Okay, I'm looking for the transcript of Obama's speech today. So far all I can find is the summary. It looks like he went to Disneyworld to tell Chinese and Brazilian tourists that the US was open for business. I can't decide whether closing one of the biggest touring destinations in the country in order to promote that America is open for tourism, or explicitly reaching out to Brazil from Disney as if its something they're unaware of it funnier.

speaking of Beverly...

just got the mail and there was a letter from Chase. They've decided to close my Disney Rewards account.

Really? Did they give you a reason? I've always known Chase as a company who loves taking people's hard earned cash... :confused3

If I had to guess I'd say they probably did it because he doesn't carry a balance. I've seen that happening more and more often. They decide that since he pays his bill in full, on time, they don't make enough money off of him, so they cancel the card.

Evening guys. Presentation went well. Just got home and getting ready to watch Moneyball and then do the podcast later :thumbsup2

That sounds all good unless....

Soon after

Before long he'll be

Although you'll be

If that is the reason, that is TOTAL Peanut Butterin' Beverly.

They are saying "The only way we will do business with you, is if you carry debt".

We received the first of many yet to come college brochures in the mail today. :scared1:

Fun stuff. And oh yeah, those tuition bills... However we are fortunately blessed in that that's been taken care of for us. Awful as last year was, there was definitely a silver lining to that cloud as FIL set aside for all 7 of his grandchildren in that regard, separate trust funds for all, with enough for each for 4 years at the school of their choice. For all of the woes I endured through those years with his strong, sometimes overbearing ways, I very much appreciate what he did to leave a positive legacy for the family, and for providing this wonderful inheritance for them. DW is working through all of the logistics with the tax attorneys, financial planners and the like, and it has been a bit frustrating, but everything should be transferred properly by May or June. What he left for us will take a little longer, but that's okay - I'm not complaining.

Awesome. Makes it easier to save for retirement.

Very interesting...

So maybe the Beverly gets its taste from beaver stream water? :confused3:confused3
MMMM beaver water.

Any dads out there who fear they may lose their disney rewards card please pay attention.

I will take a bullet for you, yes you can book a trip for me and the family. I just don't want to hear anymore of these horror stories of loosing cards from lack of use.

Was it the rewards point card or the visa card?

Whoa…

3600? I thought we were talking about 12 to 15K or better.
Now I have some thinking to do.

And some research as well.

12 to 15k is about the minimum buy in if you are buying in through Disney direct. Its about 12k at AKV and 14K with discounts for BLT.

There aren't many contracts for sale in the 3k range but there are some. There are a fair number that are 6500 and below though.

There are other stores than TSS, but I have only worked with them. You can email TSS and get added to an email distribution list of new properties before posting to website.

already got a response from someone offering me a baby gate, just need to arrange pickup. :thumbsup2!

Waiting for DW's Iphone 4S to arrive.

Congrats on babygate and iPhone. Will you inherit her older iPhone?

I have a Disney Visa and never had financing charges as I pay off balance each month. But, I guess since there are new charges, they don't drop me. My Rewards card has expired before I could transfer new points to it once.

Same here. Had it since it came out in 2001 or so, and haven't ever paid them any interest. That's why I was surprised they would cancel a customer...

Wow...very quiet around here right now...

That is AWESOME! What an important and thoughtful thing to do for his Grandkids! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

How far are you driving? Hertz does unlimited mileage and enterprise usually only lets you go a state away. We're renting a van for our march trip here and driving down and I'm favoring Hertz due to the mileage factor.

Roughly about 750 miles round trip. Normally, it's only a 6 mile trip, but we would have to travel down to Green Bay to pick up the vehicle. We're only going to just inside the MN border, but we have to go across the widest part of WI....
