Tim, do you use a computer to DJ? We went to a wedding/ New Year's Eve party, and while I was intoxicated, it looked like he was running the songs thru his laptop. He had a couple microphones, speakers, amps, lights, etc.

I had to get off the ipad... it was taking me forever to type. LOL

Yea, I DJ using my computer. I have a external with all my music on it. I have about 90,000 songs and it takes up about 650gigs. My turntables hook up to the computer and I am able to control all my mp3s (or other files).

Getting it for her huh?

I've used it 2 times since Christmas. I rather use my macbook pro.

Third, I did some research before making my final decision on the iPad (this was her Christmas gift) and I read many negative reviews about the fire. I just need a tablet that works for her without having it get too technical for her.

I pre-ordered the Fire, so I didn't have the reviews to read. But, I think it is a real easy tablet. DW hasn't let me play with it much, but I was able to network in faster to PC than I was able to network my windows netbook. But, DW wanted a tablet for playing and reading books, so i hit a home run.

It looks like Iowa will take a little longer to pick a candidate for the rest of the US to consider. Why can't we change these archaic practice? Have everyone debate on tv/radio and let everyone vote.

The caucus was a fun time when we lived out there. Piling out in sub-zero weather to listen to political posturing was better than sitting at home watching exposed flesh warnings scroll across the TV.

KY now is reporting an increase in dog fighting. You would think Vick would have brought enough bad press to this, but I guess not.

Our local feed store sells more game kock feed than anything else. It is for all the "pet roosters" everyone has.

I heard chicken fighting was still pretty common in Eastern KY from a few of my friends at the university there, but I didn't hear of dog fighting being back on the rise.

It has it plusses and minuses. Now everyone can 'take' songs from youtube and be a DJ.

You have a much better set- up than this guy had. He sat in his chair, did the wedding stuff - single ladies gather bouquet toss, guys vs girls in YMCA & Macarena, chicken dance, etc, but that was about it.

I'm used to the cheesy stuff, but I couldn't get over how he just sat there. He also had some print t-shirt underneath his white dress shirt and tie. I've seen a few good shows, but probably more like this guy - minus the sit down part.

Honestly, most of the weddings I do I am specifically told NOT to do any of those dances. Of course I have to run all the formalities.. ie. first dance, parents dances, garter & bouquet, anniversary dance, etc.
