Church league... we no longer have one of those.:sad2: They ended it after last year because it was just getting too ugly. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Played a few games in a church hockey league many moons ago; it was some of the dirtiest hockey I have ever seen.

I had a guy slide spikes knee high at third trying to take me out. Unfortunatley for him, he had shorts on and slid about three feet too short. :lmao:

I kneed a guy in the head a couple of years ago... I'd say I wasn't proud of it, but I kind of am. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

It was a team that was notorious for playing dirty, talking trash, arguing with the umps... and this was the semifinals in the tournament. The ump actually had to call the police to remove their manager after the game that day and they were banned from playing at the parks department in the future.

Anyway, I was playing short and we had a 3 or 4 run lead. There was a runner on first and a grounder was hit to second. I got the ball at 2B and there wasn't even a close play there, but the guy running from first was coming straight at me, standing tall with his hands in the air. I'm about 6'2", and he was kind of short, so I jumped to throw over the top of him, but he kept running through the base anyway and undercut me when I jumped. I came down on top of him with my knee in his ear. I'd like to say it didn't feel good when I hopped back up and he was rolling around in pain, but when I realized he was trying to hurt me when he undercut me, it felt kind of good.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

And yes, we got the double play.

How nice....an entire area dedicated to fathers who are obsessed with Disney.

I would classify myself as a Disney Dad....My wife and I were married at Disney (Disney Wedding Pavilion), all three of my children have had their 1st vacation at Disney (and each of their B-days). I have a Mickey Mouse tattoo, and watch Disney movies on a weekly (or more) basis. Nice to see so many dads with the same obsession.

George...not sure why I didn't include it...

Hi George!! Welcome to our little room on the interweb. You are member # 702! :thumbsup2

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

Our Adult soccer league is getting a bit out of hand around here. When it first started, it was just some older guys out having fun...now a bunch of younger dudes (from the high school) have come in and they're trying to make it the World Cup.

Unfortunately for them, the older dudes mostly played in college, and a few old professionals thrown in...and the younger dudes weren't that great of high school players--and they get their tails handed to them. They hate this of course, and youngsters being youngsters like to shoot their mouths off...so it's getting to where it's not a lot of fun..

Does anyone beside's me look to see who's birthday it is?

Is it important for any of US to see who's birthday it is?

:confused3
Can't say I look, but I'm glad you do! And on that note, Happy Birthday! You too Don!
I do look... I just depend on you to remind us. You are our Birthday ambassador.
::yes::

Awesome. We were taught to just make the throw and if we hit the runner, that's his problem. In high school we had a runner do what you described and our second baseman made the throw. Drilled him right between the eyes. Much blood. Very much blood. We did not turn the double play.

Well, today is my ADR day. I've been trying online since 6 am too book them. I have my resort confirmations and reservations tied into my online account, but when I try to book an ADR for one of the "+10" days, here is the message I get...

Please continue to search and book available dining locations online without associating your dining plan. We were unable to link your Resort reservation to dining reservations.

Note: For pre-paid locations (Cinderellas Royal Table, Disneys Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Mickeys Backyard BBQ) or if you are trying to book more than 180 days in advance, please call Disney Dining at (407) 939-3463.

We are only doing a few table service meals, but have QSDP for this trip. Is this a new thing that they've implemented now that they require a CC to hold some ADRs??? :confused3 Kind of a pain in the beverly, because I can't call until my lunch break, so hopefully I won't be put on hold for very long.

Having been forced to watch T-ball for 3 years now, I can forgive anyone for not quite paying attention. :rotfl2:
Coached the first tball game of the year on Saturday morning. In the 2nd inning several of the kids were complaining to me that they never get any balls hit to them. 2 batters later they're both digging holes in the dirt and a ball rolls right between them. :headache:

And yes, we got the double play.
And that's all that matters! :thumbsup2

Here Fishy Fishy Fishy!

OK.... who tricked everyone into thinking it's my birthday? :lmao:

Happy Birthday Don!

I thought this was a good response.....

.....until I read this one. I have to deduct a point for not actually saying it out loud, but this has to be one of the lines I've heard in a long time. Bravo Sir!

Why thank you.

At one point during the season I asked the kids if a pirate had buried treasure somewhere under the infield, what with all the digging they were doing.

Unexpected Disney surprises this weekend. First my cousin calls me and says she wants to take me up on my offer to run a Disney race with her. I never thought she'd go for it, but we're seriously thinking of meeting up for a few days and running the half marathon in January. She's really cool and I don't know if I'll get another chance to be at WDW with her. And no kids! Just me and one of my favorite cousins running around the parks for a few days!

Then yesterday DW says we should go to Florida to visit my parents during Christmas break. I was totally in for that, then as a kicker she says we should probably do a park for a day and check out the new fantasyland. Didn't see that coming. We don't get down there often enough (yet:rolleyes1) for an Annual Pass. So I'm considering a 10-day non-exp pass. I wish I had thought of this a week ago to avoid the price increase, but oh well. Not sure how to go about doing the math to see if I should get the 10-day pass, but I know a one-day pass for my family isn't very efficient.

By the way, any runners out there know how to get the Disney Visa discount for Run Disney events? Barry? I thought you posted about that a long time ago?

Happy Birthday Randall! And a very belated Happy Birthday Don. (See I was reading).

Sister-in-Law arrives tomorrow for the Graduation festivities. Cleaning the house time. I hate cleaning and the Pirate Princess really hates it. Tomorrow is her last day of High School and Graduation is Wednesday. Will bore you with pictures later.

Have to go get the vacuum out. What fun.
