Wow - slow DIS again today.

I saw this image while surfing through some DISigners images....

SmallWorldBlank.jpg

Thought it was appropriate.

Anyone else have any T-shirt Ideas?

Last year we did Mickey Heads with our names and a character, and then a big picture of all of our party's mickey heads for the back of our shirts.

Anyone have a favorite DISigner?

Just catching up on the ENTIRE day nemesis... but remind me in a couple days to show you ours.

We did (I think) 4 days of printed shirt from the DISigners.

Just don't have the time to go through them now.

Well isn't that funny. I just got a warning for political infractions for suggesting how upset i would be if my trip to MK tomorrow was messed up due to the campaign stop by the president. Touchy folks around here.

::yes:: even us dad's aren't immune to rules.

We learnt that the hard way.

I don't know there are some good ones, or should I say bad ones.

1. Ray Lewis went out to celebrate and his friend shot someone.

2. Stanley Wilson (1989) - "the Cincinnati Bengal tailback who
overdosed on drugs the night before the biggest game of his life and
missed Super Bowl XXIII." They found him in the
bathroom of his hotel room on the morning of Super Sunday. He
was completely coked out, in no condition to play.

3. Eugene Robinson, almost missed Super Bowl XXXIII after being arrested the night before on a sex solicitation charge.

4. Raider Barret Robbins suffered a mental breakdown and went AWOL before the 2003 Super Bowl -- going on a Tijuana drinking binge that left him tearfully talking of suicide.

You can't talk about Eugene Robinson without mentioning that 2 weeks before that he won the NFL's Bart Starr award for high moral character! :rotfl2:

Where might I be able to find a list of dates for past Disney marathon weekends? Also, I realize it's way too early and it would only be speculation, but when do you think the marathon weekend would be in 2014?

Well, this is purely speculation, but given that January starts even later in the week in 2014 than is does in 2013, I have to think it will be the second weekend in January (there's already a lot of speculation that the 2013 marathon weekend will be the second weekend in January, because New Year's Day falls on a Tuesday).

mark last night down in history!!!! for the first time, my wife tammy, has made an adr!!!!!
heres the conversation:
tammy- oh, since we are at the poly this trip, kona cafe looks good. did you read the menu?
david- i already made the adrs for the trip, printed the confirmations, entered them in my phone ap. if you want anything else done, do it yourself.
i hate having conversations, makeing a plan, than changing it.
(thinking she wont do it.)
tammy - heres our conf. number, where do you want it.
:lmao:

What app do you use?

Are you so sure Andy? Hmmm? I think there are a few on here who might differ in their thinking :confused3 I cannot say for certain. But perhaps if we give pause and think of the black hole that a few pages and posts disappeared into, you might just happen to concur. And even if you don't - I'll just change the subject this way

Thanks stopher, now I'll need a new keyboard after drooling over that picture on this one :rotfl2:

CBR v POP. Thoughts

IMHO, the rest of the moderate resorts at Walt Disney World are in the process of leaving CBR behind (at least until CBR gets its next major refurb). The Port Orleans resorts (in most rooms - the refurb isn't quite done yet) and Coronado Springs have queen-sized beds. Only CBR still has full-sized beds.

For me, the additional theming and amenities at CBR aren't enough to justify the price difference between CBR and POP, since they have the same size beds.

House of Blues was added to the Dining Plan at the same time that T-Rex was, but it got a slight name change - it's now called Crossroads at the House of Blues (it got a new "Crossroads" menu, created by celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez). I don't think you can use Disney gift cards at any of those restaurants. Your best chance would be Teppen Edo. The others are definitely owned by 3rd parties, so they almost certainly won't take Disney Gift Cards. BUT, House of Blues does still honor the gift certificates that they sell/sold at Restaurant.com ($25 off), usually at a substantial discount. If you need/want one, let me know. I'll check and see if I still have a "spare" in my stash of unused cheap restaurant.com gift certificates.

Thanks for the offer AJ, I did purchase one last year from Restaurants.com on sale for like 2 bucks, my wife shook her head at the time but I like the sure thing for future use, now that it is getting closer she says that was a good move, I also got one for Schula's:thumbsup2

CBR v POP. Thoughts

I had a very bad experience ant CBR. Very dirty room, (Haunted mansion sized cob webs) phone broken, door card lock broken, paid for water veiw was given standard. They sent engineers to fix things they came left and it still didn't work. I'm sure it was an isolated incident but I'm not going back there.:sad2:

:lmao:
heres a bag with barry name on it, it says from tim,:lmao: im not opening that up. :rotfl2:
Dave, how did you end up with that? Do yourself a favor- put that bag in a doubled plastic bag, add a little bleach, and place it in the back of your pickup. Tomorrow morning drive directly to the landfill. Do NOT stop to talk to anybody. :sad2:

... but remind me in a couple days to show you ours.
No MISQUOTE needed. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1 popcorn::

Which version is that? Complete Saga?

TL

Yes, the complete saga. But those characters are fairly expensive!

After weeding through 10 pages of sports trash talk, I was happy to find something nerdy I could comment on! :thumbsup2:

Have a great night guys! Crazy busy at work (administratively, fortunately not too bad clinically), so haven't been around too much.

Anybody catch the Princess Bride/LOTR Phineas & Ferb? Some nice shout outs to the movies & the books (which my kids caught too!)

You had Drew Brees and Marty and you were knocking on the door. Don't fix what's not broken.

Exactly!!!

Yet owner Spanos used this argument to keep Turner...and GM A.J. Smith.

Peanut Butterin' Beverly Nescafe!!!

Oh, and the race for ownage has gotten pretty intense, huh?

Hey! Long time no see. :thumbsup2

My DS in 5months old right now. He is very mellow and carefree. I could see spending a week with him in WDW but with a different touring schedule than we normally do. I think if you go at a slower pace and take breaks it is doable. With that being said, my DW said when she was pregnant there was no way we are doing Disney with a newborn.(we normally go in March) We are flying to Florida to spend time with DWs grandfather over Easter. I'll let you know how that goes.

I'm sure it will be nice :lmao:
