Never been. Maybe one day. Other than a Packer's home game in Sept or October, or a Brewers game in the summer, what else besides ice and cheese is there? I need to time my visit and don't want it to be too cold.
There's tons of stuff! Late night pitch and putt. We can go to the livestock auction and cruise the 4-H babes. Throw stuff off the bridge.

Seriously, there is a lot in Wisconsin. Harley Davidson museum and brewery tours (with Samples!), Wisconsin Dells is a very tourist-driven area with water and amusement parks, Door County (if Wisconsin was a mitten, Door County would be the "thumb" that sticks into Lake Michigan) is full of quaint bed and breakfast type places. The "Northwoods" (basically, the northern 1/3 of the state) has a lot of National Parks & Forests.

I prefer Kobe mutt to the American version.
:rotfl:

She may have to. Found out that there is a mandatory orientation at SH while we are in Hawaii. Have to get her out of it because I am not giving up that trip,
Really, how much would it cost to put her on a plane, attend the orientation, then fly back and meet you in Hawaii?

Anyone going in AuG want to try and golf?? I wont be doing Disney but might golf one of their courses to get my fix
We'll be there the 19th-29th. Not sure if I'll be able to sneak away for a round, but when are you there?

Oh by the way my couch to 5 k is going real well. I have look at the app dozens of times. One of these times I will actually start the thing.
Well, it's a start I guess.

I believe you posted the quote "It doesn't matter how slow you go. You still lap everybody on the couch.":thumbsup2

Barry??? Chris??? Steve?????
:wave2:
Morning CJ and everyone else!

Well, I finally bit the bullet and made the Reservations at POR last night. Gonna spend the week of Thanksgiving at the World!

We were looking at ASMovies, and it was going to be about 1000$ cheaper. But then, when I double checked all of our selections I found out that we had left off the dining plan. Price difference between the two with the dining plan was about 400$. Looking at the bus rides and the food court, I figured it was well worth the difference. So, 6 months, 2 weeks and a few days until our trip!!

Matt

?

Some of that sounds fun - especially Brewery samples. Maybe one day. Ask your wife what she knows about COA (Council on Accreditation) with some of the agencies she works with. I was trained and approved as peer reviewer which means more free travel.

Morning, Gents! :surfweb:

Hey Don.

!

Good Tuesday to all you fine gentlemen. We got some needed rain last night but now it is too wet for field work so my plans are all shot for the day. Could always be worse though.

Did you read specifics on audit of Richie Farmer as Ag commissioner? Sad.

 How do you get around wdw?

Matt

We stay at BLT and walk to MK and monorail to Epcot. When we stay at BWV, we walk to Epcot and boat to DHS. Now, if AKV would add their transportation to AK other than bus, like maybe a zip line, then we'd be set.

Now that I'm at my crossroads, I might have found a partner on my VA venture, a friend of mine that owns a Italian Bakery might be on board with me:thumbsup2, my idea is to buy some road front property between Busch Gardens & all the Hotels on Bypass road, those who know the area know exactly where I'm talking about:banana:, I'm going to need 3 types of rolls that I would get fresh from the bakery ( after hearing my idea he said with my volume and just fresh Italian bread, (of course made with Jersey, NY water would most likely make him cash with anything else being gravy:thumbsup2), now all I need is a Meat Provision supplier, I know a few of them so I'll have to start picking their brains, that can get anything we need from NJ,NY & PA easily:banana: Together as a Team (T- Together, E- Everyone, A - Achieves, M - More attitude) We might have a hell of a success on our hands:confused3
HUH? :confused3

Morning guys,

Watching the news. After the Heat/Knicks game Stoudemire put his fist thorough a glass enclosed fire extinguisher. Cut it so bad that the paramedics had to come. Out for the next game and may miss the rest of the series. As Bugs Bunny would say, "What a maroon." Bad for him but good for the Heat.
What an idiot.

:thumbsup2 Congrats!

Morning everyone..

Eveyone's glomy around here this morning, DW's taken the cat to the foster home. Hope her drive is uneventfull, it;s already busted the door of the carrier once :scared1:. Kids are sad, but it's better for everyone involved. Me, I'm just glad we can relax at night, open the windoiws etc. Just hate making everyone sad.

Day off today :thumbsup2 will get a bit of that sleep back, and then round the house chores.

Maybe your next pet will be something more domesticated, like a Tasmanian Devil. :lmao:

Good Morning Gentlemen

Morning Carl! Couldn't find anyone to play with you after bedtime I see.

I have to admit... I totally spoiled the family this last trip. Up until this past year we had totally relied on Disney transportation to get around WDW parks. In Dec we needed to rent a car due to staying off property. Now DW doesn't even want to think about using Disney transportation ever again! :rolleyes1 The first thing she noticed was the drive from the airport to the hotel. "We're here already?" :lmao: Might be while before we have another magical express ride.

