DDA Chapter 9

With the possible exception of Kristin, you have the most convoluted dreams ever, Elizabeth!

You know, maybe if you spent more waking time trying to work out all the possible angles of your trips your subconscious wouldn't feel the need to work overtime as you sleep. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

DS has some whomping dreams, too. He must get that from me because DH never remembers his dreams. If his dreams were anything like mine he would remember! :rotfl2:
I feel bad for DS, though, because he has very vivid, realistic dreams and sometimes they are very scary.

So now that I am awake I called to book our resort photo session. The man asked me my room number. Even with my amazing psychic abilities I couldn't manage that. Luckily he said that was OK. So we are all set for a photo session at SSR. :)

:yay: Maybe he expected you to have the same advanced technology gifts that AirTran was expecting for our return trip from Atlanta. With that thought in mind... maybe they were both the same person doing the scheduling. ;)

Jen- I know I missed you but have a Magical Trip!

Bernadette- :wizard: for you DH. How did the sleepover go?

Elizabeth- Sending good thoughts and :wizard: to your mom for the next week. Some for you too, :wizard: I have those very vivid, nonsensical dreams all the time too. They were very scary and realistic when I was little.

Tia- So glad to hear the Terra got to sing with her Daddy present. I can just see her jumping up and down. :goodvibes

Amy- I am so glad you went to the doctor and got treated. Noah is absolutely precious. I think it looks like Alyssa is smitten with Noah, baby boys aren't so bad after all. :goodvibes You look fabulous! And I loved Matty's cake, too cute!!

Jennifer- I am loving the pics of the girls. They are growing so fast.

Tammi- I hope Nicholas is just fighting a virus. :wizard: Congrats to Alyssa on her first lost tooth! We need a picture!!

Elin- Yesterday sounded like a fabulous day, with the exception of the swimsuit shopping. I'll have to look out for that beer you like. I am sure Eric would like it and while I don't really like beer I do like dark German beer a lot so I'll give it a try.

Deb- Thanks for stopping in and updating us on your trip. Sounds like a great time. Love the photopass pics!!

Becky- Glad you got to enjoy a day in NYC!

Marci- Good luck to the boys in the baseball tournaments today! :wizard:

Steffy- Those poor, poor fish.

Debbie- I hope your internet stays connected! Have fun at the water park today.

I know I missed a bunch of you and I am sorry, :grouphug:'s and :wizard: all around.

I think you would too. Just be aware that it has a 10.5% alcohol content. Don't try to drink 9 of them, please... ;)

Janet, the BBQ rules do not apply here, John does not even cook the food. I have a cousin who does it for me, but if he is late I will start it.

I am happy to report that I feel almost 100% today. I have some lingering congestion but overall I feel much better. I finally started to get my appetite back yesterday so I ate a bit more than soup broth and hot tea. My stomach though was not quite so happy.

Lucy seemed a bit off yesterday but after an early bedtime she seems better this morning. Mo still has a full head and the cough but she seems fine otherwise. I have no clue how Emma is- She has been at my inlaws since Monday night. I miss her but she is enjoying the time with Alex. They leave today so she'll be home tonight.

I watched the kids all week but at night have taken it really easy. Eric took Emma, Molly and Alex to a local carnival Thursday night. He met up with my mom, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and her dd's. I stayed home with Lucy and just vegged out. Last night was Emma's end of year soccer party. Eric took her to that and then dropped her back off at his parents. My mom took Mo for the night. She was going to take Lucy too but since she seemed to not be feeling well I opted to stay home. After Eric dropped Emma off he went to the boys' (daycare) grandfather's retirement party for a few hours. I felt bad that I missed it but it felt good to put Lucy to bed at 7pm and then lay in bed and watch a movie. I took some Nyquil at 8:30 and passed out shortly after that!

There is not much on tap for today other than cleaning. I have til Friday to get the house cleaned and readied for my cousin's arrival. And since I've managed to do nothing this week I am a week behind.

Tomorrow we have Allyson's birthday party. I feel obligated to go but really want to just stay home and take it easy. It's a pool party and I know that if we go we'll be there for a few hours as the girls will not want to get out of the pool.

At $17 for 4 there is no way I will be drinking 9 of them!

Last weekend when we were away my uncle introduced us to a new gin, Tanqueray Rangpur. He loves his Gin and Tonics in the afternoon. It smelled so fresh (it is flavored with lime) and tasted really great too! If I was inclined to have an afternoon drink this would be it.

