Ever hear of this?

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Nope. 2nd Generation iPod Shuffle. No display, just a few buttons.

So in other words, you were downloading bootleg music files. :rolleyes1
I can neither confirm nor deny this. But I'm pretty sure the file that locked me up was one that I had ripped from CD years ago on a Windows machine.

Evening all...back home from a rather uneventfull night. Things are a lot calmer at night at any rate, I am in charge and keep things laid back.:thumbsup2.

Minor drama when one guy was almost $500 short, he was freaked. I kept a cool head about me and looked over everything and found it before he left for the night, an error caused by...the boss not knowing how to pay bills :sad2:. A couple of register entries later, all fixed. These things make me happy, showing with a cool head, logic, and observation, you fix things and not make 'em worse, not let the poor guy thinking he owes big-time.

Glad to see the cooler head did prevail!!

Morning all. Have to leave the derby behind and get ready for first communion today. No telling how many of the moochers we'll have show up knowing that we are providing free food. Yesterday, how many family members showed up at the derby party? That's right - none. I wish I could convert DW to seeing that friends and family members we actually interact with our more important than the other idiots we see 3 times a year and never communicate outside of that. It won't happen though. You all have a great day.

Congrats on the communion!!

Hey James! (baseballmickey )

Thanks, Randall!

Happy Birthday James!

Thanks, Brent!

Happy Birthday James. You won my drinking pool yesterday. The prize is that you get to age 1 year. Next drinking pool and prize to be determined later.

Wait, so instead of turning 38 yesterday, I am now 39!!

Thanks, Norm!

After Week 5, the standings in the DIS Dads Fantasy Baseball League are as follows:

Mickey W-L-T Pct. GB
The Hittin' Mickeys 25-22-3 .530 -
Splash Mountaineers 25-24-1 .510 1
Mickey's Steamboats 22-24-4 .480 2.5
Yak n'n Yankees 16-32-2 .340 9.5

Goofy W-L-T Pct. GB
JUNGLE (Nelson) CRUZ 28-21-1 .570 -
Gray Sox 22-23-5 .490 4
BLT Goats 20-25-5 .450 6
Goofy Hustle 21-28-1 .430 7

Donald W-L-T Pct. GB
PhineastoEzratoGus 29-17-4 .620 -
Epic Phillie 30-20-0 .600 1
Baloo's Cubs 25-22-3 .530 4.5
Maelstrom Kingpins 21-26-3 .450 8.5

The top three teams in the Mickey division appear to be striving to reach some consistent level of mediocrity. The Hittin' Mickeys are becoming easier to spot having taken over first place the past few weeks. Their old nemesis, the Splash Mountaineers, have made a steep climb in recent weeks and soon hope to reach their laughing place without getting all wet. They are joined by Mickey's Steamboats and their solid, but monotone, team. THe last place team, the Yak 'n Yankees, were lost in the mountains of Nepal for the first few weeks, but their sherpa giude has thankfully returned them safely to the Fantasy website.

The Goofy Division features three tems with below .500 records. Jungle(Nelson) Cruz has sucessfully fended off a tribe of head hunters and corny jokes from tour guides to take control of first place. The Gray Sox and their all-Goofy roster are only just below .500 and are hoping for a little "How to" success from their friends on the Blue Sox. The BLT Goats are nipping on their heels (as goats are known to do) but still have not produced any goat-flavored bacon. Goofy Hustle is right in the middle of the dance there as well and you should not bet against them making a charge.

The Donald division appears to contain the powerhouse teams this year with 3 teams above .500. PhineastoEzratoGus is making full use of their "First-place-inator" so far. Epic Phillie is within just a single brush-stroke of first place and is also the only team in the league without a tie - whatever that means. Baloo's cubs are also going strong and, hopefully, will not resort to their lazy ways. The Maelstrom Kingpins have some rough seas ahead if they want to compete in this division.

Happy birthday James!

Thanks, Brian!

Two hours to go. My angel.

looks good... pizza planet??

Only 238 more to go...

So today, I took my whole heard to the Mall. Just a few strange faces staring at us. One lady had the "they must be nuts" look on her face seeing that we had one in a stroller and a newborn, then 3 older ones. Had to get some dresses for the older DD's as we have a few graduation parties coming up; My niece and wife's 2nd cousine.

It was Frappy Hour @ Starbucks. 6 drinks for $15! My DD first Frap. Soy Strawberries & Cream. She drank about 1/4 of it, which is probably enough anyways.

Not a coffee drinker, myself. Love the pic though!

Happy birthday James. Celebrated with a cocktail at the pool bar.

Thanks, CJ! Glad I could give you the opportunity to celebrate something!

What a terrific day. 27 children and all their families filled up the church for a special Mass for them. After a brief reception and pictures, we went out to eat at O'Charley's. Brian, I must have missed you. We waited about 10 minutes. We used to buy and prepare food at home, grill, casserole, etc. But, DW and I decided that it is much better to spend the extra money and save the prepare and clean up time as well as keeping all of them out of our house. When the party ends, we don't have to worry about entertaining stragglers.

Even though we had much of the family craziness, we had a great day, dd was so happy to have so many people at her 1st Communion (22 counting us). Praise the Lord - a great day!