We drive down each trip and usually stay off site. Getting around by bus was the only choice that my in-laws had due to FIL having to use an ECV this trip. We drove everywhere the whole time since we were on a different schedule and while the buses are great for those who need them, I'm happier with driving. :car:

am I in the right place ????? This is the DDC correct??? the place is empty no one home:confused3

Wow I guess I need to go elsewhere to find any one home

You were up past my bedtime. Maybe next time. Good post padding.

Good Morning Gentlemen
You're up early. I need to talk to myself sometime. It looked like fun!

We always rent a car since my DW has family in the area. It is nice just to jump in and go when you want.:thumbsup2

I just realized that it was 9 years ago today that I proposed to my beautiful bride.

I think I'll pick her up some flowers and shock the heck out of her when she asks what they are for. :thumbsup2

Good Morning!!

been very hard to get on the boards lately. I wouldn't be on right now if it wasn't for the fact that DS is under the weather. He's had a pretty consistent fever since friday. Saw the doc yesterday and she wanted to give it another 24 hours. So, nearly 20 hours later the temp hasn't gone done. It spiked a little bit higher last night, and was back at its usual level this morning. No other symptoms at all to speak of. Hoping it might just be a weird teething thing and not anything more serious. Poor little guy is down for a nap.

At work, I was told by a co-worker that someone over her head was questioning her about my hours. I don't have any interaction with this person at all, but it seems he looked over the timesheets and saw that I was putting in for more hours than the other members of the crew. Well, since I stay later than they do, that would certainly make sense. But it has me worried, not because I did anything wrong, but because these are the people who make the decisions and if they are questioning it, they may decide something needs to change.

They are also still paying me more than the originally quoted rate, so there's also the possibility they may realize that now, even though I brought it to there attention back in February.

And I was just telling DW how things were going well with this job and I thought we'd be able to extend my SAHD contract through the next school year since it was working out so well.

Lastly, I've discovered the beauty of listening to LIVE365 in the car. My car has bluetooth for the phone, and it turns out I can stream anything I play on my phone through the car stereo... pandora, youtube, and Live365!! I don't feel so bad about not signing up for the satellite radio anymore!!

Hope everyone is doing well!

‘Morning all…

Happy Birthday Kevin
And for everyone else: welcome to May
(my word can you believe were already five months into the year).

I like the zip line idea. We need to forward that one on to the Imagineers.

Not any more, I don't! And Thank You So Much for bringing up such a sad memory! :sad2:

Ouch!

(or would that be: Bazinga?)

I just realized that it was 9 years ago today that I proposed to my beautiful bride.

I think I'll pick her up some flowers and shock the heck out of her when she asks what they are for. :thumbsup2

Sounds like an excellent plan to me.
It’s always a good idea to build up a little extra credit. :thumbsup2

As an aside… my DW would faint if I got her flowers. It’s not that I don’t give her things (actually she pretty much gets near anything and every thing she wants so long as I can afford it). I just see cut flowers as a poor investment given their transient nature. Better a gift that will get used for a longer period of time. If she asked for them specifically, she'd get ‘em. If I pick the gift in question, it will be either something heartier, or an experience that can be remembered (like trip to WDW).

No, for you Tim they will start the race a noon. Feel free to sleep in.
:rotfl2:

I knew it starts at like 6 or something but I wasn't figuring a 2:30am wake up call. :scared1:

Barry, just checked out the pre trip report and Tim updated his recent training. He is taking this seriously so you better get your butt out there. Considering the money I put down on you, my child's education is riding on your beating him.
You best kiss that ed-u-ma-fa-cation goodbye!

That reminds me, I have to pack because I am leaving for WDW Friday.
:offtopic:

You might be able to sleep in a little longer. We try and be to the bus by 3:30am. Most people seem to get up between 2:30 and 3 am You have to remember it's about a mile from where they drop you off to the starting corrals and there can be issues with traffic if you are taking a bus to epcot that morning.
WOW, I never thought of that. That sux.

Yes, but not as much as before the baby. I have set two new personal bests in 5k training leading up to this Saturday's CSSW Home Run & Walk for Foster Care 5k.
popcorn::

Nah, that's just an old wive's tale. Feel free to hang out in England, pounding back Irish Car bombs until closing. :thumbsup2
I bet it would take only 1 after the race to make me tipsy.

What a wuss. Wearing booties. And he didn't even leave any ice shards floating the water. Who wants to dive into clear water when you can leave an inch or so of slush on top?
:rotfl2:

Tim, I will buy.
Don- Please link this on the first page for future reference. ::yes::

And the nail in the coffin. Sure, I was considering going and abandoning the DW so I could drop $$ on entry fees for the privlidge of running 26 miles. But if I have to be up at 2:30? forget it. Makes me glad i didn't start training.

Yea, I'm sure that was the deciding factor. :rolleyes1

So this is where I'm supposed to post now that I've found you guys, is that correct?

Next trip is coming up in July and I know I'm more excited about it than the rest of the family.
