Last year when we were down I rode on my solo outing and recorded it for DW and the kids who missed it cause it was closed most of our trip. If I didn;t have others in the boat, I'd have recorded a commentary track for it.

I still miss the sad clown with the "help" sign :lmao:
You know, I really do like the ride... to an extent. But DS loved it so we rode it multiple times last week... then I get home and have to watch it on video with the in-laws. That is what set it all over the top.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Is anyone else having issues with buttons and avatar pics and stuff?

I'm all checked in and relaxing a bit in my room at Pop Century, before heading over to meet up with other Reunion folks at the Tambu Lounge at the Poly.

Also, I need to mention here that my wife ROCKS! Not only did she OK this solo trip to WDW, but today she went above and beyond to rescue me from me own screw up.

I was finishing up my packing late last night - electronics always come last. And I was in the midst of gathering electronics at about 11:30 p.m when Squeaker came downstairs looking for me, because he was wide awake and couldn't sleep. So I stopped what I was doing, got him tucked back into bed, and went back to the packing. But the thing that I was in the process of retrieving when Squeaker came downstairs? That was the camera battery charger. Which I managed to completely forget after that interruption.

I tried three different stores when I landed here in Orlando, and couldn't find one (Target, Best Buy, and Ritz Camera). Miriam happened to call me while I was exiting Ritz, and when I explained that I'd stupidly left behind the camera battery, she immediately volunteered to FedEx it to me here at POP. She'd gotten it done before I even got checked into the resort. My battery should be here by sometime tomorrow, in plenty of time for the vast majority of my trip!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

On a lighter note...
I have found out they opened up dates for the Wishes Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party through the times i am going. The wife and myself have a few questions about it. Does anyone know how many people total are allowed to be there per night (roughly), and how is the view of the fireworks from there? I am thinking about making it our last night hurrah. What are your guys' thoughts.:confused3

There were, I'd guess, between 100 and 200 people there the two times we've done the dessert party. When the fireworks are about to start, they encourage you to get up and stand at the rail to get the best view of the fireworks. You won't see too much from your seats, especially if, as we were the first time, trapped behind a support column. :rolleyes1

The Big East conference just added San Diego State. How is that the Big East? Can they change their name and play in the Big "we'll take whatever team with money" East conference?

I am waiting for them to embrace it and change the conference name to "Miscellaneous".

Well, as a matter of fact...I am going to be getting rid of my stone by Thursday one way or the other!!:rotfl2: IfI dont pass it by then..and I doubt I will at this point....they are going to go fishing for it!! Shudders at the thought of it..but oh well..I will be asleep!!

Good luck, man. Anesthesia is your friend.

It is all in the attitude. :thumbsup2

Any tips you can share to avoid stones?

Wait, you're asking the guy who got one?
-------------------------------
This has been an un-fun week. First off, needed new brakes after the car failed inspection due to same. Next up, found the kitchen sink faucet has been slowly leaking down into the cabinet underneath, resulting in damage to the cabinet, water stains on the ceiling of the room below, and the need for a new faucet. :sad2:

On the plus side, tomorrow I get to start giving money to WDW instead. :thumbsup2

That's why we call them our better half!

Enjoy your time in WDW!

He's the one to study the most - 'cause he knows best how important it is to avoid it in the future. :lmao:

Good point. I remember seeing a stat somewhere that 1 in 3 guys get some sort of stone during their lives. We should therefore team up with Steve on this and we're home free :rotfl2:

I can picture her singing the mighty mouse theme as she packed it up... "Here I come to save the day!"

I actually have another method that helps me out with remembering the details. Each evening of a trip I sit down before falling into bed and write a list of short phrases for the major events that day. This won’t do you as much good now, but you could still give it a try with what you still remember now and you can use them to help organize your updates.

