DDA Chapter 9

Glynis, we bought our Wii bundle pack at Sam's for $500. It has 3 controllers and came with 4 different games. I am not sure if all of the bundles have the same games or if there are different versions.
If you connect your Wii to the internet the kids can download games with "Wii Points" gift cards. DS bought a $20 card and loaded some games on his.

Great information. Thanks!

I was going to head to Target for opening this morning as I have heard they put them out at store opening on Sunday. But I decided I preferred to sleep instead of get up early.

Oh, I forgot about Target. Guess I'll start checking there, too.

Have I mentioned how aggravated I am getting trying to find a stupid blister stick? :headache:
Last year we bought Band Aid brand from the Band Aid section at Target. It was a brand new product. It worked great! Now it has apparently been discontinued.

Fine. I figured we'll get Body Glide.

REI had a shelf tag for it but they didn't have any in stock. DH went to Academy Sports today to get propane for the grill and they didn't have any Body Glide, either. On the way home DH stopped at the bicycle shop near our house and they didn't have any, either. All 3 of those places are listed on the Body Glide website.

There are 2 "running" specialty stores not too far from here, so I guess we'll be going there next. Actually, I will CALL before I go.

I hate United airlines....I just spent 30 minutes fighting with them

Monistat also makes an anti-chafing powder gel. I have seen it available at Walmart and Target.

I have not tried it as I have yet to deplete my 5 Body glides I purchased initially. I got a discount and free shipping getting that many.

Elizabeth,---If you need it, we can get it here for you. Just let Stephanie and I know.

We bought our BodyGlide on Amazon. It wouldn't even be worth trying to find it in a store in my area.

Thanks. I'll start checking Best Buy as well as Walmart and Game Stop.

So, what comes with the Sports Console? How is it different from the regular console?

It comes with the sports pack of games that includes baseball, bowling, golf, boxing and tennis. We worked up quite a sweat and got our heart rates up decently just with those!! It also has a controller and a nunchuck.

There is also one with the Wii Play games, I believe. They are more "kid oriented" in my opinion. They were entertaining, but would not provide a lot of value in the long run for a family like yours. (again, my opinion)... I bought the Wii Play set additionally because it was a very reasonable way to get the second controller and 6 games (at least that is how Tammi described it to me :rotfl: )!

I also think that you can purchase just the console with the controller... and I know there are bundles (like Elizabeth's) with a lot more things included that might do better for your larger family. It is worth doing your homework on, that's for sure!

I saw some at the running store where I bought my last pair of shoes this spring. Good luck!

I want something specifically for blisters - I don't know if an anti-chafing formula will work. Thanks, though!

Thanks! There are still 3 stores within 10 miles that are SUPPOSED to carry it. I also found a different brand on the Sports Authority website that they might have in the store. Sports Authority is across the street, so that woiuld be easy. I am assuming REI will get more, I just don't know how quickly they will get it!

Elizabeth - drugstore.com has Bodyglide for sale. If you spend $25 you can get free S&H. Do yo uneed other things for yout trip?

That's what I was looking at. I can't think of anything else I need, so I guess I will look around locally for a few more days.
