DDA Chapter 9

is he a jerk? see i never heard that! wow

Maybe he's matured a bit... From the time I was 16 through college I worked at the front desk and then concierge of a Marriott in my suburb. The tennis players, coaches, etc all stayed (and still stay) there -- they practically fill the hotel -- when they come to town for the WS Masters Series. The first year he was ever in the ATP at all, he acted like he was the greatest thing on earth. He is/was a great athlete, so I'm sure he had been told this forever, but he had never once proven himself in any sort of professional matches at all, and yet he was hands down the cockiest one there.

Granted, that was whatever... almost 8 years ago? He could be a total saint now, he just left a bad taste in my mouth. I never said I gave grudges up easily when it comes to professional athletes :rolleyes1 I will NEVER like the NY Giants so long as Eli Manning plays for him after he was such a butt on draft day! :rotfl:

o wow! its always interesting to hear stories like that!

I feel better....I thought I was the only one who was unaware

I read this on several different forums..Including the Dis....It's not a 100%...but since it has been reported by numerous sources...I am guessing it is true :confused3

But the biggie appears to foreshadow a major policy change. As of July 16, you will not be able to make any Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) for any dates past January 15, 2009. ADRs needed for January 16, 2009 or later will not be able to be booked until October 15.

There are 3 exceptions: Chef Mickey's,Cinderella's Royal Table, and Victoria and Albert's.

It looks like Disney is preparing to move the reservations window from 180 days back to 90 days, with the exception of the three most-in-demand. While the days of walk-up, same-day reservations everywhere are probably gone forever, it'll be nice not to have to worry about what you want to eat half a year in advance.

Oh, that stinks! This is the first I'm hearing of it...

They did? I didn't know this either. I thought they changed it to 180 days + 10 from checkin.

That makes sense to me. Can you imagine what it must cost Disney to have people making changes over & over again for their ADR's especially when they haven't been able to post the schedule within 180 days? I know they had issues getting the dates up in time for November. People were waiting and waiting for the schedule. Plus, other than us overplanners - who knows where they want to eat 6 months before their trip. With the economy, I see more of these chanages coming everywhere.

FYI.

Liberty Square Bridge - 8/15 - 8/29 - No Spectromagic during this time - Disney Dream Come True Parade will be performed twice: 3:00 and 7:00pm

I'm supposed to be working. However, the medicine I took for my sinus infection has made me very light headed. Instead I'm DISing and watching Clean Sweep. It is the Dirtiest House in America episode. It is quite gross.

We don't have a date yet, as she hasn't been to the doctor, we got the news via a home test. She thinks the end of March or April, I think she is probably further along than that, I think this baby got started on the cruise.

Awwwwwww! How cute!!

Elin, when did you become a Dis sponsor?

I have been for a while. I had taken the sponsorship logo off my signature but when I "re-upped" this time I was able to add it as my avatar. It is not new, though... it has been there quite a while now.

Hope you feel better soon.
Glad that you had a nice weekend at your mom's.
Sorry the picture of you crossing the finish line with Roddy didn't come out.

I think I have a sinus infection.

Glad that the morning sickness is winding down. :wizard: for the tiredness and back aches.

Pretty good! I think the morning sickness is winding down. Now, I'm just tired all the time, and my back aches a lot. Other than that, I'm doing well.

After hearing me talk about all of your stories of the Wii and the Wii fit, Alan has decided he wants one for Christmas. What is the best way to get one: ebay, online store, keep checking at my local stores, etc? What is an average price for a complete system? What do the individual games cost?

Wii is $250
Wii Fit is $89.99
Games range from $20 to over $100 depending what accessories and things come with them. Most are probably $50 -$60

so when did they change ADR's back to the 90 days out rule?

I totally missed that

Well, depends on who you ask. Apparently they are changing over the reservation system and the window may be 90 days temporarily for things other than the Big 3. I don't think Disney has announced what the actual policy will be once the computers have been switched over. I guess 90 days is OK. Whatever. After the August trip we aren't going back until NEXT August. If the reservation gods are smiling on me we'll be in concierge, so THEY can worry with the ADRs. ;)

Thanks, Becky. Do you think it would be better to check with my local Game Stop store, or go online?

You could check locally or online. In some areas they are still hard to find in stores.

Actually the Wii is $250, sorry for telling you the incorrect price.
