Good luck Stephanie, I know you can do this :thumbsup2

Please do post here, I would love to hear how well this works for you. We do not have a Wii, but the Wii fit has gotten my attention.
my night attendant is addicted to wii fit. she isnt really trying to loose weight but has lost like 8-10 pounds. she said its so fun

So I forgot to tell you guys this, So yesterday at the Kutztown Folk Festival I was actually at the tent with Radio Disney. They played songs, did games, trivia and had giveaways for the kids. They had fun and so did I.
Our Girl Scout council has partnered with them for a few different things coming up. We will be having premiere parties with them and the Disney Channel for the Cheetah Girls TV Movie coming out in August. I will be be away for this event, but they will probably have something special on my trip for the movie.

I have to figure out what I need to take with for my training next week. I have very little information about what I need to take or anything. So it may be interesting. Do they not realize I want to know the who, what, when, where, how and why before I go. I guess I will just wing it and hope I have what I need.
My friend Dorinda (who has gone to Disney with me at least 8 times) is there this week! What a small world!

Bernadette - That toile is precious! I want an outfit like that! :rotfl2:
Thanks!

Thanks!

Did you make the pre-shirred dresses yet? I think a great thing to try would be the Easy Fit Pants on www.youcanmakethis.com I know the $10 seems pricey for a simple pant pattern but the instructions are so super clear and the results so great. It includes size 1 to 10 and doll sizes and you can use if for pants, shorts, capris. I have used it at least 10 times already. It gives you a really good introduction to clothing construction.

no I am going to wait till the first of Sept. so I know how much to shorten Virginia's
I still have to sew her blanket

Glynis - My former employer who had a boy with Down's had a very high AFP result, and they STRONGLY recommended an amnio. She didn't want one. At her ultrasound they didn't see anything wrong, but it wasn't a high level ultrasound. All of his organs are normal - no heart defects so they just assumed he was fine. She went into pre-term labor at 29 weeks, and it was then that they said the baby's leg bones were measuring short and there might be something wrong. When he was born at 33 or 34 weeks the nurses in the delivery room told her he had Down's, but she didn't believe them. They ordered all of the genetic testing, and he really does have Down's.
They told my mom that there was an area of Diva's spine that looked "wide" on the ultrasound but Mom refused an amnio. Diva's spine is completely normal.

Speaking of genetic testing, Mom said the lab doing the genetic testing on her tumor has a program for low-income women to have the costs covered at 100%. But she doesn't trust them. She wants the application sent so she can review it. Want to guess what that means? It means she will sit on that application and NEVER get the results, so the oncologist won't know what the risk of recurrance is. The lady from the genetics lab told Mom IF her recurrence risk was low enough that she might be able to skip chemo. That sounds kind of odd to me. Her node involvement is significant - chemo is DEFINITELY indicated. In fact, her insurance won't cover the test BECAUSE she is node positive. Node positive cancers require chemo. It's all rather confusing. :headache:

Regardless of what the AFP says, I will not have an amnio! Too many things could go wrong. If there's something wrong with the baby, we'll deal with it as it comes. That's our philosophy. For some reason, this baby is coming to our family, so we will take him/her however he/she comes and be grateful!

I decided not to do the AFP test with both girls as I was not doing an Amino so I decided I did not want to know,

That makes sense!

That was my thinking too. I figured the AFP was non invasive and could help prepare us but the amnio was too risky-my sister had a problem with one.

Allears confirmed....

Hi everyone-
I finally got online at my grandma's house. Im having a good time, a few tough moments (This is the first time Ive slept her since my grandpa's funeral) but were getting through.
I got to talk to 2 DDAers tonight! i chatted with Chanon and then left a message for deb..Deb called me back and said she had been on the tower of terror. Said they were having a blast! seemed to have done alot already.
Chris conquered the Kitchen sink in...37 minutes, i believe...Whatever the time, it was over 2min better that last time!
Sounds like they are having a great time and i cant wait to see them in a couple of weeks!

We are back from dinner. Kathrin's friend gets into Logan about 8:30 so we will pick her up at the airport and drive out to the Cape.

Bernadette - are you still awake? I am thinking that is too late in the morning for breakfast with you at Panera... am I right?

Sounds like Deb and her family are having a great time! The Kitchen Sink just makes my teeth hurt to look at! I hope she took lots of pictures of the process!

Just got back from the doctor. The baby's heartbeat sounds perfect, and the doctor said everything looks good. I go in on the 22nd for an ultrasound, unless the blood test comes back positive for something. If that's the case, they'll send me to the high risk ultrasound doctor. I honestly don't think anything will be wrong, though. I just feel really good about this pregnancy lately!

We are planning on taking all the kids with us to the ultrasound. They are so excited about it.
I'm glad all is well so far!

I'm here....I could go to work early and take an early lunch. I wouldn't think you could get to Hingham before 10am. But I understand if you just want to head right to the cape.

Bernadette I love it. I need to get over my fear and try to make the girls outfits. I am just afraid I will mess up
All of your creations are very nice, but I really like this one. Maybe it's the soft blue with the white that does it for me.
