Actually Randall, David did some scientific research for the rest of us.

Up until now 4:50 am on a Sunday was just a rumor.
He has confirmed it's existence.

Happy to do my part :thumbsup2

The world is not coming to an end....so go on over and check it out!

Thank you :thumbsup2

Thanks all. Just to rub a little more salt in it, apparently they did not pay their Internet bill so they are mooching over to my house on Monday to book their ADRs. Thankfully, I will be out of town and don't have to see it.

While he was a terribly spoiled child from what I was told (only male grandchild on both sides), fought over in divorce custody battle, and raised mostly by grandparents, he was MP in the Army for close to 10 years, after discharge, a prison guard, and now a police officer. I would think anyone of those position would teach someone about being responsibilities and consequences. But, apparently it has not. My FIL is not a bad guy, just a terrible father.

I feel bad that they treat DW this way, and when I suggest she stop or when I tell them off again at festivus again this year, she will be mad at me.

The pitfalls of trying to keep one's family together, for the sake of family. :sad2: I know this all to well. My Mom's side of the family is described at best, as disfunctional, no one would talk to one another now that survive. Heck, even Dad does not talk to his surviving sisters anymore and cut ties, alot have to do with jealousy etc.

Mom is really afraid of this happening to our own family, and is known to break down in tears because of this. But the reality is, my sister is a major pain-in-the-postierior, always demanding my parents to help her out etc, and alwys saying things like (well you do this for so-and-so) etc. Dad barely puts up with her and gets her pissed off so she won;t talk to him for days (fine by him) but will always go crawling back for more money etc.:sad2: My brother and I shake our heads. We still get together as a family now and then, usually birthdays/holidays, but not a the garunteed frequency we did before (for example, DW and I are the only ones who split time with both our families, my sister's in-laws are pretty much gone now, my brother's in-laws live in Illinois, kinda far, and they don't travel out to us as much because the autistic daughter doesn't adapt to being away long well) We keep things going the way it is, for my parents. Once they are gone though, as harsh as it seems, my brother and I will distance ourselves from our sister, for our sanity's sake. DW understands, and she has some similar aspects here with her own family, that her parents (and step father, an amazing guy himself) is what holds this side together. All I care about in the end, is my parents, DW's parents, and my two girls. (my brother too, we are close, but we understnad our roles as head of our families) (or in my case, figurehead, we know who the real power is :rotfl2:). This is how it will be, and we are fine with that.

Hope everything works out in the end for ya though, and that Kharma works out to your favour. we need some good things happening to good people.

That's what I did. I had my Beverly relatives who I just said I choose not to be around. If they are never a part of your life, you could not depend on them for anything, then why are you obligated to ruin your holidays with them? I would rather spend time with my friends, whom I choose to be with, but they are often with their family who they don't like. Why do we perpetuate this cycle? Back in the day, homes were build big enough for multiple generations to live together. They had to work and get along together. Since that practice stopped, it's time to stop the other. For those who have friendships with their family, I am envious.

My brother and I get along better now than we did growing up though we rarely see each other anymore. To many states in between. Only one nephew there and we haven't spoken to my wife's brother and family in a couple of years. Unfortunately my 2 will have to watch out for each other and will hopefully have some good friends growing up because they won't really know the aunts/uncles/cousins.

Quiet Sunday. I visited a new church while the family is out but it won't work for us so I can spare them the ordeal.

Trying to get some work done in the office but the sun is calling so I think I will go pull some leaves on the hops trial. We do that to increase air circulation because they are fairly susceptible to disease.

Back from Key Largo. The water was rough and conditions not close to ideal. There will be no underwater pictures not because I didn't dive (which I didn't) but because DD lost her camera underwater. Hope Ariel enjoys our $500 contribution to her treasure trove. Now have to replace it before the Hawaii trip. Still have a twin camera but since we both want to take pictures, I need to replace it. Time for an upgrade perhaps?

Because I did not dive, the kid that dared ask my little girl to the prom made it out of the water safely. Opportunity missed.

Rocking it out and dance recital. The older show was from 1 to 3. The next show is 4:30 to 6:30. Lots of little girls dancing. They also bring the high school girls to do a few of their routines so it is entertaining, but watching other's four year olds dance isn't. 2 more hours to go.

I did not have any siblings, but am close to a few cousins. One lives in town and is the closest thing I have to a brother. I am godfather to one of his children. We see each other quite often. Our kids play soccer together and get along well, and he and I had lunch yesterday while his children were with his ex and mine were at rehearsal. I've picked up his kids from school when he's had a work emergency. That's the way family should be.

Once you get those hops into some beer, let me know and I'll help you dispose of them.

Getting ready for the first softball game of the year. Let's hope the I only thing I pull is one out to right field :lmao:

Haven't played in years. Although, I usually drank beer while I played, so I stopped being asked to play. What a surprise!