I think you would too. Just be aware that it has a 10.5% alcohol content. Don't try to drink 9 of them, please... ;)

Jennifer--by the way, im addicted to the flair! ive been sending and taking some for me like crazy :)

oaky im erally leaving now :)

I told you!

Did I mention that I spent a good part of the day yesterday reading "Your horrendous resort experiences" and a thread on the DVC about someone's awful trip to AKV? :rolleyes1

Why do you torture yourself?! :rotfl:

Yesterday was girls' day out here. I took Kristin and her best friend Ashley (who watched over Button while we were in Boston) out for the day. We left here and went downtown. Shopped in the little stores and I bought Kristin a new Vera Bradley purse. Other than a plain black microfiber one she has never liked VB so I was delighted to see that there was one of the new styles and patterns that she liked. Birthday present out of the way! I also got a new straw hat for myself. It is black with a black and khaki ribbon. I find myself wearing hats more and more these days. Kristin and Bob say it is because my Dad always wore a hat.

Then we went to dinner. Ate at the new outdoor Kybecca Wine Bar http://kybeccawinebar.wordpress.com/ because Ashley had wanted to try it. This whole afternoon and evening was a thank-you to her since she would not take any money for watching Button for us. We had a wine tasting before dinner. There was a nice white and an outstanding red that we all really liked. Then we went outside to the wine bar. A couple of bottles of a crisp French white Bordeaux and some wonderful food later, and we were content. Back into the shop we went and came out with a few bottles to add to our wine collections.

We walked through downtown and stopped at the coffee shop and had after dinner coffees. Then we stupidly went to buy a swimsuit for Kristin since Ashley's family has invited her to go to the Outer Banks with them for the upcoming week. Moms... do not... I repeat... DO NOT take your older daughters shopping for a swim suit. It does not matter what you say, how you say it, if you say it or just look like you would say it... there is nothing good to come of this kind of outing. 'nuff said.

A lovely day/evening that lasted 7 hours! (And Bob was a happy man since her was not required to attend the hen party. He had beans and wieners at home for a "cowboy supper.")

That sounds like a wonderful day! I had to chuckle though, about your bathing suit shopping advice! :teeth:

Happy Birthday Olivia.

Could be!
I told DS I swear the guy said his name is "Perro", which is the Spanish word for "dog". In fact, the Uncles' dog is named Perro! (They got the dog from Uncle1's brother, so he already had the name when they got him!) DS said maybe he said "Pedro". Hmm. Maybe. :confused3

Robyn - Glad you are feeling better! :)

I have a question for you DVCers. I could post on the DVC board, but it is easier to post here! ;) If we check in at AKV on Wednesday and are checking out on Sunday do we get trash & towel service on Saturday or no? I am trying to get my tip envelopes in order.

hmmm... sounds interesting. When we finish the bottle of vodka in the freezer I might have to try that one!

As long as we are talking alcohol here... if anyone likes vodka, I highly recommend Pinnacle. It is a French import with with similarities to Grey Goose but at about 2/3 the cost. It is in a plastic bottle which stays in the freezer very nicely if you are so inclined. :goodvibes

Hey everybody! :yay:

I just found this out...might be old news but new news to me....

Ya think Disney is jealous of the Creative DISign Boards?!?!?! =0)

Check out this! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1883250

It is so good to see you Baloo

Heck, we will still have the best shirts. I told Stephanie that since we are losing weight, we will need new shirts for our trip this December to Mouse Fest. :woohoo: :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I'd say yes to T & T on Saturday

Sounds like you did have a great time, Becky! :yay:

Is it normal for you not to know your cabin number when you cruise? I don't think I would like that either.

I know it has been a long time since Hal and I cruised, but we did not know our cabin number until we arrived on the ship. I think I remember being told it was on a certain deck but we were upgraded because we paid early and got bumped up two decks. but I think now if one has cruised before, you could request a certain cabin.

But Stephanie and I already know our cabin number for December and it is neat cause we can read trip reports about the room and have seen pictures too. That makes it more real.

I just love Tanqueray Gin. I always ask for it when we go out. That is one time I can splurge! :goodvibes

I'll have to remember Pinnacle, I also like a vodka called Luksosowa, it's a potato vodka. And If you all like Grand Marnier then remember to try Gran Gala. It is an Italian version of Grand Marnier that is cheaper but taste just as good if not better. Gail uses it in her famous margaritas!!

I could have sniffed that Rangpur all day, it just smelled that good!
