And here I thought going onto the night shift would be good this week. :sad2:...

Sorry guys, I needed to rant here (I've ranted alot lately, I know).

No need to apologize. Sorry you have to deal with this but sometimes it is better to vent to us than take it home.

Good morning guys :surfweb:

Two more days of work and then a four day weekend :woohoo:

Morning David!

Hey hardrock01!

What Randall said!

Well then we need to set up a disdads meet! We do have dole whips at the poly!

Sounds like a great idea, since we already set one up on the disdads facebook page :thumbsup2.

I just got contacts last week. Its a hard adjustment getting used to poking yourself in the eye to get them in and out, but after a week I'm pretty well used to them.

With 4 kids, I'm kind of used to getting poked in the eye.

But I've had them before, so I'm not too worried.

Off work today for the kids' school picnic. The good news is that I have the vacation time, the bad news is: Who does a school picnic on a Tuesday and *makes* the parents show? Yes, my DW and I can make it there, but what about the other working parents that can't? :confused3

Calling it a night. Tomorrow is the last day of strawberry picking for me. The heat really hurt them.
I picked 2 yesterday... they were delicious. My strawberry patch isn't looking too healthy though. I think my forgetting to cover it caused some natural thinning.:rolleyes1

Sorry; you put a few drops in your ear. You can also eat a glove of garlic to go along with it (I sometimes will head a tablespoon of minced garlic)
It also works well against vampire attacks.:thumbsup2

Sorry guys, I needed to rant here (I've ranted alot lately, I know).
It's alright, that's what this place is for. That's just a no-win situation.:headache:

Thanks

Alas, we are union, or else he'd have been canned YEARS ago. He is unliked by everyone in the store, but he and I butt heads more often because I'm the only one with backbone to stand up to it, aside the managers, whom he rarely ever works with. I could not fight back last night, because I could not prove they planned it, they both speak polish I think, and can't listen in on their conversation. Feels like a no-win situation, but the only real issue I have is that this will fester for the next week or so till the boss is back from his seminar, instead of dealt with immediately, unless the bigger boss stops by, but he's got other stuff on his plate too, and is a day-only guy, so not likely.

Part of the anger now more is that I'm targeted because everyone else just shakes their head, complains, but lets him get away with things, because no one wants to rock the boat. I have had his pay docked for leaving early and reprimanded him, and have reported the (LOT) of customer complaints against him. It's embarassing he is still employed.
I'm a believer that unions do have a place and can serve a positive role in the workplace, but when someone like that has job security because they're union, that is just a drain on the economy and gives union workers a bad name.

Thanks I think we will both live:thumbsup2, son got the laughing gas, cost a extra $50 but well worth it on the way home he said did we go to the dentist or did I dream it:lmao:, I was willing to pay another $50 for some for myself:rotfl2:

My ear only hurts if pressure is put on it like blowing nose or burping, luckily I caught it early and with the meds should be gone in a day or two:thumbsup2

Never had the gas. My dentist now rubs something on the gums and gives you a shot. I barely feel that. Then, after the shot, he give 1 or 2 more. I usually can't feel my face for 4 hours after an appointment.

And here I thought going onto the night shift would be good this week. :sad2:

Every little thing that could go wrong...did. Boss took some of my staff for the day shif, and "forgot" to call in the replacement he penciled in. :headache: A customer fell in the store, had to take care of that.

The topper was though, one of the staff we've had issues with, even to the point we came up with a plan to deal with him when it came up, completely blindsided me, by having a customer (we know they are friends) completely take me to task how we overwork him. I was speechless. Humiliated.

This guy does nothing but ONE job in the store, then complains he has to do it. Then has a customer tear a strip out of me, and plans to take it further up.

I can deal with co-workers, no probs, but I CANNOT WIN AGAINST CUSTOMERS. No way, I am getting railroaded.

Pretty much sat in the office the rest of the night. I Sent emails to the boss (not there the rest of the week) and the "bigger boss" explaning myself. I am done though. I have no spirit left to fight this beverly.

Sorry guys, I needed to rant here (I've ranted alot lately, I know).

NO need to apologize. Sounds like a rough one. Good luck.

Unions had a needed purpose in our nations history, and to a certain point, still do. Thankfully laws that regulate employers from working people to death for no money are in place. But, when it protects bad employees, they serve little purpose.

Garlic / Willow Bark Oil is what we use. Never Antibotics.

Do you use homemade stuff for everything? Just curious. I don't like going to the doctor (sorry docs) but was thankful for pain meds after last back pain.

Hey guys. Just checking in after dinner at Jikos. Weather sucks but dinner was excellent. Will try to catch up later.

What did you have? I had the oak filet, some cauliflower soup, and split a flatbread. Maybe mac and cheese side. Great restaurant.

Some prayers today guys. Youngest dd has dermatologist appointment and has a cist in arm. I thought today was a consult, but DW thinks they will cut it out. I told dd they were just going to look at her arm to make her less nervous. I better give her the news.

Even a rainy day at WDW is better than any place else! Hope the weather gets better!

Good luck. We'll be praying for you. I've had several cysts cut out, but all as an adult. I can only imagine what's going though the mind of a child...

Prayers Norm...having just experienced a few trips to the dermatologist myself and being sliced and diced, it's definitely no fun.

Hope all goes well today....thinking of you and your DD. :worried:

Been there done that. You can tell her it really isn't that bad. :thumbsup2

Good luck to her.

Sounds like a tough situation. Sorry you're the one that has to deal with this guy. Karma has a funny way of working though, I'm sure he'll get his in time...

I'm in the group that's had some cut out too. I don't remember mine hurting that much. I might be prepared to think of ways to keep her focussing on you not them cutting it, if your in the room with her.

Got back from WDW last night. We had a blast. Noah and I placed 13th out of 180 mens teams in the everest challenge. The late night party was great, He's already talking about doing it again next year. We stayed at Dolphin and at AKL this trip. We were really impressed with both resorts.

Welcome back Ryan. Congrats on your finishing 13th! :thumbsup2
