Morning guys,

Seems I hit a posting milestone today. Usually when that happens the poster pontificates on the life changing experience the Dis has had on their life. So here goes...

Blah blah blah, insert something witty. More blah blah and include a profound statement. Finally, blah blah blah and some sentimental hogwash. So there you go.

In all truthfulness it has been fun playing in this sandbox. I have enjoyed sharing trips with everyone along with life’s highs and lows. It has been an interesting couple of years.

Way to go... Blah blah blah... Congrats on 2000... Yadda Yadda Yadda.... We enjoy your company too.... Etc, etc.... Love the trip reports, under water pics, and pirate princess crash updates.....whoopdie doooo....

:rotfl:

Keep up the good work cj

OK, let me just say CRUD. I intended to go back and catch up from this weekend, but we got to work this morning and the power was out. Now that we're back up and running, nothing is working right, so I actually have work related problems to deal with.:sad2:

Welcome to the new dads and I'll hopefully be back soon.

Working at work sucks!!!!

I would like to join the DDC! I knew this forum was here, but never joined because I wasn't a "dad" yet. My wife and I have just finalized an the adoption of our son though, so I am finally a true "DisDad" to my son Braxton. Thanks

Congrats on the adoption, David!! You are member # 699! :thumbsup2

Hi guys.

On the basis of the below stated Man Law, I would like to throw my hat into the ring to be a DIS-Dad

No family of my own at this point but eagerly awaiting the arrival of a niece or nephew and while waiting for that have been sharing my love/obsession with all things Disney with my students at school. I seem to get the eye rolling from my Principal more and more these days.:confused3

Anyway, I'm an American who has been transplanted to Switzerland 9 years ago. Moved here to teach music at an international school. Was in Orlando area for the 6 years prior to that and while there was a Cast Member at WDW.

I still get back to WDW and DCL frequently as I became a DVC member in anticipation of having a family one day, even though the prospect of a niece or nephew is more promising than one of my own.

Most recent trip was 2 weeks over Easter that included 4 nights on the Dream, 3 nights at WDW and 7 nights on the Fantasy. And the upcoming plans are for another Land/Sea Combo during our week break in October.
OKW/Dream/AKV

Looking forward to reading a lot of your trip reports and just keeping up with the guys here on the DIS.

Cheers,
Christopher

Hi Christopher!! We have yet another country to add to our list of locations ;) You are lucky member # 700! :thumbsup2

Whoops... looks like I posted to the wrong thread to get on the member roll. :)
So... here we go again!

Real Name: David Robinson
Location: Portland, OR
Family Situation: Married w/ 4 kids
Occupation: CPU Design Engineer -- Intel Corp
Pets: None
Favorite Food: Lime Chicken Enchiladas
Favorite Drink: Dr. Pepper

Next Disney Vacation: Disney Cruise to Alaska, Aug 27, 2012! :cool1:

I lived in Orlando in my gradeschool years and went to Disney any time we had friends/family visit from out of town. Towards the later years, I recall thinking "Disney Again?!!". I can't believe I'd have such a terrible thought! I'd love to visit that often now!!

Another geek! Woohoo! :cool1: Welcome, David! You are member # 701! :thumbsup2

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

Working at work sucks!!!!

Agreed!

After a few minutes of futility and realizing I don't know what the beverly I'm doing anyway, I remembered that we just hired a new IT guy who is starting today... Welcome to the company!!!! :lmao::rotfl2:

What's up guys....

Still raining in South Georgia/North Florida...thank you Beryl, needed the rain:thumbsup2

Ouch! But if I remember correctly, the Dolphins kept the Bears from going undefeated in 86. I don't talk pro football. Too painful. Bad owners and incompetent front office for years.

I think it was the Coral colored sport jackets that threw off Da Coach. :rotfl2:

CJ, very well stated and I thank you for keeping it at my intelectual depth. Seriously though, I'm glad that you (and I) joined this group as its been good to get to know you.

So my DW pulls out a movie for us to watch the other night. Warrior. Okay movie, better if you enjoy MMA fighting. But got us talking about an AWESOME movie, Warriors (1982, about the gang trying to fight their way back to Coney Island). Anyone else remember it? Seems like more of a NY area movie, since only NY/NJ/CT people commented on my FB post on it. How about out of area guys? Anyone else remember this movie as fondly?

LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!! ("Warriors.... Come out and Play!") My friends and I would watch this all the time back in high school. A couple of us worked at a video store (a place where you rented video tapes for those younguns among us) and we used to run that on a loop during the late shift.

Glad I'm not alone! My DW (from Brooklyn/Staten Island) had never seen it! Something I am rectifying! (when I asked her horrified, she explained that she was a girl...)

Inconceivable! How could anyone from "our generation" not have seen this movie? (OK, so it was a cult classic, but I digress).

Mic check… testing… one… two… “Is this thing on?”

Ahem…

CRUD!

That is all...

Well, I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing, but I apparently still have a nemesis. :rolleyes1

Good… bad… your call.
I do hope you spoke disparagingly of me in my absence.

Now then, was there anything back there in the last coupe of weeks that I needed to see?
(Yah… I know… silly question, but still…)

Oh and just for you and as special present… while I was away I was able to conspire with your upper-management and get them to bring in a new “Project Manager”.

So how’s that been working out for ya’? :stir:
