First of all… “gentlemen”? Us?
Secondly… I do believe (depending on your particular work schedule) that the other two words in that sentence may be oxymoronic (or at least diametrically opposed).

Morning Dads,

Got only two hours of sleep last night. The reason? In a couple of weeks I am going to Roatan with a few friends to do some diving and playing. Found out the hotel the travel agent booked wasn't booked. Some guy ran away with the deposit. We SUPPOSEDLY have rooms at their sister resort. Have a feeling I may be sleeping on the beach. Hope it doesn't rain.

The trip is looking more and more like Survivor Roatan.

Despite excellent reading skills and rather advanced cooking skills for a nine-year-old, The Bug employed neither, and put the microwave Mac & Cheese container in the microwave and turned it on, without adding any water to the bowl.

She was just conducting an experiment in organic chemistry…

No... I was kind of in shock. And I was holding a sleeping kid. It was funny how the church went from silence to people talking as the groomsmen walked out and a dog was with them.

So who was the maid/matron of honor?

There were actually 2. Both wer the bride's younger sisters. I really felt sorry for the one who had to walk the dog.

Ummmm.... ok. Unfortunately, I've seen that before.

I can only imagine some of the things you've probably seen. I'm sure you could tell some pretty good stories.

One of DW's friend's husbands and I were talking at the reception. We both mentioned the fact that we hate going to weddings where you barely know the bride and groom. We then agreed it would be pretty cool if our wives would drag us to a wedding for people we barely know and somebody gets up there and then backs out... just to see how awkward it really gets. We wouldn't want it to happen to a friend or anyone we really know... but it would be interesting to see.

Page 23 already? The DIS Dads have truly become a 24/7 organization.

Can't afford to take a weekend off anymore.

I'm sitting here at work trying make my knee bend and straighten this morning.

I was thinking about quitting my twice a week basketball habit. The first few times I played this year, I kept getting hurt and didn't play well. The last 2 times I played, I've shot the ball well, and actually been keeping up with the just out of high school guys. Those nights are almost rougher than the ones where I tweak an ankle or play like crap, because I don't remember that I'm 30 now until the next morning.

I have what I call "The Idiot Rule". The Idiot Rule pretty much says that I don't let idiots work on my stuff..."idiots' mainly defined as me.

I have found it to be easier, and in the end cheaper, to pay someone to fix my problem. As opposed to paying someone to fix the original problem and then paying them to fix all the other stuff I screwed up trying to fix it myself.

I absolute REFUSE to touch my boat motor--that's what master mechanics are for.

I like that rule!

Have seen the current WDW commercial airing on ABC about 300 times over the past week. Not sure if the commercial is making me like the One Republic song more, or if the song is making me enjoy the commercial, but either way, well played Disney Marketing team. Well played.

When I'm able to I play in a 30 and over league. Sometimes a few 'kids' come and play and I realize how bad I have gotten- ie. getting older & not playing everyday like I did when I was a kid.

Morning All. I get to work today too. I'm moving a little slow this morning I stayed up way too late last night reading a book called Kisses from Katie. DW gave it to me to read and I wound up readin g the whole thing yesterday.

Disney's promotional video claims that you could spend a whole year there without seeing everything they have to offer... That may be stretching it... But the answer surely lies somewhere between there and 9 days...

When we were prepping for the non-park attraction podcast I started making a spreadsheet of things you could do at the resorts. I think at just the PO resorts there were about 15 things and that didn't cover all the things like the running trails and all the different kids activities in the resorts. A year might be pushing it but I think it would easily cover 6-9 months worth of stuff.

DW and I just commented that even with all the trips that we have done there is still so-much that we need to see n do. My DD's have so many things to see still that another 9days does not seem enough.

Might not be enough, but it sounds like a great start/continuation.

Paul or Anyone that's tried to stay in BLT during marathon weekend: How far in advance do you need to book it in order to get a studio for that weekend? I was curious cause you were at AK this MW and so I wasn't sure if that was by choice or if you couldn't get into BLT.

Yeah but that just means one of us is going to be responsible for dealing with the latency. While there are things you can do to decrease the page size and clean up the code to decrease load on the servers and response time one of the big ways to improve performance is with $. More servers, faster CDN or a CDN in general etc, faster DNS service...all these things will speed a website up, but they all cost money.
