So I discover yesterday that I have a bonus day off this week (tomorrow) because New Years fell on Sunday. Is it wrong of me to send my eldest daughter to my parents, as has been previously arranged, so I can have an afternoon of Wii/Xbox to myself?

Take the day to yourself Brent! I get the occasional Friday off at home with no kids myself. It does wonders for me...I get to do what I want to do, including watch any kind of movie other than a Princess one!
