Happy Birthday Olivia.

Thank you for the Birthday wishes for Olivia she loved them.

Off to get showers and then to my moms as she has a bigger back yard so that is where the party is going to be. SO I have to take everything over their and then prepare the food.

Tomorrow we are having Virginia Dedicated at church. Then we have a birthday party for one of the girls cousins at Gattie town. its like chuckie cheese.

I have wasted so much time and I need to get moving. Lucy is napping and I need to be ready when she wakes up. We need to run out and get milk, diapers, paper towels and a birthday gift and then pick up the girls.

Off to get showered and pick up the house a bit. Have a great Saturday.

Sounds like you did have a great time, Becky! :yay:

Is it normal for you not to know your cabin number when you cruise? I don't think I would like that either.

Often times when you book a Disney cruise you will request a specific stateroom or it will be assigned a little while after. In my experience they are typically printed in your documents and luggage tags so they know where to take them. Even if you know your stateroom number it may change on arrival.

We are still just guaranteed to have a certain stateroom category of rooms, just do not know the number. I hope to be assigned soon, other wise our documents will not have them and we will just find out on the ship.

So we're at the 20 day mark. I had a Disney nightmare last night.

We checked in and there was another family in our room! :scared1: ON PURPOSE! They had changed the policy and you had to share rooms. :scared: Well, the other family was weird (parents and a little kid) but we stayed in there the first night. Oh my gosh Elizabeth, I just glee peed my pants!:scared1: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: The next day we tried to switch rooms. They gave us a room where there was a public restroom just inside our room door, so we had to leave our room unlocked so people could get to the restroom. I went to complain about it. While I was gone the check-out deadline passed so the door key wouldn't work (I know - it wasn't supposed to ever lock, but whatever!) So ALL of our stuff was in that room - luggage, park tickets, money, everything. They wouldn't give me another room because I didn't have any money - it was locked in the other room! And they wouldn't open the room for me to get our stuff out. :headache: I went to the concierge desk but the lady told me they weren't open. So I went outside and had a bowl of Raisin Bran (I don't like raisins) and then I told DH I was going back in to stand in the line. Weird!

Did I mention that I spent a good part of the day yesterday reading "Your horrendous resort experiences" and a thread on the DVC about someone's awful trip to AKV? :rolleyes1
You need to stay away from the dvc boards!:lmao:

Yesterday was girls' day out here. I took Kristin and her best friend Ashley (who watched over Button while we were in Boston) out for the day. We left here and went downtown. Shopped in the little stores and I bought Kristin a new Vera Bradley purse. Other than a plain black microfiber one she has never liked VB so I was delighted to see that there was one of the new styles and patterns that she liked. Birthday present out of the way! I also got a new straw hat for myself. It is black with a black and khaki ribbon. I find myself wearing hats more and more these days. Kristin and Bob say it is because my Dad always wore a hat.

Then we went to dinner. Ate at the new outdoor Kybecca Wine Bar http://kybeccawinebar.wordpress.com/ because Ashley had wanted to try it. This whole afternoon and evening was a thank-you to her since she would not take any money for watching Button for us. We had a wine tasting before dinner. There was a nice white and an outstanding red that we all really liked. Then we went outside to the wine bar. A couple of bottles of a crisp French white Bordeaux and some wonderful food later, and we were content. Back into the shop we went and came out with a few bottles to add to our wine collections.

We walked through downtown and stopped at the coffee shop and had after dinner coffees. Then we stupidly went to buy a swimsuit for Kristin since Ashley's family has invited her to go to the Outer Banks with them for the upcoming week. Moms... do not... I repeat... DO NOT take your older daughters shopping for a swim suit. It does not matter what you say, how you say it, if you say it or just look like you would say it... there is nothing good to come of this kind of outing. 'nuff said. Okey dokey, I'm glad Elizabeth already had me headed to the shower, as the glee continued!!:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: A lovely day/evening that lasted 7 hours! (And Bob was a happy man since her was not required to attend the hen party. He had beans and wieners at home for a "cowboy supper.")

Jen- I know I missed you but have a Magical Trip!

Bernadette- :wizard: for you DH. How did the sleepover go?

Elizabeth- Sending good thoughts and :wizard: to your mom for the next week. Some for you too, I have those very vivid, nonsensical dreams all the time too. They were very scary and realistic when I was little.

Tia- So glad to hear the Terra got to sing with her Daddy present. I can just see her jumping up and down.

Amy- I am so glad you went to the doctor and got treated. Noah is absolutely precious. I think it looks like Alyssa is smitten with Noah, baby boys aren't so bad after all. You look fabulous! And I loved Matty's cake, too cute!!

Jennifer- I am loving the pics of the girls. They are growing so fast.

Tammi- I hope Nicholas is just fighting a virus. Congrats to Alyssa on her first lost tooth! We need a picture!!

Elin- Yesterday sounded like a fabulous day, with the exception of the swimsuit shopping. I'll have to look out for that beer you like. I am sure Eric would like it and while I don't really like beer I do like dark German beer a lot so I'll give it a try.

Deb- Thanks for stopping in and updating us on your trip. Sounds like a great time. Love the photopass pics!!

Becky- Glad you got to enjoy a day in NYC!

Marci- Good luck to the boys in the baseball tournaments today! :wizard:

Steffy- Those poor, poor fish.

