

Ended the Lindros' brothers careers.

Funny true story. A friend of mine was a great player in high school and an 8th or 9th round draft pick but never made it to the NHL. He played in the OHL after he was drafted. He was about 6' 2" 220. I saw him years later at a party and I asked him when he knew he wasn't going to make it to the NHL. His response, "When Eric Lindros knocked me out with one punch."

:lmao:

I miss watching Lindros play. It's a shame the concussions ended his career before he reached his potential. Well, that and the blood feud between his parents and Bobby Clarke.

I meant to share this yesterday....

As most of you know, my next trip to WDW is in 67 days. And we are keeping it a secret from our girls and surprising them once we land at MCO and get on Magical Express.

Well, two nights ago, as I was putting DD4 to bed, my DD was asking where she was going in the morning. This is my daughter that has to always have a schedule and know what's going on when.

So I told her that she was going to her Grandma and Grandpa's house while we went to work. Then she says "And Tuesday and Thursday, I go to school"

"Yes, that's right"

"And Saturday is Baby Kate's Birthday party"

"Yes, that's right"

then she says...

"So, how many days until we go to Walt Disney World??"

:scared1:

so I responded....

"Um, who said we were going to Walt Disney World....we're not going, but we'll go someday again"

she says...

"Dad, I know we're going - you silly!"

:scared1:

Maybe it's all the hush hush talk my DW and I have been doing, the talking in code and abbreviations....maybe it's all of the disney characters she sees when I'm on the DIS at home...I don't know.

But now I don't know whether to keep on keeping her out of the loop and still try to surprise her or what!

Darn intuitive 4 year old Daughter!

Always a good feeling when you can put a ticker in your signature. :rolleyes1
Looking good!!!! :thumbsup2

that's nice
Exactly!

Very nice! :thumbsup2

It looks so good on you too. Doesn't make you look fat or anything. :rotfl:
Now, now Christopher. You are going to make Mark subconscious of his body.:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Okay, Girl Scout Cookie Season started yesterday...I have each of you down for one box of thin mints!!!!:rotfl:
I love how they give you 60 spots to fill in your orders. Plus, you only have to sell 1600 boxes to get a tablet. :woohoo:

Hello everyone. I was told this thread is the place to be. Thanks for having me. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.
Welcome!!!!! :wave2:

All this talk about dentists. Due to stupid decisions from high school until recently, I sat in a dentist's chair at least once a week from Oct. '10- about March '11. Had an emergency root pulling (the rest of the tooth was already gone), emergency front teeth capping (due to a trip to the asphalt), about 5 or 6 crowns, probably just as many root canals, and a couple gold fillings. All said and done, the grand total for those visits came to about $2500. The only thing my insurance paid for was the front teeth capping (since I fell at work, chasing after some hooligan students).
$2500 for all that work... sounds like a deal!

I broke her!!! That's right DW could not fight it anymore and gave in to my need to go to WDW! Flight is booked, DVC points used, we are leaving in about 2 weeks!
NICE!!!! Have fun Christian!

Ummm you might want to refer back to the post earlier about as a married guy arguing with the only person that you can get "some" from. I'm pretty sure waterboarding = arguing = not gonna get any, anytime soon.
Do I need to illustrate that with smilies again? :confused3

Morning all!

I debated which thread to drop this in, but figured I'd put it here. Its a pretty inspirational video of a guy with Cerebral Palsy running the Marathon at Disney this year.

Jordan Flores Ownage

Great stuff! I saw a blind runner this year, he ran arm in arm with another person; It was incredible.

Haha! My DD4 crawled into my bed this morning and started peppering me with questions about when we were going back too! She was trying to negotiate with me. I told her someday, she countered with 2 days, and back and forth we went for good 5 minutes... kids!

Wait until she grows up to say, oh I don't know, 7, and she can read the speed limit signs and the speedometer. And loves to remind you that you're speeding. Finally, I said - or would hypothetically say, I mean - "If you want to remind me that I'm speeding, that's fine. But you need to do the subtraction and tell be by how much I'm speeding. I still get reminded, but at least she gets math practice.

Negotiating children are relentless. It's like playing tennis vs. a wall.

Oh don't I wish....I have a solution though...my truck is being retrofitted to these specifications:

That looks like a lot of extra metal, meaning extra weight, on what appears to be a Ram. I'd give the transmission about 5,000 miles. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Isn't it amazing what they can pick up on sometimes? Tough call. You hate to lie to her if she really did figure it out, but how do you know if she really has figured it out. :confused3

Well, it could be light-weight carbon fiber. In which case you'll probably get 6,500 miles out of that tranny.

Good luck :thumbsup2

Interesting, now where did I put my big bucket :lmao:

Morning CJ and gang. Sorry I have not been on as much. Very busy time at work.
Good Morning

Good morning all!

Have no fear, SUPER BACON IS HERE!

Is there kind of bacon that's not super?

We used to have Bacon and Waffle days in our old office. We haven't done one since we started the new company. Yesterday someone came and asked me about it so we'll be doing one next week. Hurray for Bacon and waffles.

Wow! kids are perceptive. I think you need to come up with a test to determine if she really knows.

Is it Friday yet? :headache:
No but at the rate the DIS is loading it could take till Friday for this post to show up.

Morning all!

Great stuff! I saw a blind runner this year, he ran arm in arm with another person; It was incredible.
I didn't see the blind runner. I did see the double amputee that had both legs amputated beneath the knee. He was on the side of the road and was adjusting both legs.

Took me three tries to get logged in. Kept getting this message, "The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later."

I think the Overtakers are messing with them. :rolleyes1

I saw a blind power-walker and her guide. Good to see that. Sad thing is that I didn't catch her until mile 10.

Hmmm... maybe she has a platypus doing some sneaking around...

She broke the code! Time to lose the Cracker Jack ring and move up to 128-bit encryption.

I think, in talking with my DW, we're going to still try and surprise them. I've been torn though. I really would like to start showing her POV youtube videos of some of the attractions she'll be tall enough to ride this year.

I think it would be very beneficial to her because she's kind of the nervous type when it comes to rides. Once she's on them, she enjoys them. It's just getting her to agree to go on.

Atleast I hope she's 40 inches by the end of March. :wizard:

Maybe my tag should be changed to 'Maybe the DIS is slowing down because of this thread'? :confused3:confused3
It was kind of fast for a little while this morning. I logged on and caught up with all the TR's I follow and caught up here before it slowed to a crawl. I must have bogged it down with my TR update. :lmao::rotfl:
