DDA's New Year's Weight Loss accountability Thread

Jen you have not failed! I think you are doing a wonderful job of maintaining your weight!

I think that might be part of my problem, I need to drink alot more water.

I havent been checking in lately because ive failed,,again! But i wanted to see how everyone was doing--and you are doing GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I havent gained or lost, but i havent been trying--Ive been watching what i eat for the most part, but not doing any exercising....im going to try to up my water intake at least to see if that helps

I have never been to The Cheesecake Factory, but it sure does sound good! I know alot of help here lol

You just may be on a plateau. No gain is good though!:thumbsup2

Doing o.k. here, been on the plan (ww)s for about a week & doing great. The big issue I have now is that I am meeting friends for dinner Friday night & we are going to the Cheesecake Factory. I don't go there alot & I LOVE their Godiva chocolate cheesecake..going to be hard to stay on the plan, I'll have to save up some points.

I think you are right, I need to drink more water!

I had been craving a 3 musketeer candy bar for over a week. I finally gave in last night & had one. It was good, but boy was it sweet! So I agree with Glynis, Anne Marie enjoy your night at The Cheesecake Factory.

Glynis sounds like you had a wonderful meal last night!

Janet - try upping your water intake, and that might just shake you off your plateau! Don't get frustrated, just keep going, and soon that plateau will shift!

Jenn - Don't stress too much right now. You've got a lot on your plate, and I think that just watching what and how much you eat is a good step! You can do this! Try adding a little exercise (15 minutes) and see if that doesn't help with your emotional health as well.

Anne Marie - Just don't deprive yourself of the cheesecake! That's the surest way to sabotage yourself. Give yourself permission to enjoy some and be sure to stop yourself when you feel full!

I went to dinner with my dad last night, and I'm pleased to say I was good. They served us the biggest cut of prime rib I've ever seen (can we say half a cow!!!!). I ate about a third of it, and then stopped myself. I allowed myself to eat one of the red potatoes, and the asparagus. Then they brought out dessert! Oh, My Gosh!!!!! It was the biggest piece of chocolate cake I've ever seen! It was 4 layers, and the fudge frosting in between each layer was at least a half an inch thick. I took 3 bites, and that was it for me!!! I did eat the blueberries, raspberries and strawberries that were on the plate for garnish.

It was a great dinner, and I'm happy to say I didn't gain any weight from it!

Exercise is still tough, but I'm doing what I can!

Ok, we are back from Nashville & I am mostly back on track. I went & faced the music last week & only gained 1 pound so that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I have TOM right now & won't be able to get to a meeting this week because of my work schedule. Just wanted my buddies to know, I haven't given up & I am still plugging along. I am getting back to being SERIOUS about this weight loss effort. I have come too far & this is going to be my time to really do this. I've lost over 40 lbs & I am going to keep going so I am healthier & feel better about myself. Ok sorry just giving myself a little pep talk.
Janet.....you can't expect to loose every week..no one does on their weight loss journey & maintaing is great.
Jenn....keep your chin up...you are doing fine.
Welcome back Anne Marie & Becky.
Good job as always Glynnis!!!!!!!! You are an inspiration.
We can all do this together.

Sounds like everyone is really practicing portion control even through the cravings. Way to go everyone! I don't think that I ever posted last week, but I was down 2lbs then. This week I stayed the same with no gain or loss. Not a bad deal considering I enjoyed some birthday cake with Terra on Sunday and then didn't eat very well the next two days when she was so sick. I REALLY need to some exercise worked into my schedule. I am going to pick up some kind of workout video at the library today and will make it a goal to use it at least 3 times this coming week.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Good job Tia with your loss.
Now if I can just stay on track & get the scale moving in the right direction again.
How is everybody?????
We are staying home & resting this weekend...last weekends jaunt to Nashville pooped us out.

I have fallen off the weightloss wagon. I just can't stay on plan. I keep thinking that it will get easier when the weather gets nice. Of course then it will be closer to bathing suit weather and I'll have to get motivated :scared1: I feel bad for paying $40 per month for weight watchers and not following the plan.

Deb

Weigh in was Saturday.

4 lbs lost this week.:cool1: I still have along way to go but it's a nice jump-start.

Hang in there Deb, you have come along way.

Wow 4 lbs Anne Marie that is awesome.

Hang in there Deb....I am feeling your pain. I am having a hard time staying on track too!!!!

Good morning! Weigh in was a little nicer to me this week, I am down 2 more pounds! Today is my last official weigh in till I return from our trip. Keep your fingers crossed that I do not gain much, if any back while we are away. I do plan on trying to watch how much I eat, but I don't want to deprive myself of any yummy food either lol

Keep up the great work everyone!

Great news to start your trip with, Janet! I'm sure that your post-trip weigh in will be great. Have a wonderful time and don't worry as I know you'll get back on track quickly when you return.

Janet, you'll have a great time. Don't worry about your weight on this trip! Just enjoy yourself. You'll probably be doing a ton of walking, and that will help!

You have done so well! I am so proud of you!!!!!

I hope you hav the best time ever!!!!

Janet...2 more pounds good for you. Have a wonderful trip....I can't wait to go to Europe some day. Take lots of pictures to post when you get home, especially of Disneyland Paris. Don't worry about the food....just have the time of your life. :cool1:

I faced the music tonight after really not following program for about 3 weeks in total & I was up another 1.5lbs. I think I have my motivation back now & I am going to get back in the saddle again, because I refuse to let it creep back up anymore. I have a beach trip in less than 3 months & my 40th bday cruise to motivate me to loose the rest of this weight. I know I can do it, I just have to get back in the grove. I am back up 4 lbs from my lowest, but next week the scales will be going back down again.

Have a good week everybody.

:fish: :fish: Just keep swimming :fish: :fish:

So its time to come clean and tell the truth. I've gained 5.4 pounds in the past month. It all started with my work trip to Tannersville, and the weight snuck up on me. I had pretty much gained it by the time I came back from Tannersville and haven't lost it yet. I have been eating healthy until I come home at night and then I have been eating junk, stress eating. I need to cut that out and increase the exercise again. I know I can do this. I really wish I could walk or run outside but the trail I normally would use is covered in ice and I am a klutz. I can't wait for spring. I need accountability or something to prevent myself from eating at night, any ideas??:confused3 :confused3

Congrats to those of you who are losing. :cool1:
