DDA's New Year's Weight Loss accountability Thread

Ok I weighed in this morning & since my last weigh in a month ago before our trip I am down.......
3 pounds! :cool1: I am so happy!!!!!!!!!!!! I really did not think I would lose, but I guess the walking kept me in check. I am down a total of 16 pounds, 14 more to go. I am over the half way mark, I now weigh 144 lbs :woohoo:

I went to Weight Watchers today as I promised. I am up 1.8 lbs from my lowest weigh in. I'm very pleased with that. I should have been much worse. Now I'm back on track.

I lost 2lbs this week. Best loss I have had in awhile. Glad to be going back in the right direction.

First let me say WAY TO GO!! to everyone on your weight loss or maintained weight.

I went to my first Weight Watchers meeting yesterday and got a lot of information to weed through. I am excited about starting this and just hope I can stick to it. My meetings are on Tuesday so I will try to post each week after a meeting. I think it will help me to be accountable.

I went to my first WW's meeting. I have been trying to loose on my own since January & I just can't get going. I got all the books & some bars & shake mix to help. I am going to read through & hopefully next week I will see a lose. I really needed to totally commit to changing my food habits.
 
You are doing wonderful Melanie!

I know everyone is different, but how many calories do you all try to stay with everyday? I am going by what Sparkpeople.com says I should have & that is between 1210 & 1560 calories a day. I try to keep to the low end, but sometimes I just feel so hungry! Yet if I get close to the 1500 I feel guilty :confused3

I am not counting calories being on WW just doing the points things...a foods point value is based on calories, fiber grams & fat grams.

Good job getting back to meetings Deb...I can't seem to do it without meetings...I have to have that accountability.

It turned out to be a good week after a questionable weekend with lots of company and some not so good choices. I am down 2lbs which I am quite happy with. Helps to prove that I can splurge, but still be responsible. Case in point, the Ted Drewes frozen custard that I would previously have gotten a regular of, I got a regular that I ate about half of with the intention (and success) of bringing it home to Mom. Or the BBQ where I at a burger instead of a burger and brat. I hope that means that I am learning and making good life changes, but I know that it will still be work.

Thanks for the encouragement, Janet! My Dad asked me last night how it was going because it looked like I was really doing well. It felt really good to have him notice because he doesn't always pay alot of attention to things.
 
Hey ya'll....I have to work tomorrow night so I won't get to attend my regular meeting. I'll probably go Wed. Haven't been as good this week as last.....it's always a struggle, but most days I am good.

WOW! I go away for a week and this thread explodes!!! First of all, welcome to all our new friends!!! It's great to see Delinda and Anne Marie here! You guys are going to do so well!!!

It's also nice to see Elin and Jennifer posting again! You guys are going to be so successful!!! Your goals are attainable, and we are here for you! Jennifer, have you considered water aerobics? I know that they are a lot easier on the knees. Maybe something to think about. I'm starting water aerobics in June and I can't wait. I've had good success with them in the past!

Janet - You totally rock, girl!!! To come back from Switzerland and Paris with a 3 pound weight loss is totally AMAZING!!!!! I'm so proud of you!!!! You are one hot chick, lady!!!!!

Tia - It sounds to me like you are really learning to make good portion choices! That is fantastic!!!!! And way to go on your dad noticing! That must make you feel so good!!!!!

Melanie - I've been feeling a bit blechy myself, lately, so I can totally sympathize with you. I just keep repeating your mantra every day, "just keep swimming!" Thanks for being such a good cheerleader!!!!!

I haven't weighed in since I got back from Mom's, and I'm a little nervous about it! I tried to be good, but it's just a lot harder at someone else's house. I'll get on the scale tomorrow and see just what damage was done!

Hi every one! It sound like you are all doing well. I havnt posted on this site in awhile< Ive been doing Weight Watchers for 5wks now and Im only down 51/2lbs Im working hard but some weeks like today I only lost 1/2 a lb. Im getting frustrated, but I wont give up only 30 days till Disney!