Totally agree that sometimes it's worth the extra $$ to have someone else setting up, cooking, and cleaning!!

Morning Men!

Been a rough weekend, did alot of work around the house and yard. Definitely feeling it this morning, very sore. Something about holding a weedeater for 3 hours that just kills my back and shoulders!:lmao:

Matt

trying to find time to do yard work... could be doing something now, but here I am, catching up on the boards. Priorities.

Good morrow to my fellow DisDads!

May is already flying by, but still won't go fast enough when you leave for the World on June 1st.

I'm off tomorrow for the kids' school picnic, and an eye dr. appointment. I'm hoping for contact lenses before the Disneyworld trip.

I got to strum the Stratocaster this weekend, and I can play a passable version of Hard Days Night, I got the lawn mowed, and got the new swingset put together. Overall, a solid weekend. :thumbsup2

Work just needs to slow down, but that's not going to happen. Instead, I'll just keep on thinking "just 4 more weeks till I'm having a Dole Whip"

glad you had a solid weekend, you'll be leaving for WDW before you know it!!

Good morning gentlemen and others, made it through a decent weekend. Only decent because while we had a successful yard sale and some good stuff happened, my wife was feeling a bit under the weather so we didn't get to do as much as we'd have liked.

Went and saw Avengers on the 3D IMAX last night...wow, loved it.

Hope DW is feeling better.

Good morning DIS Dads! The rain has stopped :thumbsup2 , the sun is shining :cool1:, my lawn is 6 ft tall

Lawn Maze??

Great morning. For the first time, able to get out of bed with absolutely no back pain. I am going to resume my exercising routine.

:thumbsup2

Could use some prayers this am. DW having another surgery today. If doesn't fix things, there's a very large surgery in the future.

Hope it goes well!!

Well, I suppose I should I should fire up the ole email engine and start sorting the chaos....or wait another 30 minutes...

Hey, any of you Laser Engineers by any chance?

no, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

A happy belated birthday to James and congrats on wining the “Sobriety Pool”

Thanks, Rob!

Awwwwe Maaaannnnnn.... I think my 17mo has Foot & Mouth

ugh! hope that clears up quickly!

Welcome! And another Sconnie! We'll take this place over yet!

There was a joke on weekend update on SNL about the "Ultimate New Yorker" sandwich, which contained like 7lbs of meat. Punchline was that the "ultimate new yorker" moved there from wisonsin.

Thanks guys! Everything went well today (although she had a huge migraine after the case). She's home & in bed now. But it'll be another 6 weeks before we know if she'll need the major one.

glad to hear it went well. Hoping for the best!!

By the way... Happy Birthday. Even though I'm a little late.:lmao:

Thanks, Andy!

Go Steamboats!!

Weekend was good. Took family to Citifield yesterday to see the Mets host the Diamondbacks. It was DD and DS's first game. It was good game, from what I hear. I was holding DS the entire game and he really didn't allow me to watch much of it. Stood on a long line after the game so DD could run the bases. Once the line started moving it went fairly quickly. They let us onto the field from the bullpen area, walked down the warning track along the right field seats, and then DD ran from first base around to home where I met up with her, and then exited the field by third base. It was cool for me just to be on the field. Next year, they'll let me run along with DS if we take him too.

DW made peanut butter cup cupcakes for me. Gotta love that woman!! Chocolate cupcakes baked with a peanut butter cup in the middle, and topped with peanut butter icing and crumbled peanut butter cups!!

have to bring some to work tonight to try and get rid of them, or there goes my diet!!

Hope everyone's having a good monday!!

Hey, if you're trying to get rid of them... :rolleyes1

The look like they're pretty good. Anytime you start mixing chocolate and peanut butter it has to be delicious.:thumbsup2

:lmao: that is great! Good news is my voice held up in the 65 min conf call and I'm guaranteed the order if my solution works. Now just have to crunch some numbers and have Engineering hunt down some F-theta telecentric lenses for me for 355 and 1070nm lasers.....oh crud, did I just break a DisDad Law....

So....I fixed the photo links in my Sig a week ago and I noticed I still have 330 pics to update from my '09 trip. Nothin better than some sideways images.

Chris, praying it was a success and for a speedy recovery.

Back at it. After the meeting on Saturday DS and I headed north to check on the house. Thankfully the neighbor had mowed the front yard but the back and sides were almost 2 foot tall. The reel mower just didn't work so 5 hours later we got it done. The house is now ready for the family to head out and they are ready to go. DW and another mom had a Girl Scout Tea all planned for Saturday and then none of the other troop members showed up. :sad2:

Today was a day to try to get caught up but rained out again. We did pull the 4-H country hams for washing and rehanging but based on my limited experience we lost all 24. Those 60 degree days in February just were too hot. DS was excited that he probably won't have to learn a ham speech for the state fair though.

She looks beautiful! Congrats again!
??

Thanks.

Non eventful day. I was able to get in 20 minutes of exercise, slightly altering some exercises and replacing them with of my back exercises from PT. It was a little stiff after dinner, so I hope I didn't overdo it. Then, the skies opened up and it rained hard. Done to a slight drizzle now. Good news with the rain- it washed my car today.
