Well I just called Banana Boat & explained what happened. I spoke with a very nice lady who filed a report & is sending me coupons for the full purchase of the sunscreen & a mailing label to send the bottle I have back to them so they can check if something is wrong with it. Nice to know good customer service still can be found.

I'm glad you got some help! Will you get to find out the results of the tests?

Looks like a fabulous time! We love going to the Bowie Baysox (the O's farm team). The stadium is very kid friendly, a great play area, the kids get to run the bases after the game and fireworks at the end. And it's much cheaper than heading to Camden Yards!

Morning all! A good friend of mine could use the prayer power of the DDA. This is a little long, but I can't seem to wrap my around a condensed version right now.

Absolutely! I hope they can find out what is causing him all that pain.

Don't be scared (I know better said then done) you will feel so much better once there out.

When I was little I had strep at least 5 times a year. My pediatrician was very conservative and always said that mine were "twosies" and she only recommended removing them if they were threesies". Knock on wood I've had very little issues with them as an adult. But my throat is the first thing to hurt when I get sick (I have a hard time swallowing).

Garrett had no problems with the surgery, I am sure it helped him been younger. He was able to come home that night & within a few days he was back to his normal self. Like I said earlier this was the best thing for him.

I think it's much easier for kids to bounce back from the surgery. Emma had no trouble either, her surgery lasted less than 10 minutes!! She wanted to go back to school the next day. The one thing I did learn was to stay in front of the pain. Emma refused the pain meds and by the time she needed them it hurt to swallow. But once she got it down she did fine with recovery. And she loved eating ice cream 3x's a day.

There were multiple facets to her not doing well. I think the first issue was that her tonsils didn't need to come out. I think the doctor who took them out probably wasn't very competent because he didn't stand up to the mom and refuse to take them out like all of the other doctors she went to. Kind of makes me question his ethics. After the surgery the mom didn't follow the post-op instructions so her DD didn't heal like she should have.

It sounds like Garrett was a good candidate to have them out!

I guess when we were young it was a routine procedure - everybody had their tonsils out. (I still have mine.) But now the doctors are much more selective about recommending the surgery. I think if your doctor says they need to come out then they REALLY need to come out!

Eric just called from Costco. He was there looking for Mario Kart racing for the Wii and guess what he stumbled upon?































A whole pallet of Wii Fits!! But no Mario Kart

I called my mom a little while ago to ask her how she wants to set up the phone call with the oncologist. She is babysitting my cousin's 1 year old DD AGAIN! That HAS to stop before she starts chemo! I know her sister is overwhelmed by taking care of those kids ALL the time, but her sister needs to STOP providing free childcare 24/7. Those kids have a mother (though she's not a good mother) and a grandmother. Mom's sister is the GREAT-grandmother! And now Mom is being roped into watching them!

Anyway, mom is going to ask the oncologist to phone from his landline and put it on speaker. If he is just going to talk with her in an exam room she will call me from her cell. Hopefully Princess will cooperate so I can hear what the Dr. has to say. Since the housekeeper is here today I doubt Princess will still be asleep at 3 PM.

Eric just called from Costco. He was there looking for Mario Kart racing for the Wii and guess what he stumbled upon?

A whole pallet of Wii Fits!! But no Mario Kart

Is he going to buy some and sell them for a handsome profit on eBay?

That is really insane that they are expecting your mom to babysit. I know that when my girlfriend's MIL had breast cancer she didn't stop watching her grandkids, all 6 of them!! My girlfriend's DH has a sister who couldn't afford to put her kids in daycare so the mom watched her 3. And she watched my girlfriend's 3 because she felt obligated to do the same for her son even though they could afford daycare. She continued to watch them all through her radiation and chemo. I thought it was incredibly selfish of them to put that on their mother. My girlfriend should have found someone during that time to at least lighten her MIL's load. But my girlfriend kept saying "Well she says she can handle it." She said that because she felt like she didn't have a choice with her DD. I don't know how the MIL did it because the kids are not the best behaved kids to begin with.
