Well, there are no Wii Fits to be found in the Fredericksburg area. I called Costco, 3 Walmarts, 3 Targets, 2 Gamestops and an EB Games. Did I forget anyplace?

My SIL has been trying to locate one since they first came out. They are no where to be found in our area either.
We had a delicious breakfast at Kona. After that we hit the Lego store at downtown Disney and the kids spent their Disney money on Lego sets. It was super hot by then so we decided to hang out in the camper until dinner time then hit Epcot. Epcot has evening EMH tonight so we'll utilize that![]()
Ok don't laugh..I have never made a steak before but for some reason I thought it would be nice for dinner. We don't have a BBQ outside, well we do but its not clean & no charcoal so I was going to broil it but I have no idea how long. It's about 2 lbs & its marinating in the fridge (garlic, olive oil, herbs)
I am chopping up red peppers, onions, & mushrooms to sautee separately.
Anne Marie, it won't take long to cook, depending on how well done you want it. I never cook steaks inside, always out on the grill, so I'm just guessing, but I'd say 5 or so minutes on each side. How thick it is will influence cooking time as well. Leave the oven door cracked too. Make sure you take it out of the fridge and bring to room temp before cooking too. After it's done, let stand about 5 minutes before cutting.
All I can suggest is to keep checking it & turn over when needed. You could also put the steak in foil with the chopped veggies on top & cook in the oven, I have done this with smaller steaks & they come out really good.
But you are making me hungry. We are having pizza and corn on the cob tonight. Thanks!!!
It's about 1 inch thick or so.....I am so not a chef!!![]()
Elizabeth....been thinking of you. I am sending calming vibesyour way.
Tom...thinking of you as well. I hope things progress in a positive manner for your mom.![]()
Those are all wonderful ideas, Elizabeth. I'm sure the DDA will come through for you! Thanks, Kristine!![]()
Tom, I hope your mom is doing better since the feeding tube is in place!![]()
I am trying to think of what I could send to Mom as she gets ready for chemo. I found an incredibly soft throw blanket at Marshall's, so maybe I'll start with that? She can't handle anything with a strong fragrance, but maybe I can find some nice unscented lotion. She said the chemo center has a TV at each chair but she didn't know if she could watch DVDs. She also didn't know if they had movies on hand or if she would need to bring her own. I guess I could get her a subscription to Reader's Digest or something. She was talking about getting a turban. Wigs are hot, and I don't know if she would wear a scarf. I am sure there are classes where she could learn how to tie a scarf but she hasn't looked into any of that.
Anybody have an suggestions?
The other thing I thought of is something the DDA can help with. If anyone would like to send her a card or a note or a joke I could bundle them up for her. She would be squirrelly about me sharing her address, but if you want to send them to me I could forward them to her. Just an idea.![]()