Sometimes these phrase lists are an interesting read in themselves. Here’s a random part of one day in the one that I’ll be starting up in the next day or so…

Wednesday:

I’m Makin’ Waffles
The GW
Once More around the Block
The Problem with Bus-2
Strawberry Fields Forever
A Cappella
Going Downtown
Pier 16
Bridges
Yard Arms and Lights
The Problem with Bus-1
Fifteen Loons
Final Rehearsal
Pizza Party
So… are you stupid too?
Early to Bed

I like that. There have been a couple of times that I've updated and afterwards I realized I left out an important detail (probably because I didn't have a picture of it, or it didn't involve a specific ride or character) Sometimes those get lost in the itinerary. A list like yours is a good outline for a TR post.

I'm getting way ahead of myself since I am still working on the current one, but I am really looking forward to the TR for the next trip because I know I'm doing one going into it.

Just finished watching Christmas Vacation on TV. :lmao:

I also managed to find the missing box of christmas decorations. It had the christmas card holder, the stockings, some garland, the lights for the kids' rooms, and a few other knick-knacks. I also found the bag with the christmas hats.

To top it off, I also found a bag of boys clothes that we were given before DS was born, that are all the size he is wearing now. So, if nothing else, this was a good day for exploring the crawlspace!!

Hello all,
Thanks for the good wishes, let's hope something comes soon on the job front.

I got back from the test and a few errands and already had the results. I have a rating of 78.50, whatever that might mean to the USPS. :confused3 This score is valid until Dec 2017 for whatever other USPS jobs I might apply for.

On a different note, (apologies to those who read my FB post this AM but this has added info) my DW woke me this morning around 4:30 needing my assistance. She had a nerve biopsy done yesterday afternoon and had two incisions, one on each leg. This morning she took the bandages of prior to taking a shower and one would not stop bleeding. I rebandaged her with a 2x3 adhesive bandage that soaked through almost immediately. I found a non-stick 4x6 pad, some gauze and re-did the bandage. Took her to the Dr when I could and when the cut if off, there was no more bleeding. The office staff were very impressed with the job I did on it. By this time it was almost 10:00 AM and since she starts work at 5:30 and lunch is at 10:30, she decided to take the whole day off.

Praying for good things to happen on the job front. Way to go with the bandaging job.:thumbsup2

Heck I dont care....we are all guys :rotfl2:...I talked to anesthesia today and I made it perfectly clear that I was to be out cold before any of the blankets came off!!!:rotfl2: Then they are going to take the most unthinkable route with scopes and lasers into my bladder and right ureter!!! Hopefully the stone will come out without a fight!!! I have to be there at 845 am and scheduled for 1045...we shall see!!!

I'll be praying for you in the morning Steve. Hopefully the surgery goes well and it'll finally be over.

Have a great trip Aaron. I think your wife deserves the applause pic.

Looks cool to me... I'll watch it....

I heard last year that Jim Carrey was supposed to be in that.

It's been in developmental hell for so long, it's seemed like they come and go. I think Carrey was concerned for the lengh it was taking, and the weight he allegedly put on to play Curly probably wouldn't be too healthy. I was apprehensive about Hayes doing Larry, but the trailer shows the mannerisms are there, and he has (at times) the voice. I've heard Sean Penn, Billy West and others in it at times...

Noooooooo! There are some things that should not be recreated and this is one. Whats next? The Baldwins playing the Marx Brothers?

DW and I have a long standing running gag about ANY production becomes an instant classic simply by adding Stephan Baldwin :lmao:

Top of the morning guys :cool1:

I saw the Stooges trailer yesterday and I am very disappointed. Originally it was supposed to be a bio pic. I could have lived with that. For goodness sake they have some of the Jersey Shore cast in the movie :scared1:

Morning David.

Morning everyone. Gonna be busy today. DW and DS birthdays today. Full workload today.

Missed a couple of pages.

If anyone was on the LAST POST thread it is now closed. The Moderator was the last post. Otherwise it was katoot.

We made it to page 347 before being shut down.
