Sweet!!! :cool1: which island(s) We went a couple of years ago, and started missing it as soon as I got home.

Going to the Big Island to go diving for three days at Kona. Also going to see the volcanoes. From there it is a week at Aluani on Oahu.

It was too hot on the golf course yesterday.

Then again, I suck, so any discomfort is multiplied when you can hit any fairway but the one you're aiming for. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Been there. Many times. Either that or the sand traps or water. S. Florida courses love water. At least a lot of them have beer trucks running around so we can have something to hydrate while taking the pain away from lousy shots.

We leave for WDW by 11:00am tomorrow and don't have nearly everything done. I know it will all get done but I also need to sleep.

The course I played on yesterday likes trees... lots and lots of trees. One of the guys I was playing with went on a rant about how they just had to have 500 skinny little pain in the --- trees instead of just having one or 2 big full trees to hit around on the doglegs. On the third hole, I think all of us bounced a ball of at least one tree. Saw a few nice "you could never do that again if you tried" ricochet shots too.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Well as long as it's on *A* fairway, what's the problem?:lmao:

The only way I put it in the middle of the fairway is if you put a big tree there :lmao:

Who did they actually ban though? Was it Evan and Scotty or Mark and Barry? :confused3
My lawyer has instructed me not to answer.

Imagine the wives and even the kids shaking their heads and averting their eyes.
You sure you don't have spies? That's a pretty typical day around my house.

Sleep is for after you get back! Have a great trip!

Even worse than trees - tall grass. I've played a few courses were you just miss the fairway by a foot or two but that kneed high grass swallows your ball . Laughing at you the whole time you're walking around in there looking for it.

Been there done that. I'm at the point now that I will only give my hard earned money to golf pros who actually put it to use and pay their grounds keepers to mow the whole course.

If you lived at Golden Oak, Monday's never happen. It is the same law that it never rains or too cold or too hot on the golf course.

I get the sentiment. But, if there were no Monday, once you hit Sunday, you would be dead or Mayans ended the world. So, I'll take Mondays over the contrary.

A target. I have a great slice and better hook. Problem is I don't know what shot they will appear.

One of those Mondays. I received a four page email with 1 assignment. Yet, after reading it, I still am not sure what the assignment is. I emailed and asked if I could call and ask some questions to clarify. 4 hours later - no response to email.

After a response to the email, waited 2 hours for phone clarification. After phone call, decision was made to have phone conference tomorrow to answer questions. Monday again?

Well, it was a good weekend. DW's studio had their dance recital and it went off without a hitch. DD6 did very well in her 3 dances and since I was in charge of keeping DD1 occupied I did not have to be an usher. This year seemed extra taxing on DW so it is a relief to have the 2 month summer break. I'm not going to lie, I relish this time of year both for the weather and the fact that we can do normal family type activities on weeknights rather than trying to cram everything in to the weekends.
.

I'll let you know in a 45 days. Soccer & dance became softball - 2 games and 2 practices a week minimum for 1.5 hours each. I'll get one normal weekend before school starts.

We leave for WDW by 11:00am tomorrow and don't have nearly everything done. I know it will all get done but I also need to sleep.

Have a great trip. Gone yet?

That sounded like our practice soccer fields last season. It was easy to teach them footwork skills since the ball stopped rolling.

Well I am trying to survive this week so that I can drag myself onto the Disney Fantasy for a week!! This past weekend I was on call and ended up with 33 hours of OT on Saturday and Sunday...I am on call again Tuesday and Wednesday Uuughh!

"You can DO IT!" [said as Rob Schneider in any Adam Sandler movie]

Andy - I'm right there with you on the whole frustrated with golf thing.

Last week I shoot a 40 on the back nine of the course that I play in my Monday night league. That's the best I've ever shot on that nine!

This week, we play the front (the easier of the 2 nine's) that I typically shoot low 40's.

I shot a friggin' 50! :headache:

Needless to say I'm glad I'm on vacation next week and not playing on Monday - I need a break!

If I could play on a course with a large cliff wall along the right side of the fairway, I'd be in great shape.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Been missing in action for a bit...

Everyone going on Vacation next week... I am very Jealous... but I still wish (most of) you an AWESOME vacation....

Randall.... sorry to hear about your kitty... :grouphug:

I was having a Peanut Butter of morning. Around 2 years ago, there were 5 people in my group sharing the workload. Over time, 2 of them left and were never replaced so it was 3 of us sharing the load of 5. This week one is on vacation leaving 2 of us.

So I decided to fight fire with fire. (No, I didn't burn the building down - but the thought did cross my mind.) Actually, fight Peanut Butter with Peanut Butter. As I microwaved a leftover hamburger from last night's dinner, I decided to forgo the ketchup and mustard and top it with Peanut Butter. (no, real peanut butter - not that stuff that we mean when we say "peanut butter" to keep ourselves from getting kicked off the DIS).

And all of a sudden, I'm feeling better. At least until I decided to get back to work. Thanks for reading my vent.

And as per usual, I don't remember why i was multi-quoting this...
Oh, but, something funny from yesterday.

DW went to the grocery store, the day after we got back from WDW.
She said, "And the grocery trip, that will last us 2 weeks, cost the same as Chef Mickey's. Just putting things in perspective."

Seems like something worth sharing.

A vacation from playing golf. Jealous.

Evening meeting done for tonight. One more tomorrow night and a breakfast meeting on Thursday two hours away. Long days this week. Jealous of you guys on the golf course. The last time I hit a ball was my wedding day when I went to the range. After that I no longer had time or money. :confused3
