So, on an actual Disney idea for the day, listening to all this D-Cot is making me home sick (my real home in Disney World). A Value Resort for August 1 thru 4 with a 4 day ticket is $1415. That would be a 4-day ticket. I could drive all night the first night, and the last one, close down the parks and grab a holiday inn with some priority points and drive back Sunday. School starts for us that Wednesday (Aug 8). Ridiculous.

That is a short trip, but it would be a fun way to end the summer. I guess I'll sleep on it. Good night all.

Secret Wars was a terrific series. I liked the Maximum Carnage series that spun off venom, but Secret Wars was still better. I know it won't happen, not only for all those legal restrictions above, but it would just be too much screen time. Sure, even if they eliminated some of the introductory transportation and Beyonder story, they have to share screen time with all those characters and villians. It took 2.25 hours for Avengers and it is doubtful they could include that many other characters. Still, it would be interesting to see. I'm sure they could do an abbreviated version by taking the Avengers and a few others although I'm not sure it would be as good.

My brother and I discussed this very thing after seeing Avengers, debating who/what could appear in it, it'd be a challenge. (My brother doesn't care, as long as it has She-Hulk ) I think it'd could only work if Disney could gett all the franchises under one umbrella again and work it that way.

Good Morning dads. Good in the sense that I'm on the green side of the sod and have a job. Beyond that not so much. Not sure why everything waits until my research assistant goes on vacation to fall apart. If I was officially a plumber and electrician I could get paid a lot more than I do and live anywhere. Instead I get to try to piece things together as best I can and live here.

The school year used to start earlier in August for us as well. which I liked because it also meant that school was out in mid May and that made traveling to The World (and anywhere else) easier, cooler, less crowded and a good bit cheaper. But then our State Legislature got involved…

so much for that good thing.

For some reason DW would get upset with me when I'd pull into the parking lot with the windows down and that song blaring on the radio.

I understand playing hard but not playing to injure. Just stupid. Glad you got double play.

Yep... never been a problem other than just that one team. At least for us. Apparently a couple of other teams had some issues last season, so there's no more league.

Morning guys. Another rainy day here, but not too bad. Hopefully it clears up before the weekend.

You would think that as many police type shows are on tv that people would be smart and stop giving interviews to the police. Of course, Anthony was acquitted and we'll see what happens in the Zimmerman and Sandusky trials. My neighbor is one of our D.A.R.E. officers and when he asks me how I'm doing, I'll occasionally yell "talk to my lawyer" just to see if he's paying attention.

There's a psychological effect here...generally, bad guys can't stand it and just *have* to know what you know....of course, that's part of the gig, and part of the art--getting through to them and crushing them without them shutting down. It's a fascinating game, you'd be shocked if you heard some of the things I've heard in the box...google "Inside the mind of a Homicide Detective", Homicide Life on the Street