Debbie- I hope your internet stays connected! Have fun at the water park today.

I know I missed a bunch of you and I am sorry, :grouphug:'s and :wizard: all around.

Ditto. :goodvibes I am thankful that you posted this, as I have no time to catch up since I must shower and hit the road...:rotfl2:

Could be!
I told DS I swear the guy said his name is "Perro", which is the Spanish word for "dog". In fact, the Uncles' dog is named Perro! (They got the dog from Uncle1's brother, so he already had the name when they got him!) DS said maybe he said "Pedro". Hmm. Maybe. :confused3

Robyn - Glad you are feeling better! :)

I have a question for you DVCers. I could post on the DVC board, but it is easier to post here! ;) If we check in at AKV on Wednesday and are checking out on Sunday do we get trash & towel service on Saturday or no? I am trying to get my tip envelopes in order.
You could ask for T&T on Friday, so you would have 2 days and then 2 days. :goodvibes

Stephanie - I doubt you and your clan are unworthy. Those little fishies were overwhelmed by the exercise requirements in your Wii Fit household...

??
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: After this post, it is shower all the way!!!!

We have been doing so well with the Wii. My DD is so happy today. Instead of the voice saying, your obese, it said, your overweight!! She has lost I forget how much BMI. She's really doing well. But my son and his wife have also lost weight. :hippie:

So it is on!!! California Grill, here I come....:cool1:

I know it has been a long time since Hal and I cruised, but we did not know our cabin number until we arrived on the ship. I think I remember being told it was on a certain deck but we were upgraded because we paid early and got bumped up two decks. but I think now if one has cruised before, you could request a certain cabin.

But Stephanie and I already know our cabin number for December and it is neat cause we can read trip reports about the room and have seen pictures too. That makes it more real.

I am thinking that DCL once again outdoes its competitors in this respect. I have been looking online and it doesn't seem like choosing your stateroom is an option always!

I'd say yes to T & T on Saturday

Thanks! :) That's what I thought from looking at the SSR ressie, but it didn't say that we would get T & T on our AKV ressie. Actually, as bad as the AKV reviews have been, we may NOT get T & T! We may end up with the trash and towels the last few families left in there, too! :scared1:

Srephanie - I didn't know you could request a different day! That would be better for us if they will do that.
How wonderful that you are all enjoying the Wii Fit! :thumbsup2 I think DS is boxing on his Wii. That's what it sounds like.

Heidi- When would you like to go to New York city? Perhaps we need to do a DDA NYC meet sometime in the fall. Would anyone be interested?

I would love to see some shows, do a double decker bus tour, go to ground zero during day time, Ellis island, Statue of liberty, etc

Yes sometime in the fall, would be nice. :)
Even if I have to take a bus myself and just meet you there, I really wanna go.

So who can enlighten me on asthma? The dr. said Nicholas has bronchial asthma, triggered by a respiratory infection. I always thought that asthma was an occuring thing, like after too much physical activity. He is just constantly coughing, like every 30 seconds, so when he said asthma, I was surprised. Anyway, they gave him a breathing treatment in the office and sent us home with 4 different prescriptions. I will swing by soon and pick them up. Nicholas did have respiratory issues when he was a toddler, like I said before, pneumonia, croup and bronchitis. We also have the nebulizer from when he needed treatments years ago. Thanks for all the good thoughts.

Unfortunately I don't have any first-hand knowledge to impart. But I do hope you and Nicholas can get it under control so he feels better very soon!

Tammi, unfortunately asthma has a ton of triggers. For some people, they can run, play sports, etc and have no trouble, but an allergy will trigger an attack. For others, it's the opposite, and others still () have problems with all of the above. Also, the symptoms might look like a full blown "asthma attack" (wheezing, seemingly gasping for air, changing breathing patterns, etc). They might, as maybe with Nicholas now, just be an increase in coughing or slightly more shallow breaths or something.

In almost every case I know of, though, respiratory infection can certainly cause an exacerbation. The good news is, as you grow up with the diagnosis, you learn what kinds of things trigger and/or alleviate symptoms. I hope the meds have him under control and feeling better in no time! :goodvibes

Thanks, Jennifer. I did find out that he was riding in a car last week with a smoker (he was with his dad), and smoke is completely foreign to him, so that could have had something to do with it. I made his dad aware of it and got a good response, so hopefully I've nipped that in the bud. I just picked up and gave him his meds.....prednisolone, amoxicillian, codiene cough syrup. He'll take his albuterol again later. I've never dealt with 4 meds at a time so this is going to be interesting for me trying to keep it all on schedule.

Tammi - I hope Nicholas feels better soon! :wizard:

Ds has "reactive airway" which is similar to asthma. Starting when he was about 5 he would cough. He would cough like 40 times in 5 minutes. (I counted one night because we used the baby monitor in his room until he was about 8.) They put him on an inhaler twice a day along with an antihistamine syrup. He only had problems in the winter and spring.

He also had some years that were worse than others. At one point they switched him to Singulair and an inhaler. I didn't think that worked as well as the first combo. Only once did a Dr. ever hear wheezing, and that was when we saw another partner in our peds office.

Now he seems to have outgrown it, but I strongly suspect Princess has something similar because she coughs incessantly and cough & allergy meds don't seem to help.
