Three, read it over again slowly before you post it. Otherwise, some people may misunderstand you and think you were wrestling the child to the ground instead of the zebra.

Woops… credit where do. You beat me to that punch line.

Seriously though, I think TRs should include all the trivial details that you wouldn't think people would want to know. Throw them all in there!! Like how you spent the downhill portion of Spaceship Earth trying to remember where the car was parked.

I’d be careful with advice like that. If he were to follow such notions, his TR’s might end up looking somewhat like mine, and we wouldn’t won’t that now would we? I mean consider the possible devastation that could be wrought upon the universe if he were to follow my example and add such hideous monstrosities as the infamous “Bonus Feature”. Mine are abomination enough don’t y’all think?

Evening (Morning?) All... just popping on before I crash for the night. Tonight was okay, I stayed away from almost everyone, so it was peacefull. Boss called me from his seminar in Barrie, about something unrelated, but we discussed the issue, thought I handled it fine, we'll figure it all out next week, and try to avoid the guy (Easy when you run the shift, right? :rotfl2:). He doesn;t want me killing the guy apparently :rolleyes2:rolleyes1:hyper:

Sorry you’ve been having such drama at work. That kind of Beverly is never fun. Hopefully, this will start of straighten back out in the near.

Hi guys,
need someone to explain to my wife there is no DVC at the Grand Canyon. So, we can not vacation there. :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Oh… and
:welcome:

I missed where you joined in,
Welcome sir!

Hey, my DD has the same shirt!

Neighbor snap'd this shot of a Rainbow crashing down in to my house:

What a nice surprise, but now we know you have the gold.

Just got news that my uncle (95 years old) passed away tonight.

He's been in and out of hospitals for a few years now.

He had a heart attack last night, and another tonight - and then his battle was up.

He lived a long life, and will be missed.

My condolences.

Tonight got theraputic in a way, I had to re-configure products in the cooler fridges tonight prepping for an influx of new items, real thinking-type job, got wrapped up in it, and when I use my brain like that, I relax:thumbsup2

Also heard who we will get for our new assistant manager, I've worked with her in the past a couple of times, including when I first started with the board, she and I get along fine, just not sure about how she'll pull her weight, but will love to see some others get panties in a knot over it. :lmao:

Sometimes it's nice to know head office is paying attention, especially since our boss is away this week. Sometimes though, I think he tries to avoid me :rotfl2: It seems like everytime he stops by, I'm wound tighter then a drum

Glad to hear it was a better night and hope the new asst mgr works out for the best.

The girls from Niagara over the weekend...

Cute pic!

*shudder* Do you actually want anyone to take the class? :confused3:rotfl:

Mostly it's an idle threat...or I just pull it out for the kids I DON'T want in the class...

Morning everyone!

There is no DVC at the Grand Canyon. You cannot vacation there, unless that is a stop on the drive to Disneyland.

‘
Glad to hear that this turned out well. Hopefully this first procedure will be the last one and she won’t have to deal with it again. We all hate to see our kids hurting (even if it’s something that will ultimately be good for them in the long run)..

Thanks. She was excited today to show everyone this morning. Good thing the cyst was in the arm.

like what? :confused3
!!

If you really want to hear the number of times a day I poop on vacation, or the size or color, I could just email you a pic. Some details are too much to share.

DD is at school and today she is staying there! :cool1: (until 2:15.) I don't know what to do with myself. Too bad it's raining, otherwise I'd do some yardwork.

DS and I are watching Toy Story. Okay, Toy Story is on, and DS is getting into everything and I'm listening to it while trying to do things on the computer.

I'm listening to ESPN radio at work. Thankful for my smartphone with radio that runs without streaming thru AP.

Well, if they were all: "we went on the jungle cruise, then next we went on POTC..." that wouldn't be any fun.

Personally, I don't want to know that. But if you are shooting for the wider audience, there's probably somebody here who would want that info! :rolleyes

I've been using my phone for Live365 in the car, on the train, and walking around the city getting to/from work.

Just got an email from the wife. She has recommended me to a student of hers to help plan their first Disney Vacation! ... Will this be as fun as planning my own or a pure nightmare? Its Disney I'll have fun and I sure hope I can help them to have fun.

Wish me luck:)

MB includes a lot of coastline. Where along the Grand Strand are you staying, and how far are you willing to drive to get said dining experience?

We're going to be more-or-less directly east of Pine Lakes Country Club, if you know where that is, on North Ocean Boulevard. And, if it means I don't have to wait for an hour and a half for mediocre food, I am willing to travel significantly. Thanks!

Well, that depends on quite a lot. First, how old is the student (16 is legal in KY) and just how "hands on" you get to be with the planning. Let me clarify. 16 is legal age for driver's license and is the student driving to WDW? Will she be driving you and the family with her to be the tour guide while at WDW? What did you think I meant?

