Being that I've only been on the disdad's an hour, I'd like to say sorry if I insulted any Cub fans. However I have no problem insulting every RedSox fan on here.

Hello all,
My name is Chris. I'm a father of three DS(7), DD(4) and DD(2). Happily married to my wife for eleven years. I am a Disney addict. We go twice a year with an upcoming WDW and DCL trip in January. It seems I'm always planning a trip and indoctrinate my children daily by having them watch the WDW parades on youtube. I'd love to be a member of the DisDad's as I identify with the majority of your criteria.:wizard:

Welcome. There's a lot of this subforum so have add it.

That being said - if you can find a Jeep with the 4.0L inline 6 cylinder - those things will run forever too.

The Checy had a V6 truck motor that last forever, but when they went to the Inline 5, I have not heard a lot of great things. Still, I hope it's another few decades before I have to buy another vehicle.

Howard Stern just announced he will be the new judge on America's Got Talent.

Thoughts?

I am 100% on board.

Probably not enough to make me want to watch. Plus, it's network TV and censored, so doubtful he will bring the spanking machine on with him.

Must be you haven't seen The Red Green Show!
!

A great show. I use duct tape to fix most everything.

Not really a Cub's fan, but grew up on NL Central Teams - Cardinals, Reds, Cubs and the team with the best mascot name - Brewers.

If you're into Fantasy, I just started an NBA fantasy league. Still have some spots available if interested.

Don't worry, I will insult the Cubs any time an opportunity presents itself. By the way, thanks for presenting that opportunity! :thumbsup2

I have to say I like the Red Sox just about as much as I like the Yankees though. :sad2: :rolleyes1

Thanks for the offer. However once the kids came along, I no longer have the time or knowledge to compete in fantasy leagues. I now pick teams like my wife, "A bear is much stronger than a dolphin, however the dolphin is faster". It's sad, but true. I keep up my disney obsession, but have let the sports slide a bit. I still love BACON, so can i keep my man credentials?

I think it looks like you are going to fit in right fine!:rotfl2: Welcome aboard!!:thumbsup2

Hey, guys!

Welcome, Chris!

Happy Birthday, Lee!

Welcome back, Eric!

Sick as a dog last night. Throwing up, etc. Hate that. Haven't done it in years. Anyway, I HAD to go to work this am for 3 hours (unfortunately no way around it) & accidentally put two different shoes on. I posted a pic in FB, Not my proudest moment.... I must say, only one guy noticed (yes, my gay co-worker, cliche I know). The woman all noticed.

Anyway, starting to feel better now, just thought I'd share my foolishness!!

Chris, welcome to the asylum. As a Cubs fan I'm deeply offended.... not by your comments but by the Cubs in general.

Andy, I take back anything nice I've ever said about you. Next time in Chicago we're going to Lou's. :rotfl2:

There is a reason everyone it told to use a LICENSED contractor. My DParents ran a union shop down in CA. We closed as we could not afford to compete against both non-union as well as un-licensed. We had been called repeatedly for bids to "FIX" another contractor's mistake. I am glad I am out of the business (we were a paving contractor, but Dad had a General Contracting License so we did other jobs as well).

I was a union electrician for 18 years before becoming a SAHD. I completely agree with you. I don't know how good union contracting companies can stay in business. As I tell people "you get what you pay for". I have seen so many dangerous installations from incompetent contractors. People see the low price in estimates and don't realize those low prices will come at cutting corners. Because they can't see the wiring in the walls, they generally remain unaware of the danger in their homes.

who ever did it, had about a 40 foot run of 14/2 romex, wire nutted into a k&t line in the attick of the house. from what is left, about every 3 feet, he took a brad and nailed it through the insolation of the romex. :scared1: the people renting the place had a window a/c plugged into the recept. this line fed. they said at the end of summer, it was popping the breaker and they had to keep resetting it. :confused3 well, last month it must of rubbed completely through and that was it. thank god nobody was hurt!!! most of the fire was in the attick but water, smoke damage, they gutted the place.

Oh my friend... you are WAY out of the Howard Stern loop... the Spanking Machine is so 2003.

You really ought to see what he's up to now... I refrain from mentioning anything as "we have been warned" ;)

But I think he will be an awesome judge, he will be brutally honest. Not crude, or dirty, or inappropriate. He takes this VERY seriously.

Evening guys....

Just sitting here at work, waiting for my last appointment to show up. (they're running quite late, we close in 20 minutes).

So I'm entertaining myself with youtube videos of parents surprising their kids with Disney trips.

Puts a smile on my face! :thumbsup2

As someone who did a 5 and 1/2 year electrical apprenticeship, these kinds of things break my heart. Unfortunately the person who did this will never have to answer for it. I hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday despite the current situation. And as you say "thank God nobody was hurt!"
