Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

Mine has just been so-so. The wife is in the middle of a 12-hour shift at the jewelry store (she finishes at midnight, 3 hours from now). Some of my friends from Incheon were supposed to come visit today, but they all bailed. So I've been spending the day cleaning the apartment and watching movies.

Thinking about going downtown (only a five minute walk from home) to see if there are any carolers about. If not, maybe hit up a foreigner bar for a few beers.

Tomorrow will be most of the same. The wife has to work again, but only from 12-10, I believe. Saved some of the laundry to do tomorrow so I'll have at least something to do.

I dunno...kinda hard to get into the Christmas spirit right now, even though I've been watching only Christmas movies today (Love Actually and Die Hard on one of the movie channels here, then Home Alone 1 and 2 online now).

Anyway, enough of my little pity rant. I'm used to the lack of Christmas-ness here in Korea the past few years(although, my current city, Pohang, has the most that I've seen since getting here in '08). Hopefully, when the wife and I have a kid of our own (I have two stepkids from her previous marriage, but don't get to see them very often), I'll be able to get the wife into more of a Christmas spirit and give the home a more Christmasy vibe.

Sorry, didn't mean to put a damper on the holidays.

Again, Happy Christmas Eve everyone! :santa:

The holidays, bring a lot of clarity and perspective.

Keep your chin up, stay strong and remember Christmas is what you make it.

Happy Holidays!

It's a few minutes early by my calculation, but, Merry Christmas Katoot!! :santa:

Hope you and your wife can get in the spirit and enjoy your day. It's just DW, DS, and I this year, even our friends we normally spend the holidays with are out of town so it does feel a bit less festive this year.

Tell you what, you'll be the non-attending guest of honor at our Christmas Eve meal/buffet/snack-bar/fondue whatever it is tonight.

We had to create our own, but it just wasn't the same!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Dads!

Happy Holidays, Dads!!

It's the night before Christmas and I am one creature who hasn't been stirring here on the boards for the past week or so. Things have been so incredibly hectic.

It's a slow night so far here at work. Spending the better part of this weekend working as opposed to being home with the family is not the greatest, but at least I can pop in here and make an attempt at catching up on what's been going on.

If nothing else, I am glad I have the opportunity to get on here and wish you all a safe holiday weekend. I hope you're all enjoying time with your families.

James

I'm not doing much of anything. Those of us here are just on standby in case something newsworthy happens. I should be out of here by 10pm. I'll be home sometime just before Santa arrives. Then I will be back here at work 5am tomorrow morning, but only working until 10am, and I should make it home for christmas by noon.

Feliz Navidad, Prospero Año y Felicidad mi compadres.

Well add DW to the list of people working on this Christmas Eve. She just got a phone call (here at home) from one of the managers in her building at BOEING (remember, the factory is closed until the 3rd of January) asking her if she could go down sometime and pick and expedite a part out. I do not know when it will be picked up, or where it is going, but I believe she said there is a jet stuck needing the part and can't fly until it get fixed. Union says that she will be paid a minimum of 4 hours for this and it should take no longer than a half hour. Lucky she answered the phone and that the Manager has not blocked caller ID.

Hmmm, I might just be the only one on right now.

Should I make a run for ownage?:confused3

Or maybe just make a shameless addition to post count.

Let's see how many multi-quotes I can do before being stopped.

This is 4

Still have some presents to wrap. Bought the last stocking stuffer gifts today and last food items.

Number 5

I think I have been to grocery store 5 times in the last 7 days and the gluten free bakery 3 in the last 4.

Number 6, I am on a roll

Lucky number 7.
I have been on the DIS just a little less than DW, but I have less than half her posts, I think.