Planning is always fun. Caution - If the student has never been, they may not understand just how big WDW is. Try to educate, but not overwhelm.

As it turns out, the last day of school is May 21 & I have that week off. Plus, with Memorial Day, this would be a great 6 night, 7 day vacation. I am meeting Dave and his family Saturday at Huber Farms, so i could still get in a 4 day vacation somewhere. I think DW has to work that week so it will just be the dds and I. I have made the drive to WDW before to when DW wasn't feeling well. Or, i do have some priority club travel points thru work i could use. My original plans were to go to the zoo and other local stuff, but, a quick get away might be nice as well. Golf shores is close? Hmmm...

Good news from Seton Hall. The "mandatory" orientation session while we are in Hawaii is not mandatory. They have another one at the end of August. We will probably drive up for that and stay until the term starts. So I guess she will be going to SH. No way I was giving up on the vacation.

Rain just passed through. Another storm is on the way. The pool is closed and more importantly THE POOL BAR IS CLOSED! Now what am I going to do?

Ahhhhh, but there’s the rub… almost every thing is a wait down there.
Y’all are staying pretty much in the middle of the Strand. Heading up to Calabash would probably serve you well.

However…
If you were not opposed to driving inland to Conway, SC…

Radd Dew Bar-B-Que Pit
3430 Highway 701 S
Conway, SC 29527
(843) 397-3453

We spend our time farther south in the Garden City area.
The prize down that-a-way (for us at least) would be this Italian spot:

Finocchio's
3100 Highway 17 Business
Garden City
843-651-2110

A seafood house we rather like
(but it ain’t cheep and there will be a wait):

Sara J's
314 Atlantic Ave.
Garden City
843-651-1657

Other folks rave about this one (but I’ve not tried it yet):

Gulf Stream Cafe
350 South Waccamaw Dr.
Garden City
843-651-8808

There is also the “Road Food” approved (but almost 2/3s of the way down to Charleston)

McClellanville Diner
9905 North Highway 17,
McClellanville
843-887-4499

If you were willing to drive 180 miles, I could recommend a good bit more, but that would really defeat the purpose of going to the beach. The problem is that there is much there, but it’s mostly chains of one type or another and the density of the crowd makes almost every thing a wait. I’ll ask my family and friends the same question and let you know if they think of anything better.

Just catching up.....

And here I thought going onto the night shift would be good this week. :sad2:

Sorry guys, I needed to rant here (I've ranted alot lately, I know).
Rant away... that's what Barry is here for!

Hope everything has gotten better.

Got back from WDW last night. We had a blast. Noah and I placed 13th out of 180 mens teams in the everest challenge. The late night party was great, He's already talking about doing it again next year. We stayed at Dolphin and at AKL this trip. We were really impressed with both resorts.
Nice!!! Sounds like you guys had a fun time!

We are home. They gave her an injection in the cyst. It should reduce the size, which will reduce the pain. She has a follow up in a week. The next option would be surgery to remove. I hope the injection works.

When they gave it to her, she squeezed my hand and i could tell she was in pain. She did really well. The nurse has a child 1 year younger, at same school (only 1st grade) & who plays in same soccer league. I was ready to send my angel back to school, but she starting playing up the pain and ended up getting to stay home. She snowed them good. So, i got to stay home the rest of the day and went to Japanese Hibachi for lunch.

Thanks again for the prayers.
Hope the injection works! I know how it is watching your kid go through procedures and I'm glad she took it well. :goodvibes

I think if you look at DIS Dad's TR's, you'll see that humor, sarcasm and movie references tend to be a huge hit. Just don't rely on bad puns like Barry.:sad2:
Team Tim!!!!

Just got home from work and still on call until Thursday morning. Uuuugh! BUT!!!!! There is a silver lining to this dark cloud!!! Walked in the door and got a call form our travel agent and we received an upgrade on our upcoming cruise to a verandah cabin!!!! :cool1: 38 days and counting!!!
that's nice!!!

I wish we got upgraded. :artist:

Good luck!

You know that it Barry's fault that the pool bar is closed. :stir:

Gulf Shores sound good to me. Somewhere new is generally a good choice.
You’ll always have memories and new stories to tell.

Dodged a built there… :thumbsup2

And if the pool bar is closed, it must be time to bust out the hip-flask
(you did remember to bring that with you… right?)

THE POOL BAR IS CLOSED!
WHAT THE BEVERLY?!?!?!? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I thought they were always willing to take your money for overpriced alcohol.:rotfl2::lmao:

By the way, I'm glad it worked out that she can go to Seton Hall without interference of the Hawaii trip... or vice versa. :rotfl2: I hope the weather clears soon.
