Sounds like everyone is doing a great job..

:cheer2: Way to go!! :cheer2:

I am down another 1.6lbs. I knew this last week would be difficult, between 2 dinners out for my birthday and Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party and then Rosh Hashanah Friday night. There were so many oppurntunities to blow the small progress I had made. One of my biggest things I've been able to do is to not eat to the point where I feel so full and miserable. I have also been under a ton of stress at home and normally will eat when I'm stressed but I haven't.

Keep up the good work gals! I'm proud of each of you and all the changes you have made and all that you have lost!! We can do this!!

That is great. I totally understand the birthday parties and stress eating, those have been my big challenges too and with Nick's birthday coming up on Friday more challenges lie ahead. Together we can get through this. I find myself thinking what would the DDA do? and somehow I find strength to make the right choice. Keep up the good work.

Well, I'm proud of you! Congrats on the loss, even when there were opportunites to pig out! That's great!!!!

Good work, Robyn and Deb! You are both plugging away and doing it right.

I have taken off another 3.6 pounds in the past 2 weeks and have lost a total of 68 pounds. My mini-goal looks easier to achieve now! I have set another personal goal of having 75 pounds gone before we leave for WDW on October 18. Wish me luck!

You'll do just fine, I know it! :thumbsup2 I didn't count points over the last week as it was just too hard. But I just kept an eye on portion size. I am sure that had I not had to come here and tell you how my week went I would have gained those 5lbs back.

Thanks, Elin. Way to go on the 3.6lbs. I am positive that you will be where you want to be by the 18th!!

I have to share with you all my new exercise routine. As you probably remember, I have been bemoaning the fact that it is DARK out and there is too much commuter traffic in our neighborood for me to walk in the mornings.

While doing fall cleaning I found my old step aerobics step in Kathrin's closet. So, I got it out, dusted it off and also got my hand weights. The weather is perfect to take them out on the patio in the mornings after the sun is up and I can put Live365 onto a Disney station and step for 20-30 minutes. Kills two birds with one stone that way too. I can keep my mediocre tan a little longer. :)

Well this summer I moaned about the girls constantly wantin to go for bike rides, so I got my bike out and after a few weight changes, ie; a banana seat for my big butt!!! Now I'm riding the bike for 20 mins every afternoon with DD4. So even though it's a pain the butt (literally) it's strengthening my thighs, which definately need it.

The hardest part was when DD7 said, "Mommy do you know how to ride a bike?" Yeah, Mommy's just fallen off it for the last fifteen years! If she knew how much I use to ride before I married her father, she'd be shocked. I almost didn't buy a car because I rode my bike so much.

Like I always tell my DH, this weight isn't from the kids it's from him. :rotfl:

Hi, and welcome to our group! You've come to the right place if you want support! This is a fabulous group, and I love all the people here! Congratulations on the bike riding! That's one thing that my DH wants to do with me, and I just can't bring myself to do it! Maybe one day!

Anyway, welcome to our group!

   I lost 2 pounds this week    .
As you all know, I had kinda stalled out with gain a half, loose a half, stay the same etc. I just kept swimming :fish: & now I am at 39.5lbs gone. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Wish I had got that 40lb star tonight, but hopefully next week I will push past that hurdle.

Great job on the losses everybody. :thumbsup2

Your new excercise routine sounds like fun Elin....I know that the excercising 3 times a week, is probably what finally pushed me off the stall.

Steffy, thanks for the :cheer2: last week about muscle weighing more than fat. That really helped me out.

Becky, that information from the biggest loser will certainly make me stop & think next time I want a not so good for me snack.

:welcome: Tina.

Keep on going everybody..........go DDA weight loss champions!!!!!!!!!!

As my weight watchers leader says, I'll see less of everybody next week.

That is the way to turn a negative into a positive. Way to go!!

I had my weigh in tonight and lost another 1.4 lbs. I was really hoping that it was at least 2 as I really stuck to it, but I figure that it was the wrong TOM to lose too much. I have lost 5.4 lbs in 3 weeks so that isn't bad. My personal goal was to try to lose 24 lbs in 12 weeks. I can still definitely do it, I just need to add in more exercise. I guess that I thought all this housecleaning would burn calories, but maybe not.

I saw an interesting show on tv the other day, don't even remember what it was but I remember the point. Take a 50 cent bag of M & M's and go to your local football field. Stand on one end zone. Now eat just one M & M. Walk to the other end zone. You have just burned off that M & M. Now you can eat another and walk back. There are approximately 55 M & M's in the little bag. So that is 55 times across that field. Is it really worth it? That is one way to curb a craving isn't it.

Deb - any week that you lose weight is a good one! Keep goin, because you are succeeding at this!

My official weigh in for the week puts me down one pound. So I am at 199, which means I lost 47 pounds, no more 200's for me. :cool1: :Pinkbounc :woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3: :yay:

I really got get back into eating less treats and excercising more, as I am no longer meeting my 4 to 5 day exercise goal the last two weeks have only been 2 to 3 days. I have really been slacking off and I can tell.

Congratulations to those of you who have lost. Everyone keep on moving and making healthy choices. :thumbsup2

Congratulations. It sounds like you have reached your first personal goal. Keep up the good work. What is you next personal goal?

Stayed the same this week.... (time of the month so I'm ok with that).

Hope ya'll have a great week. How's everybody doing?

I had my weigh in tonight. I thought that I had done really well this week as my scale showed me really down and my smaller clothes are fitting again. I was a bit disappointed when she said I only lost 1.4 lbs. That is 3 out of 4 weigh ins that I have lost 1.4 lbs :confused3 I'm happy I'm still losing, but thought it was more. I certainly have been active this last week.

Deb

Tuesday is weigh-in day. And a happy one for me... down another 2 pounds this week for a total of 70 pounds lost. It still boggles my mind.

All I'm going to say is whoever created Oreo cookies needs to be shot!!

Why would DH bring two bags of Oreo cookies into my house when we're under food crackdown? :confused3 I was strong through the first bag, but honestly ladies the second bag was Halloween double stuff and I couldn't help myself. :guilty: However I'm proud to say that the craziness has ended and there are still cookies to be found, in the ziploc bag in the bottom lefthand drawer of the frig (if someone could be so kind and either throw them away or eat them, it would be appreaciated).

Thankfully after a strong finish at my abdoer and some serious focus on the treadmill, I'm down 3 lbs!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:
