Well, there was finally a shake-up and transfer today at work, but it was not me, my boss is being sent back to Toronto, and they are giving us some guy who's got a whopping 6 months experience.

Things are going from bad to worse. Boss isn't too happy either, even though he is now closer to home. All I could think of is that the Useless Bridgade at the store are wringing their hands with glee, the boss was starting to crimp their plans finally.
I've not always seen eye to eye with him, but we've worked well together, he often joked that I was the real Assistant Manager, and has been VERY accomedating to me for time off/shift requests etc. I usually get a lot of freedom to do as I want, and run a lot of aspects of the store, alot I admit I like. Now it's back to square one again, with an inexperinced guy to boot. I can't compete with the ***-kissers (and we have them) and don;t want to have to prove myself AGAIN. This new guy is the 8th manager I've had in almost 10 years in this store.
Boss has told me and my co-worker who is of the same mindset that he is going to have a meeting next week with the new guy, to give a rundown on who's-who/what to expect, but unless this guy is a hard-*** who plans to right the wrongs, then I'm not going to be optimistic that this'll be for the better. My turn to go might still come, when moves are made they shuffle managers first, then others later, but with a newbie, an assistant who is biding his time to retirement and doesn't care, and a whopping 6 staff on "modified" work, I may not be going anywhere soon. It's going to be an INTERESTING new years, that's for sure...
